hi does anyone have the stock cm11s kernel?
i tried to flash francos kernel and now the phone just sits and the oneplus logo forever.
i can get in recovery and fastboot no problem.
but i think if i just flash the stock kernel back i should be ok.
so does anyone have a copy of the stock kernel i could flash in TWRP?
i had the ota update done before i went to franco.

Hi,
I have managed to put on a kernel that's not working. Is there a way to revert back to the original kernel? I do have a nandroid backup, but re-installing that didn't put on the old kernel.
I am using Liquidsmooth ROM. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
if you can boot into the rom use flashimagegui, if not do the normal fastboot the boot.img then do it again with flashimagegui to get the modules.
what kernel did you try to flash? the only kernel that will work with new liquidsmooth is cm10.1_vz-oc-linaro.3.zip. it contains modules, if you aren't s-off then you need to flash boot.img in fastboot then flash again in recovery for the modules.

I did exactly that, presuming that it was working... But I have been facing issues. The phone restarts every once in a while and I have managed to get to this condition after multiple wipes and restoring a backup. Anyways I don't know what the issue is I was just wondering how to revert back to the original kernel.
im running Liquid-JB-v2.1-RC2-evita.zip and cm10.1_vz-oc-linaro.3.zip. there seem to be some general issues with the rom that present as basically glitching and gets worse overtime atleast for me. im pretty sure it isnt related to the kernel. but to revert kernel just load the liquidsmooth zip into flashimagegui and itll pull the needed files, let it wipe cache and dalvik then reboot.

Thanks I'll make sure I do that..
also new stable build of liquidsmooth just got released. you should flash it. imma flash it with a clean full wipe. but you should s-off first so you dont have to flash boot.img separately every rom.

Ya, I saw the new version wanted to try that which is why I wanted to got to the old kernel version. I had tried installing it with the linaro kernel but it gets stuck on the boot screen.
Update: - I installed the flash gui image, then extracted and installed the kernel , factory reset the phone, then installed the latest liquid smooth build. But it is still not going ahead of the boot animation.
Update 3 :- Got the old kernel back. Did a restore. Working fine now . But still for some reason I cannot install the new ROM yet.

you need everything. you don't need to extract the kernel. just load the whole zip file.

I did load the full file and the flash gui image extracted the kernel. The thing is I have the kernel now, but still I can't seem to be able to install the new version of the LiquidSmooth build. I am doing a nandroid backup of this thing and try installing it again.
well new liquidsmooth is nice, im using cwm now as recovery since ive had tons of issues with twrp since version 2.2.2.0

So I have installed franco Kernel on final lollipop on my Nexus 5 and I want to flash another Kernel but it says I have to do a clean flash with stock kernel. I didnt find a .zip stock kernel for stock LRX210 and I want to know how to go back to kernel. I can flash .img but if its going to erase my data I would prefer a .zip to flash in recovery, thanks!

I've been using Temasek's UNOFFICIAL Build, for his last 3 build updates with TYR kernel. I decided I wanted to try out AK, or Render Kernel with Tamasek. Flashed new UKM update from AK, flashed new kernel. Restarted the phone and it constantly reboots on One+ logo. Never loads boot animation. Decided to fully wipe the phone, including system and reflash Tamesek. Then tried flashing AK. Same problem. Tried full wiping again and flashing a different rom and AK kernel or Render kernel and same issue. Reflashed TYR kernel and it works perfectly fine.
I have no idea what's going on. But, I don't want to be stuck using only 1 kernel. Any ideas?

Better ask your question in AK or Temasek thread
A friend of mine is having touch issues with his opo! It's unresponsive sometimes! He is on stock unrooted 05q. Will flashing a custom kernel help?
If yes please suggest a good one

I tried this, I now tried 3 different roms. SlimSaber unnofficial, Robbie's CM12, and Euphoria and all of them do now allow me to flash AK kernel or any other kernel. I think something borked on one of TYR's kernel flashes. May I should reset the phone completely. Is there an option to do this with ODIN that someone can point me into?

Right, just wiped/restored my phone to stock/factory all the way back to CM11S30R. Unlocked bootloader, rerooted, upgraded firmware and reflashed Euphoria and still can't flash AK without bootloopingon the ONE+ logo. I then clean wiped, and flashed Euphoria and same issue. I am at a loss, I have no idea what else to do.

No need to flash back to 30R
I'd flash the 05Q stock using fastboot
That comes with latest modem etc
Then if you'd like flash custom rom in recovery
Unlock bootloader?? Did you lock it after unlocking it?
What version of recovery are you using?

I am using TWRP 2.8.5.1.. I just figured I'd redo everything from scratch. Nothing is working. I can only flash TYR with all the roms I've tried, where it successfully boots. I'm also flashing UKM 3.8.1.

Did that twice. Installs perfectly every time.
Anyone know where I can locate the stock kernel? Im running Elemental X kernel and want to go back.
If you want the stock kernel, then fastboot flash the stock boot.img to both slots...you will lose twrp but that can always be installed again

Thanks! I may do just that as the new update with Double Tap to wake isn't working and I'm assuming its due to Elemental X kernel that has that feature which I didn't enable during flash. I'll likely hold tight for a bit and see if someone posts a flashable via TWRP stock kernel so i dont need to go through the hassle of reinstalling TWRP (even though its not that time consuming).
