The whole app is done so it has a minimum impact on the battery life.
That being said, the app has three levels of cpu usage :
Max usage (about 2% ) When you activate scrolling .
Intermediate (about 1%) when you enable one of the options (Show widget by shaking - Activate scrolling by shaking)
Low (0%) when the server is started and the widget is shown but none of the above situations are valid.

Nice. Will test as soon as get home tonight and provide you with the feedback

Not working on Galaxy S4
This seems great, but it won't work on my GS4. I believe that the S4 is a multi-touch device but this app states that it's not supported. Any help or tips?

Unfortunately on my Samsung Tab 3 - 7" it is saying my device does not have multi-touch enabaled even though, as far as I know, it is a multi touch device. All other tests come up with green checks.

Note 3 isn't multi touch device?!?!?
Please fix it.. :fingers-crossed:

Works on Xperia Z2. But it responds too slow imo to use it while browsing or reading. scrolling with finger is faster and more precisely. thanks anyway, it works!!

Hi all, thank you for your feedback,.
I am well aware of the problem concerning multi-touch screen detection , and I am working on it.
I have just released a new version 1.0.24 , please tell me if it fixes the issue.
Anyway with your help I can make it work

Works on Note 3 now.. :good:
I'll wait for a tutorial in the form of a video.. The inbuilt tutorial couldn't teach me..

App efficiency
Well, the app worked on my s4 but it lacked fine controls: the its moves rather fast and stopping the its motion is somehow random, not regular. Its good because it works on other apps

Thank you , it's a relief to hear that the problem is fixed.
Next step will be fine-tuning the control as many of you have noted.

on nexus 7 with cm11 ROM and can't get this to work.
clicked start server and all requirements checks. it'll detect shake & tilt but nothing will scroll. even in training scroll don't work.

seems to got it to work by changing the scrollable area center to the actual center of my screen.
nice app, but was hoping for manual tilt scroll instead of automatic scrolling. would rather control the speed/scrolling by tilt rather than tilting back and forth to start/stop scrolling.

Hi,
I am unable to start the server in your app Tilt Scroll v1.0.25.
I am on JB 4.2.2.
It says my device does not suppot multi-touch.
Not sure why, as my device supports the same. Attached herewith the error that i get when trying to turn on the server and the multi-touch test results.

Volume Up (1 to 3 time)
Volume Down (1 to 3 times)

App Rules:
This are rules that deactivate rotation for specific apps or
force them to a particular rotation.
Be aware of that only DenyRotate, Rotate Potrait, Rotate RevPotrait, Rotate Landscape
Rotate RevLandscape are considered as valid rules.
So as of right now you cannot assign playing a sound when a certain app opens.
Seperate app profiles:
For using the seperate app profiles do the following:
1. Create App rule for the application you target
2. Select "Seperate Profile for App"
3. Save App rule
4. Select profile and edit
Options:
AutoStart MobileMagic
Start hidden
Stay On
Speed/Cache optimizer
GPS
GPS while power off
How to install:
You need to install .NET compact framework 3.5
Afterwards you can just copy the contents of the attached ZIP
onto your device.
Be aware of that many options only get active after you explicitly exit
MobileMagic and you restart it.
Please be advised: You use this software at your own risk.
I deny any responsibility or liability.

Seems you can't control hard buttons. Been trying to add function to "Take call" button, but it doesn't work. Backspace doesn't work either.

Could you please define "Standby"?
Is it when you "turned off" the phone by the power button?
Or is it in case you turn of the screen, with MMs features.
Also could you let me know which tool you use to
check battery drainage?
by standby I meant the phone "turned off" by power button. I use Batlog to monitor battery consumption.
Now, with MM turned off I have between 6 an 30 mA.

No, GPS and WiFi turned off.
Maybe if someone else could test the application and give some feedback. It could be that there is just something incompatible with my ROM. I use Dexter Series (build from 15th december).

will test this when i get home
but thinking something like this would be helpful when playing videos full screen - right and left for fast foreward/rewind, up/down for volume up and down, diagonal for brightness
another thought is for first person shooter games
and finally a gesture to toggle it on and standby

Thanks. I developed on 7.7 stock and tested on friends 10.1 stock, but I hope to get my hands on 10.1 for longer time (maybe next week) and try different firmwares.
CM9 not available for 7.7 unfortunately. But good to know that gestures are registered on ICS, so I think I can make it fully functional.

Same issue for me with AOKP, gesture text shows up but nothing happens.. I think there is great potential with this, your work is much appreciated!
Really nice. But like the other, it shows the gesture, but nothing happens (CM9)
Would be awesome, like an iPad, 4 fingers swipe to change between recent apps

dono if you can do this but when you install the full version it doesnt overwrite the lite version so you have two of the sme thing just a little feed back but other than that a great app and will probs be using it a lot
I would like to have the option of having the icon display in the status bar. This could be a paid only option but it would be nice for people like me who just want it to run in the background.

