I am from India and have Moto G XT1033 Dual Sim Version.
so what i did was - (FOLLOWED THE ROOTING PROCEDURE FROM MODACO superboot tools )
1. I tried to unlock Bootloader via Motorola website and first time i didn't follow proper bootloader unlocking process and tried to root the phone while it was "LOCKED STATUS 0".This gave error Device loked and "cmd".
2. Then i noticed mistake and unlocked bootloader successfully and STATUS was "UNLOCKED " in bootloader.
3. Then i rebooted and again booted into bootloader and then began process and it on the phone screen said something like "Booting" or "cmd" i dont remember actually and then some stripes with BLACK SCREEN and faded colours were there so as told in tutorial , i long pressed power button and rebooted it But after that nothing happened as told in guide and no "SU" or SuperUser app was there.
ALSO the command prompt on pc screen ended the process saying like "Failed"
4. Now when i check with some root checking apps , they all tell me device is not rooted. also from google play store , i installed superuser and it tells no SU binaries found.
CONCERNS ARE -
1 Should i begin the whole rooting process again ? will it mess it up further ? can my device get bricked ?
2 In Recovery option in Bootloader there is a BOT laying down with RED exclamation mark. what is this ?
3 Have i customized my ROM and firmware?
4 How do i get Rooted ?
5 How to get stock firmware/ROM back ?
6 Please help me find my stock firmware for my Indian XT1033 Dual Sim version.
My device after this has slow download speeds like 2mb app is taking 10 minutes or so .

But I don't know if it's rooted or not . if I do what you told to revert to stock , won't it mess up if it's not rooted at all ? Or can I root again by your method if it's already rooted ?
You can root again with this method. No problem. And you can return to stock even without root as long as you have unlocked your bootloader

Well, as long as your phone is booting up and working fine, you don't need to reflash stock. Just root it using the method in the above link.

You've not installed a custom recovery. That's why. Flash a custom recovery.

During what process you got this ?
Have you unlocked the bootloader ?
Or Flashed something ?
If No then Install Sony Update Service ( SUS ) on your PC. I recommend Windows XP OS on PC for doing this process.
Choose your device in the Software and it will install firmware again in your device and your device will get refreshed completely.
Go Here --> http://www.sonymobile.com/in/tools/update-service/
If you have your bootloader unlocked.
Try flashing the stock firmware using Flashtool.
Here I give you the complete guide for this. Download the firmware .FTF and follow the installation guide.

So now Use SUS or Flash the stock firmware directly usinf the Flashtool.
LOL Trust me it will work. It will just refresh your whole system.
Whenever you are flashing your stock firmware it doesn't matter whether your bootloader is locked or unlocked.
And next time research on the apps which effect hardware before installing them that whether they are compatible with your device or not.

Why? Why did you?
It does not work on E.
The exact same thing happened to me too when I installed Pimp My Beats (beats audio).
I fixed it through SUS.
But you can simply flash the stock FTF using Flashtool, they're available for download on xda. A simple search will lead you there.

I got a Moto G from Boost Mobile then i downloaded Blur_Version.175.44.1.falcon_cdma.Boost.en.US to downgrade my Moto G to Kitkat 4.4.2. During the flashing process i got an error message about INVALID SYSTEM IMAGE and then flash finished. Now the Moto G hangs at boot STARTING SERVICES. Then just shuts down on it's own and starts back up. It goes into a reboot loop. Can any of you show me where i can download the correct rom to flash so i can get my phone back up and working again? Any help here on getting the correct image for this phone would be greatly appreciated. Please Help!
Downgrading is not recommended. Did you flash the gpt.bin when you tried to downgrade?

Motorola only provides recovery images for the moto x Dev edition. I don't believe a 4.4.4 stock factory image has been released yet. If you have a gsm model there is a EU 4.4.4 flashable zip available.

To recover a boost mobile to 4.4.4 you'll have to look around, I found it a while ago but don't remember where.

