Hi, I have been using the CPU Monitor app to track my phone's health. Lately, I have been getting Good status. But recently, I get the Warning status.
According to the CPU Monitor, it is due to the CPU Usage and the space left on the SD card. My questions are is it possible to turn off background apps permantally? I have been using Greenify from Exposed, but every time I reboot. The apps I have hibernated.. Are no longer hibernated.
Also regarding the Clean Master app, when I free RAM. The apps I have selected not to free, must be reselected after reboot.
I just want to have certain apps to not run in the background. Also, is there a way to have CPU Monitor delete the history of my previous scans? Thank you in advance!

Don't use ram free.
use xposed framework and the boot manager to stop apps at from starting at boot.
To turn off apps permanently to have to freeze them or uninstall
Thank you, I will use boot manager, should I remove clean master app?

Personally I don't use it. I don't understand why it needs to run in the background. To kill app? I don't think so, Android does not need it. I use SD Maid.
Sigh. Using task managers on Android with devices that have more than 512 mb RAM is useless, and slows your phone down...

Oh good to know. Thank you for your wisdom.

personally I've never use battery doctor, does it have profiles to enable, disable things like 3g, location or something could be good.
turn data to 2G while screen is off saves a lot of battery.
I like Juice Defender,

You can use the built in privacy guard and just deny autostart.

My response had a bit of a know-it-all tone over it, sorry . But yeah, task managers aren't a very good thing to use.
Battery saving apps don't do any harm and if they have special power saving profiles(screen brightness low, signals off, GPS etc.), sure, use them if you want!
Hope that helps

Since I am running franco.kernel with VomerTweaks now. The battery life is pretty good so far. I am running tasker with VomerTweaks.
Tasker is a bit complex because I get confused and overwhelmed easy. I am still learning and have a positive outlook on this Android device. However, lately it has been running slow. (when I run a game in landscape mode, it shifts the home screen to landscape then launches the game. Before, it would just launch. Also, some apps are glitchy now, and it wasn't like that before. (When I open an app, it shows a transparency of the app with the home screen as the background) and would have to re-launch to fix.
This all happened when I applied the VomerTweaks. I haven't done too much research on the VomerTweaks, but I hear everyone is saying it works great. I am having a different experience.
Also, the camera has been hot due to movie watching... but hasn't been doing this when I had battery doctor installed. I will install CPU monitor when I get back home to see what's up. I apologize if what I type is very choppy and unorganized.
My question is if I install VomerTweaks and Battery Doctor, will it conflict and change the system settings and confuse the Android device?
Thank you again.
Install the FKU app from Franco or per app settings then you can change the frequencies for individual apps. All my games I've put at stock settings with Vomer some games experience lag due to the low frequency of CPU and GPU with per app I've got them all on stock and they run just fine. I've even lowered the CPU on non CPU taxing apps like tapatalk for example.

My recommendation to you is to keep things simple. I have many apps, but I still always have around 1.7GBs of free RAM on average. I have my OPO overclocked to 2.880GHz and the battery still lasts me the entire day with a lot to spare. With time you'll learn to tweak the kernel and weed out and replace inefficient apps to keep the OPO at an optimal state. I now longer use memory or battery "management" apps, they just do more harm, and I find it absurd that a device such as this should get bogged down to such degree.
I just came from reading the "[Q] Wrong kernel : black screen, no fastboot, no adb, no factory reset" thread.
It was heart wrenching to read but as I got closer the page 14, there was light at the tunnel. This community is too awesome.
Anyways, I do not want to ever experience a hard bricked device, that would just destroy me. However, I do love tweaking my phone so that it runs with the least hiccups as possible.
So seeing the lags after installing the VomerTweak bothers me a little. I will keep an open mind and when the develop updates it, I will definately try it again. My question is there a way to uninstall VomerTweaks after flashing the zip file. Or is there a way to make it better with franco.kernel? If so, how? Thank you again.
P.S: I don't know why, but my gut tells me I should not uninstall the VomerTweak, I do not know why... Just a FYI. lol