There are hundreds, if not thousands, of baby friendly contents on web, app, YouTube, and other video source. The app allows you to open any of those contents for your baby and protect your phone from being destroyed by baby random clicking.
*******************************************************************************************************************
Features:
★ Block touch on any apps, including YouTube and browsers (video playing without problem. I haven't find any app that doesn't work with this app yet)
★ Block home, back button, recent-app button, and menu button
★ Lock volume
★ Easy unblocking with options
★ Even works on lockscreen to prevent calling to 911
★ Option to "Keep screen on" while blocking
★ Option to "Lock orientation" while blocking
★ Super simple start. Only need 20 seconds to fully understand how it works
★ Super optimized; next to zero memory and CPU usage
★ Tiny app size
★ No ads; that's right, no ads
★ No sneaky permission, only 2 basic ones
★ No data usage, it doesn't even need internet access permission
★ No sign up, no email, no phone number, and no information is saved or required
*******************************************************************************************************************
Coming Features:
★ Option to allow interaction on running app in the foreground
*******************************************************************************************************************
Limitation:
This app does not provide baby content at this moment.
There are a few reasons:
1. ) I am not an expert at determining what content is the best for babies; I only want to provide what I believe is the best.
2. ) There are so many baby content available everywhere already.
Other notes:
This app does not block power button.
Volume lock is to revert volume changes.
If somehow you can't unblock after start blocking, you can press and hold power button to restart phone and that will fix it.
I have tested this app on as many phones and apps that I can, but if you do find an app or a phone that this is not compatible with, please email me the phone model, android version and the app link, so I can test it and fix it.
Update 5/20:

Update 4/30:
New confirmation mechanism - You can now confirm with a thumb while holding the phone with one hand. For tablet, you don't have to drag the confirmation bar all the way to the top.
Block Indicator - Now it shows blue dot when blocking and being tapped. This helps user to know the blocking is active. Especially useful when it's in lockscreen and user forgot blocking is active.
Updated with Dragging up confirmation box.

Is it possible to configure the app to auto engage when a particular app is running? so for example if Youtube is started the the notouch app activates?
Also, is it possible to have it startup automatically on device boot so that it is running and active by "default"?

Thanks for your interest.
Regarding auto engage, is it that really useful? Currently it doesn't have that feature, because it only takes 1 swipe from the notification and 1 tap to activate.
Regarding auto startup on boot, it might be a bit too dangerous. For example, if you somehow can't not unblock it (For example, someone sets it to 10 taps/sec to unblock), then your last way to get pass it is to do hard reset which is holding power for 10 seconds.
But auto start up the notification is possible. I might add that in, just don't want to pollute the UI with 20 options that general moms don't know how to operate. I might add in an advanced option category in near future.
Thanks.

Sorry for using this thread for this, but I don't think so. I have an app for children on my tablet with pictures and spoken names off different animals. My nearly 2 year old daughter loves it, and actually she can name most of the animals clearly and instantly. I think the point is what kind of content you show to little kids and how long you let them play with it.
Swyped from my incredible Sony Xperia Z with Tapatalk 4
http://www.aap.org/en-us/advocacy-and-policy/aap-health-initiatives/pages/media-and-children.aspx
Confirms partly what I said, content and duration must be under parental guidance. But I think even kids under age 2 can learn from both: people AND media. And now let's stop hijacking the thread.
There is a bug currently when unblocking if Unblock confirmation is not set. A new update will be released to fix that later today. Please enable unblock confirmation before using it for now.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hi!
Is it possible to have the app lock input for 0.5-1second after turning the screen on? I have a bug on my N5 that causes shadow presses when the screen is unlocked. Setting a lock pattern solves this on one side but when the light sensor turns on/off screen during a call it still causes erratic behavior.
Thanks.

Also, is it possible to have it startup automatically on device boot so that it is running and active by "default"?

Thanks @thahim, actually i'm working to enhance it, it was tested with H.A.W.X and mafia and many other games but not GTA
using accelerometer to simulate actual keys is pretty complex, so i will add option to control sensitivity of motion which i think is the problem in GTA case if the traditional controls are working fine.
Please make sure that:
You must click and hold on directions empty circle to activate motion while you are playing, which gives you more control when you want to stop moving in game by touch up or swipe out of the circle.

