i purchased this last week while i was in hk. they delivered in a couple of days. build quality and fit is excellent. you can leave it on the phone and charge the battery, the phone will charge first, then the battery.
today i did a quick test - overnight i let my battery run down to about 15%. i then used the mugen to charge it while i was out and about. after 6 hours or so of reasonably constant use - music, email, whatsapp, internet, twitter, a couple of calls, the battery was back up to 55% or so before the mugen ran out of juice.
not bad.
I have the Brando power case. It's a bit cheaper, but the cut-out for the camera is smaller, which causes some flash bleed in low-light shots. Could you take a couple of shots with your setup, with and without the case and see if you have the same problem?
sorry for the slow response. i am pretty happy with the case and i did notice a little bleed with the flash, not a huge difference, but noticeable. until you asked me this, i never noticed because i rarely use the flash myself due to the quality of the camera

Thought I would create this to see if you're happy with the battery life on your Vox and post some tips about charging and discharging for better life.
I am generally dis-satisfied with battery life on the Vox however I keep a fully charged battery in my Jeep, one in my wallet and one in my Vox to always stay connected. I switch to my 2250mAh when I know I'm doing to be using WiFi a lot.
Anyways, here is what I have found;
If you reboot your phone while charging, it will jump to a higher charged state and not properly store the charge. To combat this, I have placed a strip of electrical tape over the 2nd connector to the left on the battery which stops the battery from reporting the proper charge level. I run it down and place it on my external charger. Charges last a lot longer after I do this.
Any tips for how you use your Vox to maximize battery life?
I am happy, because I usually get through one day without any problems and then I am plugging it in over night anyway! I'd love a battery with higher capacity, but I hate those extended covers!
I'm happy with the battery life.
I find it lasts longer if I use the phone until the battery is pretty much dead and then charged until full again.
I usually get 3-4 days out of it that way.

I am not happy at all. 3-4 days ? I bought vox few days back and I get 2 days max, with most of time on standby.
Okay so I received my 2250mAh battery cover, finally. However when using the battery, my device shuts off randomly, this only happens with the extended battery. It also seems the contact sheets are deeper and the pins have a hard time reaching them. If I slide the Vox shut hard, it will also reboot.
Any idea's?
The battery life is fine as long as you don't OC it. I manage to get 3 days with normal use.
With the CPU up to 240Mhz, it barely lasts a day. So i rather use the original 6.0 rom without OC and its still fast. WM6.1 is to slow without OC'ing for me.
So after 6 months of use i finaly found my settings wich i like. And makes the battery life OK for me

I got this too when I just received the battery, but after something like 2 weeks these problems disappeared
I'm happy with battery life...
I get up to 2 days with heavy voice, email, and text -- some bluetooth, very little WiFi or Internet. Personally, I've never had a problem with a phone as long as I get a full day and can charge at night. Even if I got 6 days on a battery, I don't want to have to remember to plug my phone in at some point during the day when the battery is about to go. Much easier to plug in every night.
Battery life is exceptional!
I was having problems with my original battery; the phone would simply power down even though it showed that it was charged; and did not have long battery life.
I bought a new battery now I get 3 even 4 days of use with some Bluetooth and WiFi use (not much though). The new battery also seems to have solved my power down problem; had it for 4 weeks, not one power down. I am using the LeFab VoxRomWM6.1XIP20202_v1.0. Quite fast on it's own; I do not over clock.
I purchased a new 2250mAh extended battery recently from megacapacity.com.
In a full charge it gives me 18-20 hours backup with 1 hr talk time only. I don't even use Wi-Fi, GPRS. Just simple calls.
Is it normal? i dont think. Original battery 1050mAh gave better performance when it was in good condition. What could be the issue?
I have tried almost every ROM but its almost same in every case.
Anybody having 2250mAh battery? pl share your thoughts.
Is there some problem with device not charging optimally or battery is bad?
2250
I have a 2250 battery purchased from megacapacity itself. The first charge lasted for 50 hours. The battery at the time of recharge was around 20% but I recharged again. I am sure it would have gone for another 10 hours at least.
This is with moderate calls, browsing, solitaire, always on Microsoft Push mail and lot of email reading and writing. I was basically testing the battery backup; so kind of stressed my phone a bit to see the actual backup time available.
On a related note, I was definitely not happy with megacapacity as they didn't send me the correct battery cover for vox and never responded to any of my emails. So now my phone is without battery cover. And I am planning to buy one more normal sized battery because of this. Thanks to megacapacity.
Sankar
PS: - I am using fireburned 6.1 stable rom 1.4.
I am pretty happy with Polar CEll 1300 mAh battery. It gets me through the day with heavy use! It dies when I am IMing over Wifi for a couple of hours in the evening.
Is it device charging issue?
My device was also working good with original battery. I used it for approx 18 months. After that (couple of months back) it started giving problem shutting down device suddenly while in the call. Its calibration was totally disturbed, i happend due to high temperatures some time when in car, i think so.
In nutshell that battery was of no use to be thrown out. Then,
I bought 2250 mAh but its not giving expected performance, its lasts for max one day with normal use.
Could it be due to issues with device charging circuit? It gets charged fully in one hour. i suspect there might be some issue with device circuit.
or finally battery is not good?
Pl advise.