How do you overclock your OPO to 2.880GHz? I watch 720p / 1080p Youtube videos for 3 hours using MX Player app and I play 20 minutes of Anomaly my battery life is 15% from a full charge. Also, OPO gets really hot after I play 20 minutes of Anomaly. I'm not sure if this is normal. Also, whenever I set my MX player app to play the Youtube videos in the background, I always have to wait 20~30 secs before it skips the next video. This would happen even before I flashed the VomerTweaks.
Thank you I am aware that the memory and battery apps do more harm. I uninstalled it too. Instead I use Greenify, CM Security, SD Maid, Boot Manager, BusyBox Free, Tasker with VomerTweaks, and Xposed Installer using Nova Launcher. I will post pictures on what's on my home screen.
This is a widget called Animated Photo Frame Widget+, also I blocked out the contacts I have.
The widget is called PowerAmp
This widget is called Weather & Clock Widget
This widget is called DigiCal.
This widget is Animated Photo Frame Widget+ again, but this one changes pictures every 20 secs. Again, I blacked out the contacts I have.
The background I am using is called Wave. I use Bluelight Filter so I don't get blind during the night.
Just a FYI, I bought and supported all the developers who created these apps and widgets. Also, there were no lags before I removed the Clean Master and Battery Doctor, it was only after I installed VomerTweaks.

We'll I'm just running a fully updated rooted stock ROM. I'm using AK kernel which is my favorite one for this device, and I use the Synapse kernel app that the dev tells you to use, I think that your will be impressed with allnthe things that app can do, thought I'm not sure it works with other kernels besides AK. You can't overclock on Franco's kernel but you can with AK. 2.880GHz is as high as it goes, and its safe and stable in my opinion. I've bought four OPO's already and its worked without issue on all of them.

Here's the link bro, http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/orig-development/kernel-ak-t2832168 not sure what the one you gave me was for. Anyway, I recommend you start fresh by doing a wipe and flashing the stock rom. After that, you just flash the AK kernel zip, make sure it's the one for CM11S, flash the UKM zip, your super su zip, and reboot and install the Synapse app from the play store app. I'm glad to help.

I have questions before I wipe and flash the rom.
Whenever OnePlus releases an update will the AK kernel still be compatible?

Indeed it is better... ive used setCPU for since i first starting modding, and recently a friend turned me onto SystemTunerPRO & i gotta say its a million times better!
OC's ALWAYS stay, never gets killed by the system, UV's correctly, and has awesome organization!
Has the ability to controll what apps launch on boot, control memory usage, edit the MinFree settings, adjust the task-killer, just wow... yeah too much to say.
I suggest this WAY OVER setCPU... you should check it out...
https://market.android.com/details?...ult#?t=W251bGwsMSwyLDEsImNjYzcxLnBtdy5wcm8iXQ..
(if you dont want to pay the measly $5... Google for it)
-or if you use something better... tell us about it.
Imho, if you like the app and use it, you should just pay for it. The author has put time and effort into the product that has benefited you. The money he gets may inspire him to make more or better products.
Bought this immediately.
It trumps; Taskiller, SetCPU, Startup Auditor & Titanium Backup. I've uninstalled all off those.
It's an all-in-one interface with very simple and direct options. Not recommended for Android newbs. This can and will brick your **** if you don't know what you're doing. I love it. Excellent app.

1. task killers kill your battery, not your tasks
- by killing tasks, you are forcing android to kill then reload applications that would normally save more battery by being left in system memory (this removes the need to reload data)
2. what about system tuner pro makes it better than TiBU??

