Back in May, I bought a Docomo F-03D phone and it recently stopped working. I was using it one morning and the screen happened to freeze. I took out the battery and put it back in and when it was turned on, the screen freezes and it wouldn't respond at all. It basically says "No Service" when I do have a sim card inserted and the homescreen is blank.
I've tried to run recovery but it also says "sd downloading failed file open error". Please help me? I really want to keep this phone and make it work

The Phone Service in my touch cruise has stopped working. It says on the home screen that there is "no service" the dialing pad and contacts are unavailable.
I have tried restting the phone taking out the battery and the sim card and nothing works.
Syncronization is also not working, when I connect it soon gives me an error and stops. But there is no error message and there is no cause provided for the error.
Hard-reset, if it still won't work, try another SIM card (for example, from someone else), or try yours in a different phone, to make sure it's not a SIM/network issue. If still no luck - it's a hardware problem.
Yes hard resetting worked. Since I did the hard reset I decided to uograde the ROM. I tried doing it but After I initiate the process the screen on the phone goes into the rainbow colors and then it seems to loose connection with the PC, then it gives me an error 260 saying not connected. Could this be a Windows 7 issue? Should I try the upgrade under Vista? (what I have a t work)
error 260 is a connection error according to the readme which comes with most roms. Is your phone synced with active sync before flashing. Also try putting your phone in bootloader screen "press the camera button and reset" and try flasing your rom then.
Also disable antivirus it sometimes stops flashing.
Yes it was synced before flashing, when I start the process it goes into bootload screen and then I hear the sound like when you unplug and replug an USB device. So it seems it drops the connection when it goes into the bootloader screen.
I've spent the last hour searching through but can't find a problem like this one.
I switched the phone off last night and when back on this morning it booted up OK except I had lost all my 'people' and had no contact list.
I rebooted again, this time it came up with a cprog.exe error message.
I rebooted again and it came up with a device.exe error message.
Another reboot and no radio.
Stuck in airplane mode and when you try to 'turn your phone on' you get the windows swirling dots then it locks up.
If I take the SIM card out, i can run wireless to the internet with no problems and the rest of the phone seems to function correctly.
If I put a SIM card in, the problems all start again PLUS it gets hot below and to the left of the sim card.
I have flashed the stock ROM from the HTC site but the same problems appear.
Apart from a few tweaks (thanks to XDA!) I've never really pushed the limits of this phone.
Can anyone please suggest a course of action to resolve the problem?
I really love my HD2, it feels like my lover has cheated on me...
I've tested it some more and it fundtions perfectly with the SIM card out.
I've used the SIM card in another phone and that works perfectly.
Has anyone had experience of a SIM reader failure?
Self help rules!
I renamed PIM and moved it to a temp folder.
A fresh PIM loaded and my problem is solved.
Full access to the SIm card and full functinality restored.
I didn't need to load a fresh ROM, I could have just renamed PIM and saved myself a load of grief.
Thanks for all the replies lol....
So out of nowhere today, i awaken my phone and I see an error "SIM card removed, reboot phone" I reboot the phone and now I have no signal and a SIM card symbol in the notification bar. I didnt remove the SIM so I dont know what happened or how to fix it. Anyone know how to fix this?
EDIT*** Nevermind. I removed the sim, then put it back and that solved the problem. Probably should have tried that before posting lol
happened to me a week ago. I was puzzled. I removed the sim and battery at the same time like 10 times. So I flashed back to stock and took it in. The guy plugs the phone in (probably checking for root) and then unplugs pulls the sim and battery and turns it back on. All working like nothing happened.
So got this shiny new phone and decide to root it for adblock etc.
The root went fine, I used the Xperia-L root zip not the chop--- something. So a while after that, maybe a day or two suddenly I get a No Service.
I went into Settings-Mobile Networks and try to choose the network manually, I couldn't, I can move through Auto and Manual but when I select Manual it always goes back to Automatic. Can you guys confirm that that settings doesn't work? Can you choose Manual instead of Automatic?
Then the phone scanned for available networks and it found my home network relatively easy...
NOW selecting my home network gives me the error "Could not join network right now. Please try again later"(or something like that). A minute after that a toast message pops up "Registered on Network" but I still get no service...
Anyone have any idea? I thought Sony phones are root friendly with them sponsoring CM and all....
I have tried everything. Unlock, relock bootloader, restored TA...flashed stock firmware....taking the sim card out while power is still on and inserting it again.....
So frustrating, thanks for any insight....:fingers-crossed:
It happened with me..
What I did is,
Switched off the phone
Removed SIM card
Restarted phone
Again switch it off
Inserted the SIM card
Restarted the phone..
It worked!
This is my first post on these forums and hopefully I'm doing that in correct section.
Over past weeks phone frozen and rebooted on its own several times, each time it was preceded by loss of network signal in subway. Once after that happened phone booted into system activation screen just like starting phone for the first time or after using "reset to factory settings".
Now comes the strange part. When on this first screen I get constant popups that some app in background has been stopped. I'm able to get past that to next screen. When I type in the email and accept it will be stuck on connecting forever. If I chose to skip and fill my name form I get back to empty form after accepting.
When I booted to recovery mode I noticed error at the bottom of the screen about not being able to mount /Data if I recall correctly.
When I tried to use Heimdall to flash CWM I received error saying: Failed to initialize protocool.
Any ideas how to fix it? What I'd like to do first is connect to the phone with some software and back up my data if any of it is still left.
Help will be appreciated.
