[Q] Unfortunately, camera has stopped. (4.0.4 1st leak) (SOLVED but have no idea why)

Today, my A2 keeps saying this msg when I switch to video recording mode.
Before that, I have installed this: [Apps][CM10]Motorola Camera

to remove Beat audio driver
Tried:
- wiping camera data
- wiping cache and Davik cache

Do different cameras work? IE: Paper camera, retro camera?

No promises, but try these things:
delete the .nomedia file
try fixing permissions (either in Rom Manager or whatever custom recovery you currently have, assuming that has the option)
try factory resetting without the option to wipe data
delete the camera app and re-install
buy a cheap camcorder :silly:
I'll try to think of other options, but in the meantime try these and see if any clear up the issue...

Camera mode works, but when I tap the switch to change to video mode, it threw that message.

- What .nomedia files? All? I have many many in my sdcard :\
- Didn't work
- I already did that
- Didn't work

Privacy > factory reset --> not work, and some of my mods still there :\
I think I have to flash back to 2.3.5 using Jim' method, then OTA to 2.3.6 and then use stock recovery to flash ICS 1st leak, are those steps right?

Have hust formated sdcard and restored ICS 1st leak backup by Bootmenu.
And... the problem is gone

[Q] After flashed the HD5.1 I can't use the pen!! :(

i am now using N8013
i flashed the HD 5.1 room and installed the Compatibility Pack for N8013

Everything was great!!!!!
Except the pen....
No matter how hard i used it to touch the screen...
But the toolbar did come out when i detached the pen~~~
What's wrong.....Anyone can help me?? please~~~~

then i flashed other Roms, but none of them worded...
anyone can help??i even can't downgrade it now....i can't find a official system can be used....
i love the S-pen very much~~~~

i'm using twrp 2.4.4.0 recovery now, how to preload sdcard and boot to download?
i dont know how to do it because i can only find bootloader

twrp - can't install this package on top of incompatible data

i have followed all the steps using NRT to unlock boot-loader and root the phone.
Installed TWRT manager and flashed the recovery.
Now i am trying to flash CM12 for the first time and stuck with error message "can't install this package on top of incompatible data" during flashing .
downloaded the following flash zip from CM website: cm-12.1-20150901-SNAPSHOT-YOG4PAO237-hammerhead.zip (281.77 MB)
Can any one help me what needs to be done to proceed further.

I wiped everything on my phone via TWRP. Still getting this error!

This topic is old but in case someone else gets here I got a solution - Change /data partition filesystem to ext4 or other supported by ROM

This guide might help, you do it in TWRP by going to Format > Advanced > select partition > Change filesystem > Ext4

In twrp, I had to fumble around to find advance wipe to clear data but worked like charm after that.

xiaomi note 4g dior
Let me tell my story,
My friend gave me an old xiaomi note 4g which was stuck at the MI icon on boot,
Luckily the phone did not lock boot-loader
So I use xiaomi flash rom to flash global room , it worked after i tried sometimes.
Then I booted to the phone, and other problem came, the phone was linked with an Mi Account , and my friend forgot everything about it
not email, no phone number
I did a search and they said the only way to bypass the MiAccount is using a Resurrection ROM or balallala
so I ended up with using
1. fastboot to install twrp
2. open twrp --> open adb sideload mode.
3. Open window command line and install Resurrection ROM though adb sideload
While installing rom though adb slideload , i got the same issue with topic
SO i cleared data and tried again,
IT WORKED , NO MORE ****ING MiAccount

Hi
Playing with my wife's Nexus 5, bootloader unlocked, rooted, and latest TWRP installed but when trying to flash from android 6.0.1 to Lineage, I'm getting an error 7 image shown I hope.....
Is this just because I haven't wiped the data first ? (I'm fairly sure but...)
I dont dare try 'cause if it's not that she'll kill me, so would like to be sure before I wipe all her data..

Update, it was that I just wiped all except the SD and flashed, all is just great

Low Storage Bug

Hi, my friend's phone is having a annoying bug which I didn't even saw something like that.
He did a factory reset in his device, but after it booted it keeps showing the low storage warning.
The user storage still 12.07GB free, just ~900MB used.
Can't install any app from play store or apk. Sometimes the apps don't open and show as not installed, sometimes af reset, camera doesn't open, first time settings wizard doesn't open, settings and google play show as not installed when try to open.
This is really stranger and annoying, how can I fix it?
And also every time when the phone boots, it erases ART cache and reloads the apps.

But the phone is with bootloader locked, never unlocked, no root, no Xposed or custom recovery.
When wiping cache / dalvik it still the same, and everytime the phone boots, it clears magically(?) the dalvik cache

I'm not sure if you can Wipe Cache / Dalvik in Stock Recovery - if the option exists, try that. Alternatively, Android has become corrupt, and the most obvious solution is to wipe userdata and fastboot flash the latest Factory Firmware Image.

I tried to restore stock firmware 6 times but system wasn't installing, so I unlocked the bootloader, installed TWRP, installed a custom rom then phone booted fine. Thanks

Good day guys! I'm trying to flash Arrow OS 12.1 and CrDroid OS but both failed. It even not load. I'm trying figure out where i could be wrong. I'm on latest Official TWRP by Nebrassy. Already tried to downgrade to TWRP 3.5 something, still problem persist. I can flash magisk so i was thinking where was the problem. By the way i'm on MIUI 12/A11.

I think your download it corrupted. Try redownloading the ROM.
Also remember to wipe Dalvik, Data, Cache and Metadata before flashing the ROM.

Dont forget to almost FORMAT data, encryption can also prevent flashing different rom.
And disable every and all passwords, patterns, fingerprints.

use ofox recovery with a12 support.