3. yes. VC is by far the easiest to use and if you use it correctly(usually by itself), you will have no problems
4. system tuner is a heavy user of system resource...the ONLY feature i've found that it has that others dont (at least i havent found a replacement yet) is its ability to display current CPU frequency...i used system tuner pro alot when i was undervolting my cpu and stress testing so i could see how hard the phone was working
The *Nix philosophy: Do one thing and do it well. I used System Tuner and found it's interface to be awful/ugly, and didn't really fulfill any need that a more focused app didn't. System Tuner really can't do all the things TiBu can, and voltage settings should never be "killed" by your phone since they're written to file.
I still prefer SetCPU. I like an app to be organized and the one you recommend is not. It's messy and sloppy.
There is NO backup app that comes close to being as perfect and bad ass as Titanium Backup.
Can't get STP to save on reboot completed
Hope this thread still attracts some attention, so I don't have to clutter up threads with a new on on same program
Using Bricked V5 kernel and Insert Coin Sense 4 Beta 12 ROM
Both STP and Antutus' CPU Master do not save selected settings (max / min speed, voltages etc) over reboots, although this is selected (on STP have "on boot completed" selected, and on CPU Master it's a tickbox as with SetCPU)
Only SetCPU saves my preferences over reboot.
Can anyone tell me how to overcome this. In particular I want STP to work over restarts, so I can tweak voltages as well as clock speeds
Edit: Oh dang I found this thread searching for STP, and overlooked it is a Samsung thread,. Doh!. Will repost in Sensation forum

TB dev started developping this app when Android started existing and receives a lot of support from Google. Yes it's far more advanced: the only feature that STP doesn't have (yet ) is the multi-version backups.
Messy and sloppy... Maybe, a matter of opinion and taste. No question on that.

Interesting... Have you contacted the devs of those apps to see if they can help? When you tested these, did you kept all 3 apps installed and configured?
I believe everyone is entitled to have preference, but know one thing for all 3 devs it's the same complexity: every kernel, every phone behaves differently. Not to mention ROMs or even possible user errors.
And as you have a Sensation, STP was partly developped on this device, and this device requires a specific work-around to be able to read and write CPU settings!
If you do want STP to work and are willing to spend a little time investigating, contact the dev I know him and he will do everything to help (I know cause it's me).

2 philosophy: some users prefers all in one apps, some prefers app that focus on one thing.
My 2 cents: the more apps, the more consumption you get. The worth example is apps reading battery data... If you have one that reads it ok, if you have 5 apps: 5 times the consumption.
Noted a user saying a task killer is bad: if you know how to configure it it's much better than the Android integrated one which will kill widget apps at will and blindly or even apps you use frequently but will always leave Google's app running even you never use them!
And STP can configure its own task-killer and the OOM Android integrated one.
STP is less than one year old, and is only my second app in Java and on Android. Still a lot to add to it, and still some imperfections, but working on it.
Now I fully understand all opinions expressed here. They are very reasonable too.
Let's meet in a year from now and see if I can change your opinion on this.

I have grown to like all in one apps, such as this (system tuner) there is another that I'd like to point out called ROM toolbox, I use it for everything, back up apps, root browser, ad manager, boot animation installer, voltage controller, mem controller, ect. It's nearly got a function for everything, and I think people should take a look at it, it's nice, and all my stuff would be lost without it

Looking for tweaks for system tuner pro.
I'm using system tuner pro on my Galaxy Tab 10.1 and really enjoy it so far. I also use Titanium Backup and SetCPU which both do exactly what I need them to. I use stp mainly for the ability to monitor my cpu, memory, ect. I am looking for tweaks to set to get my tablet running even smoother. Right now I'm running stock HC 3.2 ROM with pershoot's kernel oc to 1.4ghz. What can I do in stp to optimize my settings further? Changes to governor, on demand? SD cache size and IO scheduler? That type of thing. I would appreciate any helpful tips especially since the developer has been on this thread and seems to be very helpful. Thanks.

