Hello everybody,
I have downloaded Tasker a few weeks ago and set up some profiles. I am still a total noob and try to improve my profiles and tasks as much as possible.
In my profile "headset connect" i want to start spotify and turn on the screen. Launching spotify is very easy however i haven't found a soloution to turn on the screen aswell. Under the display option "turn on" is red. My device is rooted and I also installed Secure Settings.
Is there any chance this might work?
Many thanks in advance for your help!

Download Secure Settings plugin from play store. My OPO refuses to detect any headset though, idk if problem is with Tasker or CM11S or maybe just the hardware. Works fine on the N5 though.

Hi
I have the M1000 (see my profile)
I use it with the Plantronics M3000 bluetooth headset, but after one (1) minute the headset is automatically disconnected, while the call is still connected to my M1000.
Any one knows what setting I need to change to keep it connected????
Hey m8,
Try this one:
http://bluetooth.i-networx.de/index_e.html
Maybe that will help ya....
panja thnx for the tip
but...
I installled it and now I am running into problems:
according to the online manual
The two battery icons on the right side let you switch between two profiles for auto power off of the PDA and the back light. For example you may switch to the second mode and adjust the settings to "always on" and "never switch back light off". Thereby you can switch the PDA with one simple to "always on" when you are in your car and want to use GPS navigation.

but How do I get into the settings?? I can click or tap the icon longer, nothing happens?
I searched in the programs folder, in the settings folder, but can not find any icon referring to this tool????
2nd problem is that after removing the original bt profile I recreated the bond again, as advised in the manual. I got the new additional screen, but now I can not connect to my headset!!!!
anyone out there to help me??
one part of the problem solved
after some trial and error (and a soft restart, which was not adviced by the installing instructions) the headset work fine now
only question remains, how can I change the settings of the 2 battery icons in the today plugin
HI,
You don't need to change any setup options... Only select wich mode (1 or 2) you want to change and... do what you want ! I mean you only need to ajust - for example - backlight level and it will be kept in this mode !!!
Really cool, isn't it !?

Hi guys, I've been trying to make a some kind of camera out of my phone so the SW2 vibrates any time a motion is detected. So far I managed to make the tasker turn off and on the Bluetooth connection so the SW2 vibrates showing that it's disconnected right now. However, this method is very unstable and battery-insufficient. Can someone of you guys tell me how to use the tasker notifier properly, because somehow I didn't manage to set it up. Once again, I just need it to work this way: IP webcam detects motion - tasker pushes a notification directly on my SW2(with vibration)(maybe there are more than one way to do this?)
Sorry for the noob question, I do not ask you to write a whole profile for me, just explain how the tasker notifier works.
Thank you in advance/Sorry for the off-topic

If you have watchit or something like this on your SW2 you simply need to make a last task (instead of turning on/off bluetooth) "Alarm" -> "Notification" Set your Text in Title field. Done.
Now your Notification App (WatchIt, Watchify - whatever) shows your Notification.
Hope that helps.
Hi,
I'm new on this forum and I have a question for you all. I am building an app that will activate by pressing the headphone button while screen is off, however I'm having trouble because S-Voice activates instead of my app. I can get it working while the screen is on, by disabling the S-Voice shortcut. The thing is I still want the S-Voice service to run in the background and the users being able to access it, but only by going into the app itself, and not via some kind of shortcut. Root is not an option.
Any ideas on how to tackle this?
Thanks in advance,
N.B.
Hopefully someone can help me out with this...been reading forums etc. for a while and can't find an answer..
Rooted HTC One m8. Tasker pro. Secure Settings free version. Running 5.0.1
I installed the helped for tasker (or whatever it's called now) and added a new task. Went to plugins >secure settings>gps and set for 'enabled'. When I test the task, it gives me nothing. I trying setting a shortcut to see if that might work and same result as the test. When I go into tasker and click 'test action' it says 'executing action' and it works. However, as soon as I try just clicking the play button, nothing. No clue what else to try, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Same Issue with Llama Locale + Secure Settings

I'm running Exodus 5.1.1 on my OnePlus One. In Llama with the Secure Settings plug in, when I test and activity to toggle GPS to High Accuracy Mode when Maps or Waze is launched, the test works flawlessly. When I actually launch Maps or Waze though, the action never triggers and remains on GPS Battery Savings Mode.
Android Wear voice action to play music only works if the phone screen is on & unlock
Using Android Wear voice command "listen to..." or "play ..." will basically queue up my music and won't start playing until I unlock and/or turn my screen on. I've spent a bunch of time trying different music on my phone locally and streaming and each time I have to have my phone on for it to start playing. How can I fix this?

These could the reasons but I would need more information
Do you have any app which hibernates your apps in deep sleep mode (screen off) Like Greenify /Amplify etc?
Are you on a custom rom ?
do you use battery saver mode while trying this ?

I do not use Greenify /Amplify. The only app I have that's close or allows changes to how my phone behaves is 3C Toolbox, and I haven't enabled or changed anything in that app.
I do not use a custom ROM. I am stock rooted on the Tmobile ROM, so locked bootloader.
I have turned off stamina mode, which I have set to activate at 15% anyway, with the same results.

So according to you, you do not use any battery saving apps or stamina mode neither hibernation apps or any custom ROM or kernel and still you need to turn on screen to run music player. You send commands via your android wear to your phone via bluetooth and both devices are paired. Try removing the toolbox and see any differences ..
Which version of android are you running and secondly have you tried restarting devices and re-pairing as well.
Seems to me some compatibility issues. Are you using stock music player or some different app?
Try google music and see if that helps.

Correct. As soon as I turn the display on, Google Play Music is opened ( I can't tell if it loads when I unlock/turn the display on or if it gets that far and doesn't play) and starts playing. I will try removing 3C.
I'm on 5.0.2, the latest Tmobile firmware. I have Google Play Music set as the default action, for that voice action.
After much troubleshooting I was able to find my answer: I need to say either artist+album, artist+song, or Album to get playback to start while the screen is off and phone is locked. Saying "listen to *artist* does not start playback until the screen is turned on, and it appears it will pick a random song to play.
