My G3 asks me every other day (sometimes several times a day) to input my voicemail PIN. I have nearly all, if not all, AT&T bloat frozen and a few others that aren't specific to AT&T. Is anyone else having this issue? Not sure if this has anything to do with it but the text transcribing is not working either.
Me to never had this before and voice mails show up late and sometimes not at all

I think it's an ATT issue, my wife's Note 3 just started doing this too. It's crazy. I'm tired of her texting me asking what her password is, lol.

Wouldn't surprise me if it was. I thought for sure it was at first but it's been ongoing for about 3 weeks now.
Call the voicemail number and follow the prompts to change your PIN. Takes about 20 seconds and you won't be prompted again.

I've been having an issue where my incoming calls are sent directly to my voicemail. It happens about 70% of the time, and its incredibly frustrating. I went into a Sprint store and they performed a firmware update, and it seemed to fix the problem for a couple weeks, but its back again. I've tried searching but havent been able to find anything.
A Sprint employee told me that Android phones require a couple seconds to "completely" hang up. Not sure that the issue though. My area is 1x, phone is in Hybrid Mode and the feature to automatically send to voicemail is disabled.
Any ideas? Anyone else having this problem?
I am having the exact same issue; and I've noticed it has gotten worse over the last week. I'm not in a 3g area, and I notice it happens more frequently if I've been surfing the web or using data.
do you guys/gals experience this in one particular area? meaning it o only happens at home? seems like your phones might not be getting service and the calls get sent straight to voicemail.
Since CDMA cannot handle voice and data at the same time you may notice calls going straight to voice mail if you've been browsing or using data. The call may never come through if you happen to be using data at the exact time a voice call is coming through...
check settings/call settings and make sure DDTM mode is not checked

mine seems to be more or less random. I usually have solid signal; and I've had people tell me they called four or five times and the first ones went right to voicemail and then one randomly gets through. In these cases I KNOW I haven't moved my phone...

This is true, however, the device is smart enough to know when to cut the data connection if a call is coming in.
I got a replacement device yesterday, seems to be working fine now.

This is exactly what I was experiencing, also in solid 1x coverage. I would recommend going to a Sprint store and asking for a replacement. They replaced mine with no questions asked when the Rep tried to place a call to my phone unsuccessfully in the store.

maybe i'll pop down to my sprint store today then...
Okay so about maybe half a year ago at best maybe a tad longer people calling me and my family could get through at random times. Sometimes the calls would go through other times the calls would go straight to voice mail or it would act like it's ringing on the other end but never does. Verizon said it was the phones i had the note 2 and they had the s3's so they sent us out 2 s4's and a note 3 and problem still persists. What i want to know is are we the only ones having this problem or are there more verizon users like us who have this issue? it doesn't matter if the person calling is on us cellular at&t or sprint or using a landline. texts come through fine.

I am having the same problem. I had it with my last phone, htc rezound, and am getting it with my new phone the htc one m8. Part of the reason i sprung for a new phone (at off contract prices!) was to resolve this issue which it has not. Doing some research no one seems to be able to get any answers, verizon just mostly wants to reset peoples phones or send out new ones. I have read some people say that this has to do with corrupt contacts associated with your google account, but with any average amount of contacts thats a pain in the ass to try and delete and re-add everyone. Currently I am atleast trying to delete and re-add my few main contacts that call frequently and see if that changes anything.

yeah.... i'm not deleting all my contacts and re add them, i have to many. i have this problem still with the m8. had it with fascinate, s3, note2/3, droid razr, thunderbolt. basically almost every phone i've owned!! and it's very frustating!
Not sure if this is a carrier thing or the device? I switched from AT&T to Verizon when this device came out. When on a call and a call comes in I place original call on hold and answer incoming call. If I then hang up on that call it hangs up on both people. Is there no call waiting?
Never had to tell someone they need to hang up so I can switch back to the other person on hold. Seems like either a bad carrier issue or bug? Never had CDMA carrier before so hopefully not an issue I'm stuck with?

This is a CDMA bug since it happens with Sprint as well. I was like you, I switched over from AT&T about 4 years ago. It absolutely drove me crazy for about a year until I just finally gave up and accepted it. I'm hoping that things will chnage when VoLTE becomes the standard:fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:

There is a solution on wikipedia

If you have Sprint dial *38 and/or *720 to restore your call waiting. And for other mobile companies ##21#. But you can read through and find the correct deactivation. The problem happens because somehow call forwarding was active. I think it happened for me when I used my sprint number as my Google Voice number.
Supposedly their one number solution works with any carrier.

Not sure how it works with any carrier when the sign up asks specifically for your Tmobile phone number? Lol I did however read about the beta sign up page leaking people's accounts by a glitch in the system. https://www.xda-developers.com/t-mobile_digits_security/

I went to the site and started to opt in for the beta. It presented me a 10 digit number that was not one of my several T-Mobile lines. I went no further.
About 10 minutes later I went back to the site. They have changed the sign up process. You now just sign up (no data exchange) and they will get back to you if you are selected.
Hope it works as I have 2 smartwatches and a phone line on T-Mobile, plus I have a work phone on Verizon. This could make it easier for me to use one number and not have to worry about setting up call forwarding on multiple devices.

According to Engadget, the app will work with the big 4 carriers. They're not sure about specifics yet.
Hmm well that might be cool then!
Just signed up on mine. My Pixel XL and Gear S3 now use/share the same number

I'm not certain that this is the cause, however, since activating Digits, my S3 doesn't seem to want to connect to the mobile device through the cellular network any more. I used to get all the notifications and now -- nothing. Anyone else experiencing this?
I can't seem to activate the "Remote connection" on the Gear App, so I'm not convinced that the problem is with Digits.
Any thoughts?

Quick update: Much as I hated to do it, a device reset on the S3 and a reinstall of the Gear app on the phone solved it. My guess is that the phone and the S3 device exchanged pertinent info from the esim card that changed when the phone number changed upon enrollment in Digits. Redoing the whole thing, I presume, forced this new information into the equation and solved it toute suite.
If anyone has any additional insight, I'm all ears, but I'm good to go now.
Dan
So I just purchased a Huawei Mate 9 for use on AT&T. I love the phone but had two issues and was wondering if it was a defective phone or if others had the same issue on AT&T. First thing I notice is that I am not receiving messages from various senders, nor does it seem all my messages are going through. Second issue is the fingerprint reader seems very glitchy. It took 20 minutes to set up 4 fingers, with the phone cancelling the attempts several times, constantly prompting me to retry.
The SMS issue is the bigger concern, since it is ongoing. I tried a search to no avail. Is this a known issue?

No issues with SMS on at&t and definitely no issues with the fingerprint reader, it's by far the fastest and most accurate I've ever used. The only issue I have with my at&t sim is the fact that at&t doesn't allow VoLTE.

Yeah, I thought the fingerprint reader was really fast, but it would enroll 80% of my print and then refuse to finish the process, asking me to redo the process repeatedly until cancelling the process.
Was just on the phone with AT&T trying to figure out the SMS issue. I may just ask the seller for an exchange. I don't want to give up just yet.