Thanks was looking for a site to learn more about this app! I am a new user to the andriod platform and find this app a great resource. Thanks for the great app and keep up the great work. :good:
Cheers
p.s. I have the Pro version
Great App thankyou .
I'm new-ish to using this as my main control app, although I bought it over a year ago,but unless your almost Of dev standard it can get a bit confusing, it's looking and is easier to use now smart phone screens are alot bigger.
I do still use T.B for certain things it is already setup with old backups and cloud feature use,I realize this app can do most but I've always used T.B.
Anyway my question probably easy but I'm using a dual core cpu but can't find how to change cpu1, I can change cpu 0 and see the frequecies for both but only the sliders for cpu0!
I've just thought my phone is rooted but locked bootloader so maybe because I'm using stock kernel maybe it's only letting me change 1cpu?
Its not even showing sliders for 2nd cpu though . e
Any help appreciated.
I'll probably need more help but I want to get this sorted 1st .
Since I stopped using multi task killers ,auto memory killer pro,cpu control (set cpu ) n so on, now using System Tuner Pro, Juice Defender Plus and Tit Backup Pro that's all I'm able to find then address issues so much easier.
Also Dev is very helpful ,I left Comment on play review and was emailed within a day ,so thanks A1 customer service .Thank dev and any one who can help me.
thank you for your mind bendingly difficult work on this app!

The default is what's been configured on the Kernel installed, either by manufacturer or dev on XDA. The recommended is actually some settings that have "proven" to work on most devices. Make sure to have a NANDROID backup or a way to recover in case it doesn't work for you. Once applied you can review the changes (they appear in blue) and reset them as you wish. It also resets completely on reboot to be safe, until you press the 'on boot' button to restore them on each reboot.
PS: If you like System Tuner, you might love Android Tuner, the merging of System Tuner and Battery Monitor Widget. If so there's a special offer/discount for existing users.
In the market? Or can I purchase direct from your site (preferred).
What is the function of the I/O scheduler and the difference between noop/deadline/cfq?
BTW, I don't just like STP I love it! I'm constantly fiddling with it. Seems like a very complicated project. I will get the other after I submit this post and check it out. Thanks bro!

Most of my apps can only be purchased on Play Market for now. Android Tuner is available on SlideME now, which offers various payment methods (PayPal, Amazon, etc).
I used to sell on AndroidPIT, but they are very bad for business so I stopped, and I would strongly recommend not to purchase with them, only means troubles. SlideME offers guarantees like on PlayStore, which AP doesn't.
That said, I might publish my other apps on SlideME if it turns out well.
As for IO scheduler, it's the way the kernel will organize (schedule) IO operations on SD cards, noop, deadline and cfq are the most frequently available and used. deadline is said to be the most effective in a multi-tasking environment, whereas noop might create lags in some circumstances. Opinion and experiences differ largely, so might be best to test them.
PS: I would be happy to sell direct, but that requires an infrastructure I don't have. Relying on PlayStore or other distributor makes it easy to publish and also distributes updates.
Thank you sir, the only reason I was wondering about an alternative place of purchase is because, well long story short, my buddy shared a launcher apk with me and the play store got into my phone and froze not only the app, but my whole phone. After reboot all was fine minus the app. I guess it seemed kind of like a search and siezure with out a warrant. I felt a bit slighted and thought I would run an experiment and see if I can produce a comparable experience with all my various types of tech mediums without a single shred of google interface of any kind....I have to admit, it is not easy, they have really intertwined themselves with eanything. No, I'm not paranoid, just trying something new.
BTW, GOOD FN JOB WITH AT!!! Quite an amazing job you have done, any others besides the two? You ought somehow do a game of sorts, like an android app building or developer challenge/puzzle type thing with the purpose of training greenhorns interested in learning and honing veteran skills as well. Sorry for the spam, again thanks, and nice work.

