Bad Battery Life - HTC Sensation

Hey,
I've been getting bad battery life, phone takes years to charge even on any rom. I have tried changing radio/ril ,rom, firmware and everything. Changed kernel and still the same. My drain/charge on Kernel Tuner shows -510mAh. Anyone with the same issue? Is there anything i missed out?
Running on 4.3.1 Carbon Rom with Sultan Kernel AOSP r44.5. Stock battery.
Thanks in advance.

Could just be a work out battery, can you try a new one? Or an anker battery?

[Q] no camera flash?

hi guys! does anyone feel irritated by the low battery thus no flash problem? or issit just me? my flash cuts off at 32% which is kinda high still.

You can prevent this happening by flashing a modified kernel like Faux's.

Hi k0zmic,
Does SebastianFM does that too?

sinkolow
Don't think so, but the Bricked kernel is a winner if you wanna go down the custom route
%
hi,
in SebastianFM Kernel the Flash is about 15%. So if this is enough for you just try it.

Bassquale
Hey guys! Thanks! The info helped alot!
Cheers,

Latest SebastianFM kernel sets min battery level for flash to 10%.
Version 1.4.1 has it, and I think it was supported since 1.4.0

[Q] Recommended kernel for aospx?

Just flashed aospx on my Inspire, and I'm looking for a reputable kernel that optimizes both performance, but especially battery life (it's been horrible since flashing).
I'm also open to any other tips anyone may have for optimizing battery life while still maintaining smartphone-like functionality (I don't want to turn sync off, etc.). I also have my brightness low to help preserve battery life.

O are you talking about existz aospX ICS rom. Im on that one and Idk man I thought about switching out the kernel but they said to leave it maybe flash a radio to help out some signal and battery life. Now some members say that battery calibration is not necessarily but I do and I use this app to do so Idk for me it seems to do great. https://play.google.com/store/apps/...xLDEsImNvbS5uZW1hLmJhdHRlcnljYWxpYnJhdGlvbiJd
But I would say make sure did a full wipe when flashing a new rom unless otherwise I always do a full wipe when I flash. And I also do a wipe battery stats when I go to a new rom.

Thats what I wanted to do cause for me I do like flashing kernels but the members on that thread said to stay with it and honestly its actually a good set up. I never stick with the kernel that comes with it and this time I am. The latest BR3 on existz rom is frosted cherry..and BR2 was doughnut.
Aospx kernel is for existz's aospx rom.
Lords kernel is for his aokp rom.
NO NEED to change kernels on existz's aosp rom.

viper 1.2.1 reboots?

my viper Rom keeps keeps rebooting itself at times AMD then there's a huge battery drain , especially when I'm on on demand governor ..
I even tried changing my kernel to SebastianFM but still the same problem, even with the mod for Sebastian fm..
can someone help me figure out the might be causing this? plus my battery's less awesome then 1.1 ,
so can someone help me figure out the problem?
and if any other person could help me with which kernel works best for you guys with viper 1.2.1 ?
I'd really appreciate help, thank you
Hi there, this is best posted on the viper development site. Everyone there is using the same Rom and perhaps more people even have your issue and know of a fix for it. So it is really best to post this on viper development where you can get Rom specific help. I use viper also and have not experienced you're issue. Have you considered doing a fresh download and full wipe and reinstallation of the Rom? This might help. But do post on viper site and hopefully someone knows of a fix if above doesn't solve the issue. Best wishes.

I use Faux's kernel with intelidemand governor and it's perfect (performance and battery)
I don't know aboot reboots... wait for other answers.
The kernel I use is yank version 2.5. I just downloaded it caused many viper users use it and like it. I thought I'd give it a try. So far so good.

Yank 2.52 works well for me. I had constant reboots when I was undervolted by 100, but now that I'm not undervolted at all it doesn't reboot anymore. So it may not necessarily be kernel but kernel settings that can give you bootloop.

What firmwire are you using 3.32 or is it 3.33 and also are you s off and Fyi sebastien's kernel there's two mods you need in order to get the correct settings if not thats all you will get is battery drain i've been using it for a week now and its awsome

[Q] LED not flashing.. Help please

Hello everybody!
Yesterday it was the first time when i flashed the rom on my Sensation.. I did everything step by step.. the Elegancia with Sense 4.1 is brilliant. Everything is lightning fast, and works with not even a single problem..
Unfortunately this morning i noticed that my battery level is low.. and the LED is permanently turned ON.
I felt like something's different, so i went to "Show me" and searched for LED. The result was:
GREEN - Battery fully charged
GREEN FLASHING - Notification
RED - Battery Charging
RED FLASHING - BATTERY LEVEL LOW..
So in my case when the battery level is low it MUST flash, instead of being turned on permanently.
Does anyone have any idea what can i do to fix this issue?
Thank you!
Might be a kernel glich, it does not sound as a rom related issue.
Which kernel did you choose?

Well im copying what's in "Software Information"
"Kernel version
3.0.16-v1.5.2
SebastianFM #1
SMP PREEMPT
Baseband version
11.76A.3504.00P_11.24A.3504.31_m
Build Number
2.31.401.5.CL90817 release-keys
Browser Version
WebKit/534.30"
If it's Kernel issue.. it will be great if you suggest a way to fix it. Thank you for the time spent answering!
Hmm... You could try reflashing Seb's kernel.
I was actually on 1.5.2 for a long time and did not observed that issue.
If that dors't work you could try another kernel, say Faux's (see my sig) to verify it is a kernel issue..
Just remember to Nandrpid before any kernel change.
Edit: also if your device is s-on, make sure to enable smart flash on 4ext prior to flashing.

[Q] Battery indicator problem

Hello !
I have a problem with my g2x : if I flash another kernel than stock with stock ROM, I get question mark in the battery indicator. I have to disable airplane mode to get the battery percentage.
I tried CM7, CM9, stock 2.3.4 with faux 14b2… The only custom kernel that works is FAUX CM7 kernel with DebauchedSloth's battery driver.
Any idea ?
Thank in advance !
I'm not certain, but have you tried mazout360's kernels? They were based on faux and maybe that would work. Its been a long time since I had this phone though... Are you running stock 2.3.4?
Sent from my Nexus 5 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
It was working on stock 2.3.4 until I flashed faux kernel but it sudently reworked after a rebot. I'm actually on mazout's cm10.1 ROM ans it is working to. I don't understand. Could it ne related to my multiples batteries ?
As far as I know for the cm10.1 they never got it working fully. I'm not sure about the multiple batteries though if it's already not working it probably doesn't help to confuse it more lol. I think at some point they had mentioned the battery indicator being tied to the ril. I don't know what one has to do with the other but if you're not using the radio at all it might also affect the battery indicator.