I rooted my G Flex 2 with the help of this forum but now I cant get new OTA update. I get a message on screen:
"This device is suspected in rooting. Software update is not available for rooted device."
I then tried entering Super Su and checked Full unroot option and restarted my phone several times but OTA is still not working and I get the same message.
What else do I need to do to get the new OTA?
Thank you!

you can choose between two ways.
1. (only, if an update is avaible)
-Download and install "LG PC Suite" for the Flex 2
-connect your phone
-click on update
-wait
-your phone is updated and unroot
2.
-Download your stock .kdz from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/g-flex2/development/kdz-lg-g-flex-2-stock-kdz-t3068441 (download your current firmware)
-use this guide to flash firmware: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2785089 (i know it's for the G3, but it works. i tried)

If you have the Sprint version as far as i know, it doesn't yet work with lg suite. I have tried several times and can't get the connection prompt on the phone. Suite continues to say switch to "pc connections" in the connections options but it never shows and will not load on the sprint device.

Thanks for the answers. I will try the LG PC Suite first. I don't have the Sprint version, I live in Serbia thus I have the standard Europe H955 version of the phone.
Downloading LG PC suite now, and will post the results later.
EDIT:
The LG PC Suite did the update to a new version of the software without a problem.
Thank you very much.

try it by your self and report. in the theory you need a flashing tool like Flash Gordon or something like that. that the only way because there are no custom recoverys for the Flex 2
the methods above won't work, you need an app to flash .zips
flash at your own risk

I am using XT1033 model (INDIA), I got the Update notification today so before downloading it i made sure that i unroot my device (MY PHONE IS ROOTED AND BOOTLOADER's UNLOCKED), I did the unrooting process using the inbuilt function of SuperSU app. After that i rebooted the device the superSu was gone i checked the root status with root checker which confirmed my device was NOT ROOTED ,. After that i started the OS update it downloaded the 208 MB file then as usual started the installation and in the middle of this process the boot animation popped up and my phone rebooted and flashed the message "THE UPDATE INSTALLATION WAS UNSUCCESSFUL". PLEASE GUIDE ME THROUGH THE PROCEDURE OF INSTALLING THE OFFICIAL OTA UPDATE 5.1.1.
It happened to me yesterday, and i installed this http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g/general/gpe-lollipop-5-1-1click-installer-t3075522, now again works ok, (well i lost everything but there isn't full happiness).
I am getting the same problem. I first got the update around 15 days back. And I got it again today. On both the occasion, I could download the update. But it didn't get installed. My bootloader is unlocked and my phone is rooted. Is there anyway I can get the 5.1.1 update without relocking the bootloader as I do not want to loose all my data.
Thanks

Hey Mates!
I've been looking for a solution but cant find any helpful advices.
I have rooted my Motorola G; 2 days ago, no problem. As soon as I rebooted it, it wont boot.
these are the errors that occur when I try to boot it
-hab check failed for boot
-failed to verify hab image boot
-failed to validate boot image
Fastboot Reason: Fall-through from normal boot mode
When I try to go to recovery, it says "no command".
It also says that my device is locked.
Meanwhile I've connected it with my PC and I tried to run the desktop version, but no changes so far.
I'd really need your help

This "how to" is for Samsung Galaxy, I know, but I guess it would be a similiar way to reflash the stock kernel of the Moto G?

It seems like the link between your pc and phone was lost during data transfer. Ensure to have the link between the mobile and pc secured. Try replacing the drivers and the usb cable with a good quality one. Loose connections can also cause this type of problem. Something similar happened to me too...
After above flash factory firmware to revive your device first. You can root it subsequently.
You can get all the information in the forum under the Factory Firmware thread. Be careful to download the firmware compatible for your mobile model only.

It is not clear if your phone's bootloader has been unlocked or not. Rooting apps have been known to create issues with Moto G3. I tried to root my phone (which has its bootloader unlocked) with the Kingroot app. Although I could succeed and boot the device, the signals vanished. Hence I adapted the traditional way of rooting using the fastboot mode.
If you have still issues of not being able to boot your phone, then please flash stock firmware available in Factory Firmware thread of this forum (you can flash even though your bootloader is unlocked) as per details given there in. You can root your phone later. If you have an unlocked bootloader, there are other posts to guide you how to ulock the bootloader first. Please note you cannot modify software if your bootloader is locked.