Best Root Applications for YOUR Rooted Android
This is going to be a LIST soon. So you can browse to a ton of root applications and find what you really need.
Please help me with this by commenting an unmentioned root application.
Please note that the following applications are NOT IN ORDER
1. Greenify - Sometimes your android battery really drains without knowing the reason. If you have experienced leaving your android on a 77% battery in the evening and in the next morning you'll find it on 42% or something like that. Well say no more, because this app can save your battery life by hibernating those battery draining applications with one simple click, or you can just put the app into Auto-Hibernation mode. All you have to do is to register the application that is draining your battery life and you'll see Greenify do its magic.
2. Titanium Backup - The free version has all of your basic needs when it comes to backing up, with the PRO version of this you can unlock a lot of extra feature. Other than that this application really does the trick when you want to back up your applications, might be the best backup app in the Play Store.
3. Xposed - Hate flashing ROMs? Want extra features on your android? Got KitKat only but want to have Android M and N features? Then this is for you mate! I mean you don't want to feel outdated right? You can browse inside it and find modules the suites your wants, from customizing your androids looks, getting extra tweaks and more. Has tons of them and i ain't joking.
4. Flashify - FLASH EM ALL! If you always tend to flash zip files, boot images or if you even want to flash TWRP or CWM recovery then look no further The FLASHify is here. uhh.. get it? no? k then
5. Boot Animations - Gotten tired of the boot animation of yours? Yes i know that you have been seeing that for years, if you want to make that animation of yours cool then download this app, it has tons of animations inside, feel free to browse em, although you ought to be careful when your about to change your animation as you might get stuck in a bootloop.
6. GL Tools - Anyone have a low end device? Need to play a High Spec Game? Then try this app. The magic it does is to simply render the game as low as possible in order to make it run faster. You can also fake your device into Tegra or something like those in order to play the games smoothly. Some people saw the changes on their game that it became faster, while some did not experienced any changes. I myself am using this and i can really tell that it does have difference than running the game without GL Tools.
7. Roehsoft RAM Expander - Gonna ask again anyone still have a low end device? Fret not my friend, this app is for you. If you happen to have a Class 4 SD Card or above then try this app. It creates a Virtual Memory that will run when the internal RAM needs to "take the load off". You'll see the difference i tell you than without this app but only if that SD card of yours is Class 4 or above or otherwise, no effect at all.
8. Busy Box - EVERY ROOTED APPLICATION NEEDS THIS AND THATS THAT.
9. Root Browser - It ain't the browser you think. Its a File browser. This app can go deep into the system whether your a developer yourself and you want to get some extra tweaks or that root of yours got into some problem. You can use this app to also edit them or put something new into the android system however you also need to have an experience at this or simply that you must know what you're doing.
10. Set CPU - Its back! Yes the developer came back (Same goes for me. Sorry for the hiatus of the thread ) Anyways SetCPU is a tool for changing the CPU frequency to the way you like. It can improve your performance, battery or you can improve both of them. I personally used this app way back and yes it really does save battery and it increases the android performance by using some set profiles.
11. Kernel Adiutor - Has some features like Set CPU but this app is packed with more. Most of the feature has of course, have something to do with the android kernel. It also has some extra features like the init. d editor (good for tweaking )
12. Amplify - MORE BATTERY LIFE! Yes you heard that right, this app blocks unnecessary wakelocks which is the culprit in draining that battery of yours. Well worry no more, just install the app and it will do the rest. Buying the other version has some extra features in which you can edit certain numbers.
13. Viper4Android - What this app does is to basically improve the sound output of the android device to make it more seemingly pleasant to your liking. Has tons of options. Check it out
14. System App Remover - App name says it all
15. Super SU - Do i really have to put the description?
Smashing that "Thanks" Button is fine
Some additional hints:
dev.wes07 said:
Rom manager --> Try Flashify instead as is provides more usefull recovery features
ROEHSOFT RAM-EXPANDER (SWAP) - really?! Costs much, may boost performance slightly. Every custom kernel will do better for free.
Root Browser (File Manager) - Use Total Commander instead
GLTools [root] (gfx optimizer) - Does not support most of the android devices
System App Remover - Titanium Backup has this feature already included
P.S. Post other rooted apps if I missed an important one.

