Hi friends
Received my oneplus a while back, installed crdroid instantly and since then having problems while calling someone. Other party gets very low and garbled kind of sound on their side. I havr tried different modems, tried to set mic volume up, even tried the media_profiles.xml tweak but to no avail. Quality is still bad. I am going to try different roms now but I dont have much hope as read few other users posts and as per them it didn't help.
I really hope it's not a hardware issue as I am from India and getting it replaced won't be easy for me.
Hopefully someone can help me.. Thanks.

my viper Rom keeps keeps rebooting itself at times AMD then there's a huge battery drain , especially when I'm on on demand governor ..
I even tried changing my kernel to SebastianFM but still the same problem, even with the mod for Sebastian fm..
can someone help me figure out the might be causing this? plus my battery's less awesome then 1.1 ,
so can someone help me figure out the problem?
and if any other person could help me with which kernel works best for you guys with viper 1.2.1 ?
I'd really appreciate help, thank you
Hi there, this is best posted on the viper development site. Everyone there is using the same Rom and perhaps more people even have your issue and know of a fix for it. So it is really best to post this on viper development where you can get Rom specific help. I use viper also and have not experienced you're issue. Have you considered doing a fresh download and full wipe and reinstallation of the Rom? This might help. But do post on viper site and hopefully someone knows of a fix if above doesn't solve the issue. Best wishes.

I use Faux's kernel with intelidemand governor and it's perfect (performance and battery)
I don't know aboot reboots... wait for other answers.
The kernel I use is yank version 2.5. I just downloaded it caused many viper users use it and like it. I thought I'd give it a try. So far so good.

Yank 2.52 works well for me. I had constant reboots when I was undervolted by 100, but now that I'm not undervolted at all it doesn't reboot anymore. So it may not necessarily be kernel but kernel settings that can give you bootloop.

What firmwire are you using 3.32 or is it 3.33 and also are you s off and Fyi sebastien's kernel there's two mods you need in order to get the correct settings if not thats all you will get is battery drain i've been using it for a week now and its awsome

Hey,
I've been getting bad battery life, phone takes years to charge even on any rom. I have tried changing radio/ril ,rom, firmware and everything. Changed kernel and still the same. My drain/charge on Kernel Tuner shows -510mAh. Anyone with the same issue? Is there anything i missed out?
Running on 4.3.1 Carbon Rom with Sultan Kernel AOSP r44.5. Stock battery.
Thanks in advance.

I`ve had tha same problem with my old stock battery- it just worked out. Now i`m using MugenPower battery 2200mAh and i`m happy
I'm using the faux kernel right now but haven't been real happy with the battery life. Which one is better for this between the Franco and the Bricked. Or which one does everyone prefer over the other. Thanks for any info

Hi,
NO Best ROM/Kernel threads...
You will need to test by yourself to see what is the best for YOU and also read the user feedback in each respective kernel thread...
There is already this thread: Kernel discussions...

If you cant get good battery life with faux, you wont get it with any other. clean up your rom/ apps. freeze those you don't need.
having said that, this type of comparison are not allowed on xda. Why? I have my opinion, you may have another and so on.

Hi, since I can't post in the Slimkat threat I open new one. I am very happy with Slimkat 4.4.2 except that the battery life is short. I did search but couldn't find answer to my question.
Is there a Kernel/s for Slimkat 4.4.2 build 3/4/5 that extends the battery life, and what kind of choices I have?
I will be very happy for your help.
I find the Devil kernel to work well with Slim, never having an issue with battery life.. I just recently did some testing on the build 5 and the battery life with both stock and Devil kernels was quite good (around 14-16hrs with 3+hrs of screen time)... There are few roms with this amount of battery life.. And to get a true representation of battery performance you need to have at least two full battery cycles.. There are other little tip/tricks to extend battery life a bit further, feel free to visit the link in my signature for some ideas on how your rom compares and for tips on battery life..
Hey that was quick Actually I did check out the CyanAOSP and sound interesting, but for now I will stay with Slim.
Just for information I compare the battery life with CM 4.3 and Slimrom 4.3. Using these ROMs the battery last 2 days for me. I do complete battery cycles after flash even if needed I use battery calibration app. I will check the tips from the link for sure. Just still not sure what is the appropriate Kernel/s for Slimkat 4.4.x. As far as I was reading not every kernel works on every Rom.

Need Kernel that Supports Swap
What kernel supports swap? I want to use ROEHSOFT RAM Expander v3.19.
I'm using [ROM][port][mod] CyanAOSP [kitkat 4.4.4] FAREWELL EDITION 08/03/2014
Thanks before.
Hi everybody!
At the moment I'm testing CivZ-SneakyKat-Rev1.9 kernel on my Note 3 (9005). This kernel seems to be ok, but whatever reason my N9005 freezes/reboots once a day. I haven't had this behavior with the stock kernel.
Are there any other kernels that you would advice?
Which one makes the Note 3 run as fast as possible?
Thanks for your answers!
The same happens for me You need to keep in mind, that there are not two (or more) exact copies of hardware components (processor in our case), i mean, this kernel can work fine on the developer´s mobile, but not on other. This not happens because of any damaged part or something like this. Simply nobody can give garanty that this kernel will work perfectly in any note 3.
It depend of the revision and other things. You need also know that probably you will not be able to overclock your mobile as much as the developer say (for example 2.8Ghz on CivZ kernels), even using other kernels, but this is normal.
For me the best one is leanKernel. It´s amazing.
Sorry my bad english.

Hi iz1pp0,
Thanks for your answer!
I'll try this leankernel. Do you know if this kernel is available for Stock Rom 4.4.2, ND3?
Which other kernels have you tried as well?
But before I'll try it I will be waiting to read the experiences of other users here.
Leankernel is great, try it... Battery usage is minor than other kernels

I would like to try it.
Where can I download the latest version and it is working with with my ND3 ROM?
If I interpretate it correctly on the download page of leankernel this is the correct version, korrect? lk_hlteeur-kk-v2.5.1.zip
I have in international 9005 without any branding.
Yes, hlteeur 2.5.1. Just flash the damn thing.

Ok, guys! I've flashed it...I'm very curious about it.
Which app can now be used to make kernel settings? Synapse says: Not supported!
My first impression is that this kernel seems to be a fast one!
Antutu_ 34.961
Quadrant: over 25.000
All benches were made with standard values, no oc so far.
I've have leankernel running a few days on my Note 3. It's a very stable kernel.
The only improvement I could imagine is a more comfortable tuning with an app like Synapse.

Would you like to say that 2.4 is a better version?
