thanks for the link but it was useless, they were files that i couldnt use,i downloaded on pc, un zipped and expected to be able to runa program but this was not possible as they were unknown files.
http://corecodec.org/frs/download.php/366/tcpmp.arm.cabs.0.71.zip
download this file, then extract the cab file which is inside, then copy the cab to your device, then run it, then it will install, and after that a new icon will pop in programs menu, then start it, then open the file you wish to play, then watch it.
i can not write it simpler, sorry
thanks, thats straight forward enough.
as my laptop is in for repairs to the motherboard im struggling to extract the cab file needed, if some one would be kind enough to give a link to the cab file i would be most gratefull.
thanks for the help guys
try resco explorer it can handle archives, or pocketrar

[Q] Help to decode a phonebook file from A1000

Hi,
I have a Motorola A1000 that has definitely failed.
Before it had broken, I had downloaded the phonebook with all my contact numbers.
I wish to retrieve the phone numbers, but it is a binary file that cannot be read by any normal editor (ASCII editor, winword, excel).
I can see the numbers and the names of the contacts, but they're mixed in an unreadable mess.
The file is a file named 297.dat. It is one of many .dat files that I downloaded from the A1000.
It is impossible to read it with the cable SW that I used to manage the phone. The programs rejects any operation if the phone is not connected, and refuses to read the backup copy of the phone files.
Can somebody help me?
I desperatly need to retrieve my phonebook numbers.
Best regards
Alberto
Have you tried using a hex editor to manually pull the numbers and enter them into a new phone or just a text file? If you could post the file someone here might be able to help you if you can't on your own.
Here is the file
Hi,
I have opened it with ultraedit, but I cannot understand the rule by which the number and the names are associated between them.
I attach the (zipped) binary file. If somebody wishes to exercise his skill in decoding and decrypting, I'll be very grateful!!

[Q] How to get the files in WP7?

Hi all, how can I get a file from windows phone 7 such as the camerasettingsmanifest.XXXX.xml or others. My phone is Omnia7. With WP7 Root Tool, I can browse and operate files in this system on the phone, but I don't know how to get them out. Anyone can help me? Thanks.
Install schaps WPDM, explore to the file you want, copy it on the phone to My Documents folder on the phone (as if it is being used by the system you cannot transfer it directly to your desktop), and then transfer that to your PC.
Gr8,thank you so much!
No Problem - here is the link (you need to be on NoDo; no Mango support yet).

[Q] synchronize a file using usb

Hi,
I'm developping an android application that need a file generated from a web application. the problem is that this application is for a hospital where we can not use wifi to download this generated file (xml) directly from the web application.
Thats why I'm searching for another meathod to synchronize the file and to transfert it to the tablet.
Could you give me some propositions ?
Is there some open source application to synchronize a pc folder with a tablet forder throught MTP protocol ?
is there any good java library ?
I found two libraries but :
jMTP successfully recognizes my Android devices but as of this writing there is no support for file transfer of any kind. All I've managed to do is go through the file system.
jusbpmp is supposed to be able to but its awfully buggy and fails to recognize some of the devices I'm trying to develop for.
Thank you,
You can use a MicroSD card.
Why not use ADB?
I sync my Kyocera Rise nicely with ADB and adbsync.exe

[Q] Lost a picture folder during transfer, how to recover?

Hello Everyone,
A friend of mine lost a folder containing photos on her TF700. She was using the file manager to transfer the photos onto a USB.
My question is:
If she just dragged the folder some where else, how could I help her find it?
If she deleted it, How would I be able to help her recover it?
Im fairly noob when it comes to android, so please be kind.
Thanks,
Joe