*I'm sorry in advance if it breaks any rules by posting the apps full name, this is not an attempt to advertise them at all. If this is the case inform me and ill change the thread name.*
So i used this app on my G2, and when rooted, i was able to turn off auto-start for almost any app or process that appeared after hitting optimize. All the apps it wanted to close would appear, i could click on them, click more info, and turn off auto-start, and like magic they wouldn't auto start again! (or they wouldn't appear in this app or clean master unless started manually somehow)
However now with the G3 this functionality is lost and id really like it back, as every time i optimize over 20 issues are reported and most of them are system processes. Has anyone run into this issue and found a work around for themselves, or is there an alternative method i can take advantage of that I'm not aware of. Any help is greatly appreciated, Please let me know if you need any details or additional info from me.
Thanks everyone!

Well ill just say, on he G2 Battery Doctor was dope! Having the ability to truly stop apps and process from auto starting saved so much battery, It would often die after 2-3 days of normal usage.
I have tried Greenify but my problem with it is that it only works on apps that I've downloaded, it doesn't target system apps/process's which is really my goal.
Are you aware of anything for the G3 that allows for this?
Install xposed now greenify let's u do system apps u must buy the paid version

Well that's slightly helpful, so your saying is that if I get xposed and buy a paid version of greenify, then I can accomplish what I'm looking for?
Because I'm on lollipop and I've tried, I can't lose Smartcover or weather :/
I tried to revert back to kit Kat quickly and it didn't work, but if I did get it to work would it work just as good as it did on my g2?

Hey guys
i need some tips or feedbacks. So ive been with the Galaxy since the S3, and each one ends up becoming the same. They are great when i first get them, then within the first 2 months, they pretty much turn into crap. The UI isnt smooth, things take a while to open, apps dont transition to another smoothly, opening texts,, going back and forth between texts and apps arent the best and i constantly get problems to the point i need to do a warranty exchange with tmobile.
Do you guys experience the same or are you phones super fast and fluid? Even with a rooted phone i experience the same. Whenever i test out my friends iphone, everything seems to be super quick and fluid, just not customizable and limited to what you can do
What can i do to improve my phone or this is just how these galaxies are?
Thanks!
Hiya
I find it's good to reboot every so often, and I also use the built in Smart Manager to Clean All, and I don't experience any lag.
I do run my phone pretty clean though and don't have a million useless Apps which does tend to slow it down.
Reboot and use the smart manager from time to time and you should be good to go. I also find that using Package Disabler, Nova Launcher and Anti virus Apps SLOW DOWN my phone and make it buggy and laggy.
I have now wiped it and left it fully stock and it multi tasks properly and is super quick.

Thanks for your response. i already do all that. I use clean master everyday to clear my phone of cache and boost it so all background running apps are closed. when rooted, i deleted all useless apps and bloatware. i do restart my phone but still, i face these problems. its just frustrating when using an iphone because everything is so fast! i just want to fix up my android to be the same but it always turns to ****. im now facing a problem where outgoing texts stays stuck on sending and doesnt go through so now i have to use a third party messaging app.

Seriously, cleanmaster?? Delete immediately! If you're rooted, why don't you freeze the bloats? Use amplify and greenify combo! Can't believe a rooted user uses cleanmaster
Clearing cache every time is not good and results in stutters as cache is meant to make loading times faster and usually only cleaned if there are signs of corruption!

lol i didnt know about that for cleanmaster, im new to the whole rooting thing so i didnt know. i already freeze the bloats using titanium backup. also, i had to update my phone because my call quality was all messed up. i updated my phone to baseband version DOJC. upon doing that, my phone is no longer rooted. where are the best places to go to download new files in order to root my phone again. i dont want to use my old files and risk messing up my phone.
Thanks

So if you're no longer rooted, you can't use titanium backup. No need to root the S6 as you won't be able to update and rooting without using custom roms isn't that great.
Use package disabler pro! It's enough. Put apps to always optimize in battery settings. Use a custom launcher like Apex or Nova. Update everything. Clear cache in storage menu and reboot. You should be good.
Try leaving at least 1GB out of your internal memory free, although its impact is not proved!

no, i meant i used titanium backup when i was rooted. im no longer rooted because i had to update my phone in order to fix some problems i was having. When i was rooted, i used a custom rom, twisted sixx version 3. i want to reroot my phone again, but i want to know if i need to download new files again to root if what i used last time is ok. last time i rooted was in septempber so my files are from that time frame. If not ok, where can i go to get the new files i need to root again? also with your phone, is everything usually fast and fluid or do you come across the problems i mention earlier as well?
thanks

Sorry can't help with newer root methods!
I'm completely stock and using package disabler pro and app optimizer. It's not buttery smooth like a Nexus or Motorola, but it still is a fast experience, i.e, rarely any scrolling stutters. Try putting animations to 0.5x or 0/off.