I haven't tried it yet, but I believe it will support multiplayer mode. maybe 2 phones connected to the same server.
Great Idea! I am trying this on the Moto X and my W8.1.1 machine. It says client is offline at the bottom of the client and it cannot connectoon the Moto X. Is there a fix/
subscribed and following... great idea love to see it pan out to multiple games and OSs.... used on H.A.W.X(i just had the game just my luck) works decent no problems as of yet... Win7 and nexus5
Great work. Grats. Any possibility to add 2 controller in a future? Fantastic to play with emulators
Enviado desde mi GT-N7100 mediante Tapatalk
how does it work
Add Analog Sticks?
Maybe add the addition of 1 or 2 analog sticks (optional of course) so you can use it with Emulators!
Overall though, such a good app.
is it possible to use this to play metro game app in win 8.1
Nice app
This app idea is good but i didn't found it very much working for example i tested Assassin creed brotherhood with it and there are following drawback which kept me from enjoying game
- First of all buttons was not enough it need at least 11 buttons just for movement attack and to scroll weapons and there was only 8
- when i updated buttons setting for it it didn't got updated even after reconnecting
- The Gyro movement and senstivity is pretty confusing...
hope u can fix this....I recommend u to add settings from popular gamepads and plz add more buttons 11-12 are required buttons for most of games....
one thing i liked it was lag free......
thank you sir I will try to,
:good::laugh:
OMG first all it is a wonderful app, it connected straight away, I could launch the games straight away from my phone, and I the motion seemed to be working for a few minutes, though glitchy a little bit, BUT Overall I am absolutely blown away by this amazing app. Maybe wait till it grows into a more mature app then maybe I could even replace my controller for it
i used to play with my Xperia Play as a joystick using the Njoy app and the server, but it only supports GB and i'm now using cm10 so it doesn't work anymore.
So,i have questions, can i map my own profiles? Can i use my phisical keys?
Im gonna try and come with feddback
Looks cool
Will give it a shot

[App][4.4+][No Root] Volume Scroll - paginated scrolling with your Volume Rocker!

Update: Version Alpha 1.2 is now up on Google Play Store as well as in the attachments!

Hello XDA community!
This is my newest (and smallest) App, at 75.4 KB, Volume Scroll lets you scroll through pages on almost any App using your Volume Rocker. And yes, you read the title of the thread right, it requires NO root permission.
Once activated, scroll a tiny bit of the content you want to be scrolled using Volume Rocker. Pressing either of the volume keys will make a paginated scrolling (jumps to new content, flips a page - however you may like to understand.)
This will feel very natural and immersive, especially when you want to consume a really long article on Google Chrome or an endless feed of Facebook, Instagram and many more applications.
What happens to adjusting volume? Well, a long press on either of the Volume keys will activate the default behavior (bringing volume control panel on screen.) Neat?
In addition to scrolling through Volume Rocker, there is an optional onscreen buttons as well. The onscreen buttons will appear when there is a scrollable content available on screen, and if no action is taken on the button, they fade within 2 seconds - and appear back, if you manually scroll some content.
So far, the App works on all popular chatting Apps, Social Media Apps, GMail, Google Chrome, etc. However, don't be surprised if it doesn't work on your pdfs or some 3rd party browsers - that will be due to technical limitation.
Below is a demo of the onscreen buttons, if somebody can make a short demo video of the Volume Rockers in action, it would be great! Also note that, the below demo features auto scrolling which is NOT included in this initial alpha version.
The Alpha_1 version is available at the attachments, Play Store and XDA Labs. This version of the App is Ad-free, there will be a lot of more features in future depending on how the App is received, like:
✓ Auto Scrolling pages with onscreen buttons as well as Volume Rocker
✓ Configure time gap for auto scrolling.
✓ Ability to move around onscreen buttons
✓ Configure how you want Volume Rocker to behave - Single press, long press, double press.
✓ Blacklist/Whitelist Apps on which the App should function.
Mention which feature you look forward to, in your review of the App.
Download now from Google Play Store!
The main purpose of this early release to the community members here is to get some feedback. So, if you try the App, please do let me know your experience, suggestions. Cheers!
Note: The App uses Accessibility permissions - that are an absolute requirement for the magical linking between your Volume Rocker and scrolling. If you don't feel comfortable with the permissions please do not use the App. That being said, I have a couple of other Apps developed which are downloaded and trusted by couple of 100,000+ users (point in case - Energy Bar), none of the Apps have any hidden motive.

What's new?
Version Alpha_1.2:
HOTFIX for screen turning off - when you use only volume keys for scrolling, the device was assumed to be idle - it's now fixed.
*reserved 2*
Is there any way to move the on screen control to the right of the screen?
It's a very cool idea but I really think that paginated scrolling isn't the best implementation, it would be better if I could choose to set single press to activate volume controls, but a long press would scroll a page smoothly similar to a mouse wheel. This would've been awesome, unless there is an unavoidable limitation to doing that.
Also if you could add a blacklist, for those apps you don't want this feature to work in.

Hi! A smooth scroll isn't possible due to technical limitation. Volume Rocker behavior configuration, whitelist/blacklist options will be available soon.
Alpha_1.2 is now up on Google Play Store as well as at the attachments to the first post.
Its not working in Opera Mini browser. I don't think it can be made to work in it? And yes a blacklist or per-app setting will be much appreciated.
I often have to swipe the screen up and down quite often to get the app to respond. Maybe activating the volume button scrolling option by holding down the buttons could be a better solution? Then we also don't have to always long click the buttons to change the volume or to use the Gboard key cursor control.
Damn, I was really hoping that this would work but I've been unable to get the volume scroll or on-screen scroll to work on a Yotaphone 2 (android 5.0). The device has an epaper screen and smooth scroll is just not suited to this type of screen.
Hi there, do you continue your work with this app? I have a oneplus 3 with oreo. Can not get your app to work. But I am looking for this feature. Your description sounds very good. Please continue developing