parthabhatta & h4waii,
You both have good experince with VOX battery, pl share your thoughts on this.
Hi,
Actually I use a battery bought from megacapacity but its 1100mAh. The battery is not giving me any problems and after a few calls, roughly one hour surfing and some music playing 20-30% battery is still left. So what I feel is being 2250mAh it should last atleast 80% more than 1100 mAh if not double. You can check the Power management battery bar while charging - whether it shoots up occassionally at random or gradually increases with increments of 1% till it attains 100%. If it shoots up, try with USB charging and see if the problem recurs. Give it a try and let us know.
Just be careful of using BIG battery.

Thats a good idea, sure i will check and let you know.
I charged my 2250mAH in an external charger, which removes any possibility of the device shutting off charge after it reaches a certain voltage. It allows the battery to make that choice. I had good use with it, very heavy usage and it would last drastically longer than the OEM 1100mAH unit. I'd recommend just buying a 1300mAH as the 2250 is very cumbersome to carry around on the device.
Again, I still have mine - if anybody wants to buy them.
There are a few issues with keeping the sheet in contact with the pins, else it will shut off randomly, I padded it with paper and pulled the pins out a bit.
i got mine a year ago from ebaystore dmc-batteries.
first i also got the wrong backcover, but they sent me very fast the correct one.
The battery is definitely not twice as strong as the original one.
At normal use I think the max is 1,5 day. Light use gives me 2 days but heavy use with bluetooth or wifi or gprs only 1 day.
as h4waii I had in the beginning some problems with the contacts and sudden loss of power because of that, but that disappeared with time
Still I can't make a point...I'cant determine were is good to buy (obviously referring xda user's opinion to how much the battery lasts) and where is better not to buy. LoL

dmc-batteries gave me good service and are quick and friendy in their replies. I recommend them.
Thank you birdibird , but my intention was a survey to know what brand (seller) of ezxtended battery lasts more than an other. Just that
Because I've read of battery lasting 4-5 days with normal usage and others not lasting more than 1!
First off, I used the phone naked since release. No case, or screen protector. Battery life was decent, but would quickly deplenish over the day with games and bad service.
Anyways, the package is great. Comes packaged similar to how the phone did. Installation was simple, pop the battery in, case fits snug over the phone.
Now, the phone is gigantic. But I knew that before buying it. It's thicker than expected. Also, much heavier. I feel like a blow to the head with this sucker and it's game over for who ever it hits.
On to battery life. My first initial reaction was, why is it draining quickly? I restarted my phone, and gained 5%. It never happened again though. After 1 full charge, I'll upload the results. Also, I was using the best performance profile for KTweaker the entire time.
Sent from my SM-G900T using XDA Free mobile app
How much percentage did you have left? Are you a heavy user? I use the stock battery and still have 11% of battery left after 14 hours of heavy use.
My stock battery lasts 8 hours with a strong wifi signal and constant use. With this battery, wifi, and a crappy signal it's down to 82% after 12 hours
I've been happy with the stock battery, but having an 82% battery after 12 hours is really tempting.
YouTube Video Review:

I use my Samsung Galaxy Note 9 for work, play, and family. I'm told that I am a power user, especially since I'm lucky if I can get more than 10-14 hours out of the battery before I have to charge it. Even With my Note 8, I was lucky to get 8-10 hours. While the Note 9 has a 4,000 mAh battery (the main reason I got this phone), I still need to carry an external battery pack and USB cable if I am out and about and taking pictures and video. I wanted another option and found this battery case. Having the battery built into the case so I don't have to carry an extra battery pack and USB cable makes this worth it. The blue color looks great, and the case fits my phone like a glove. The texture on the back is just smooth enough to feel nice without making me feel like the phone will slip out of my hand. The buttons still work as designed (in some cases interfere with this) and the case still works excellent when removing or inserting the S-Pen. I especially like that with the case on, if I plug the case it, the case and phone are both charging.
Battery
Now for the battery part. I noticed when I turn on the battery pack, my phone says fast charging, but then after a few minutes says cable charging, which makes sense as this is only a 1.5A charging output spec. To test the case, I unplugged my phone at 6 am on Sep 8th and used it as normal all day without ever charging it. By 8 pm, my phone was down to 25%. Most of the time my phone would be dead at this point, but I guess that I did not use it as much since I was off work and getting fewer emails. I powered on the case (which I fully charged beforehand) and set my phone down. I did not touch my phone at all while it was charging from the case. Not wanting to leave it charging overnight as the battery was getting rather warm, I turned off the battery case at 9:30 pm, my phone was at 55%, but I also noticed the battery pack was already down to 2 LED lights (50%?!?!); based on that, I should have only used about 1,500-2,000 mAh of juice. Even if the battery case was down to 50% (2,500 mAh), that should be enough to fully charge my phone when I get up, so I powered the phone off.
When I got up at 4 am, my phone was still at 55% and the battery pack at 50%, so I turned the battery pack back on. Unfortunately, the battery pack only charged my phone to 82% before the battery pack died. While I do not have the ability to test the mAh capacity, based on the math above, it does not seem to be a 5,000 mAh battery as that should have been enough juice to fully charge my phone and have a tiny bit left over; not run out at 82%. I have read online that you need to duty-cycle the battery in the case; let it die fully and then fully charge it so it can calibrate to a full charge.
After fully charging the case (after letting it fully die), I am pleased to report that this will fully charge a dead Note 9, so it is at least 4,000 mAh.
I left my Note 9 off the charger all day yesterday and last night; at 7:01 am, I got the "Battery at 15%" warning, so I turned on Power Saving Mode with background data turned off, and the screen to only 25% brightness. I shut off GPS, Wifi, and Bluetooth and then put the phone into the case and turned it on. Around 9:45am-ish, my phone buzzed and was at 100% with 1 LED left on the case. I estimate this is about 3,000-3,300 mAh worth of juice. By noon, I was back down to 75%, turned on the case and it too me back to 95% before the case died. Based on that, this is close to a 5,000 mAh case if my math is correct. The full duty-cycle was needed and made a large difference in the charge available for my phone.
Things to be aware of:
The battery may not be a true 5,000 mAh, but it's still worth the price and convenience.
If you have small hands, the fingerprint scanner will be hard to use.
There is no data pass-through, but that is advertised.
The phone may say it's fast charging, but I doubt it.
This thing is thick, like 3/4" thick, but not too thick.
Pros:
Great fit
Does not add that much weight
Build quality feels solid
Color is beautiful
Does not interfere with the holes or S-Pen
Charges quickly
Charges phone and case at the same time
Buttons work great, better than others cases I've used
Raised edge and top and bottom, so the screen does not touch table when placed face down
Cons:
Does not seem to be a true 5,000 mAh battery
Thickness (about 3/4" thick), not really a con as this should be expected
No data pass-through
May be difficult to use the fingerprint scanner for smaller hands
Conclusion: I like this, and it is very worth it. I highly recommended this for the Samsung Galaxy Note 9.

There will be some loss charging from a battery but if it is rated 5000 I think you should get full charge from it.

That was one point I thought about but was not sure. After a few discharges and charges of the case, it will fully charge the phone with a tiny bit of juice life over.
I bought my Pixel 5 in March 2021. I've kept it on a charger almost constantly, I generally listen to podcasts while I work, and use it for navigation + music in the car. Lately the battery life got pretty terrible, down to the point where a full charge in the morning would barely last me until lunch if I didn't use a charger. The battery pack had swollen some too, I only noticed when the tech pointed it out. I had the battery replaced at Asurion/uBreakiFix for $130, they had it done in an hour, and I can't even tell the phone had been opened.
It seems pretty odd for a battery to reach end of life this quickly. The battery in my Pixel 2 seemed to have much better longevity, I had bought it in November 2017 and only bought the 5 when the battery wouldn't hold a charge anymore.
How has your battery been performing? How old is your device and what's your typical use? Have you had it replaced, and how much did it cost you? Have the replacement batteries been any better?
Not a P5, but my Onyx Poke3 ereader had the capacity of the battery drop to nothing within two years.
A (somewhat compatible) replacement battery is only available with long shipping from China.
My (interim) replacement cost me nothing.
I took an old Motorola battery and Frankensteined the raw cell from the Motorola to the BMS from the old battery.
(Don't do this unless you know what you're doing.)