Np! Try defrosting some packages that as per your guess might be linked to the sms system.
Try sending through a 3rd party app like Google messaging app on play store and see if it works.

Or he could use Kernel Adiutor and set Androids build in kill scheduler to free ram
Sent from my LG-LS740 using XDA Free mobile app
My little tips :
First. Speed up your android device by *not* installing any speed booster app.
2. Android is smart enough to force close background services when more ram is needed. And restart them when ram hungry process (e.g heavy game) ends. Do some research, it's a very very bad idea to manually kill background apps and services. Doing so will just decrease both your performance and battery.
3.Stock Samsung provided applications gives better performance and battery life. They also use ram more efficiently. try using stock launcher, stock keyboard, stock E-mail app, etc.
Also every other launcher that uses vertical scrolling will have lags. (Apex,Action,Nova and even Google Now Launcher)
4. Manually clearing cache is also bad idea. Imagine you put your charger on your desk to quickly access it when needed (cache), then someone puts it back to drawer every time :| (Clearing catche)

Thanks for the tips. i already use stock email, stock interenet stock everything. My battery dies extremely quick with minimal use, as oppose to when i had it rooted, which was significantly better. with minimal use today, its been off the charger for 5 hours and im already at 50%. i also dont force close. i just click that menu button and press close all when nothings being used, or are you saying thats not good to do?
i have mine for 10 months, and i don't regret it at all, i had a galaxy S2 and S4 before and i always said i won't get another samsung because of the lag, but this time i made the right choice...the phone flies through everything, loading apps takes no time, opening apps really fast, the truth is this is the first galaxy that didn't lag after a couple of months, at least not for me, there are sometimes some frame drops, but in general it's really fast, i use stock apps, i restart my phone about every week, the battery isn't that good, 3-4 SOT...so not bad but not that good, because this is a phone you wanna keep using all the time and then suddenly the battery die.....the truth is if i had the money now i would get the NOTE5/ S6 EDGE PLUS...because of the battery and big screen, other than that it's perfect....best screen, camera, the new TW is really good....

OR U CAN USE OZONE SUBTRATUM THEMES WHICH COMES WITH XXX NO LIMITS ROM
>Install theme via subtratum and subtratum app is already available in no limits ROM.
4)ENABLE DOZE MODE FOR GOOGLE PLAY SERVICE :
First u have to check weather u r play services is using doze mode or not
Go to settings >battery> search for play services>see at bottom if its showing using battery optimization then. No need to follow this step
Other wise use this magisk module
Download:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1TUkuYZB8XOahwJI4SAeqqhVCS46tjiQe/view?usp=drivesdk
Download module>go to magisk app> go to modules in left tab> click + icon at bottom then select file u have downloaded
It will get flashed automatically in magisk app then reboot.

> WIFI:
Go to settings > wifi> wifi preferences>advanced>Disable always on wifi scanning and disable keep wifi on during sleep
> Disable all vibrations
>Disable autobrrightness mode.
>disable sceen auto rotate mode from Settings
>Disable ambient display
Thats it after all u will get all U r performance without compromising U r battery and notifications.
I will post results with screenshot sooon.....
what repercussions could it have to doze play services? missing notifications or anything?

Yes. You'll have to open each app to start the sync.
Only reason why I haven't kicked play sevices from my device. Some apps even use their own notification system but many rely on these services and that is a PIA.
Thanks but might as well put the phone in the drawer and don't use it.

I'm not sure about this setup. Way to many compromises.
From my experience when you get strong cellular signal and will remove all unnecessary activities, it enough to increase battery performance.
I'm getting better battery then the OP showed in photos. I only turn off all the Google account syncing and just sync contacts and calendar when I make changes. Restrict background data on apps that don't need it. I allow messaging apps, email and anything I need the download in the background like my browser. I'm getting 9 hours sot with 40 hours off charge with combined drain of 1.9%-3.4%. and I'm not neutering my phone like that.

From my experience when you get strong cellular signal and will remove all unnecessary activities, it enough to increase battery performance.

Yeah good point here my result with a good signal and actually no tweak just flashed elementalx kernel or flash kernel ...
Edit : I actually did only the stune tweak !

In 8 hr of SOT i continously used my phone mainly i edited my youtube video for complete 2hr using KINEMASTER this apps is major battery sucking app. I made the video uploaded to youtube, used wifi whole the day, using two whatsapp parellel apps syncronizing for each and every second as lots of messages. I never restricting baground process for any app, and not disabling sync of google account. Used camera lots a time, etc
I just installed the ROM and and kerbel from thread and blacked out my theme nothing else, extra tweaks given for major impact.
So its the matter of use what u r using and how u using , if u uses phone mainly for Gaming and heavy tasks then no tweak can work then how can u say u r better.

Your right, it is how you use your phone, but if I use my phone continuously, I have gotten over 13 hours. And WiFi is cheating on battery as it consumes less battery then LTE data signal, I'm never on WiFi... 100% always on data. I usually have 2+ hours of calls, YouTube throughout the day, Whatsapp with Photos and voice along with video, 30-50 emails a day with replies about 2 hours of web surfing. This is a typical day of work as 80% of that is for work. So not a gamer but I am a pretty heavy user throughout the day.
And you talk about Extreme Battery Tweaks and you don't do the simplest things like restrict background data on apps that have no need or business constantly syncing with nothing to sync? Seems odd.
Again based on your photo of usage... that shows significantly less use then what I do and still get more battery without Neutering my phone. You have nothing but your screen on, it's all phone idle and Android OS and Android system and cell standby all higher then any app or anything else. If mine looked like that I'd have 12 hours sot or more.
Oh and this was a light day as I was already heading home at 1:30pm today. I was more showing you my averages.

Thanks but might as well put the phone in the drawer and don't use it.

This is truly true. I also found out, that it makes a difference between watching a black screen and performing heavy tasks. Until now I was not totally sure, but you convinced me in this point. Thanks a lot.
Also thank you for your valuable contribution to this forum. I refer to #1:
Since you obviously know a lot about different tweaks of different roms and how they exactly work, could you perhaps elaborate on that? I would like to know how exactly the battery saving tweaks work, especially when compared to them of other roms. Also, how exactly the franco kernel performs so battery friendly compared to other kernels. For example, which settings do you apply (except “powersaving-mode”) and which tweaks of this kernel are responsible for this behavior compared to other kernels. Furthermore, why a franken-, flash- or other kernel are not battery-saving to the same extent.
As far as I understand, the combination xXx No Limits and Franco is the only correct one, if I understood #1 correctly (concerning battery life of course). This suggests that you also know other combinations. Please substantiate your claim and go deeper in your explanations to understand your modest determination correctly, as you really seem to know much about this topic.
Thank you again for sharing your expertise with us.
hi, I have rooted my oneplus 6 running on OOS 5.1.9. I have flashed the franco kernel. After installing the franco kernel updater its showing that my device is not supported. Also it doesnt show any performance profile in the menu. Cant you please help me in this regard? here are the screenshots:

is there a way to restrict bg data on apps in a group? instead of doing it manually?

Not that I've ever seen or heard of. It only takes about 5 in to go through them and set it up.
Guys i switched to liquid remix rom and its insanely battery friendly rom, give that rom a try along with tweaks.
Definitely mind blowing
I did not use any of this and I still can get 6.5hrs of SOT, without compromising anything,(not even using black theme).
