Nand write Fail. - Galaxy Note 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My note 10 vibrates then shut off 4 good ????? it can only boot to download mode. So ive tried all odins to flash stock recoveries and stock firmwares. But odin gives me the Nand write fail every time.
I tried puting the different files i.e Pit, pda, csc and modem but then it gets stuck on setup connection. Then fails.
Anyone know how I can correct this nand write fail?

No one replying? ? Should I use it as a cutting board?

Rooted and running custom ROM. Forgot which.
Anyway, was using fine one day and all of a sudden it rebooted. Then its stuck in bootloop. Used hard button to get into twrp, it show twrp on the screen then went back to reboot and bootloop again.
I tried to use Odin and flash stock firmware but it FAIL every time. Tried 4 different USB cable, 2 diff PC, 5 different USB port between 2 PC. Same result. I downloaded 3 stock firmware, 2 from sammobile and 1 from rootgalaxy website by zedo max.. All 3 fail to write. Drivers are up to date. PC showed Device ready for use.
Some how its not letting Odin write band. Can't access twrp no matter how many tries. Keep rebooting after twrp show up on the screen..
Any suggestion? Is it Bricked?
Where does odin fail ??
What does flashing TWRP (the Odin version) with Odin do? Does TWRP work after flashing it?
The flash memory may be bad (can only do so many writes to it before it goes to read-only) but you want to ensure that is the case before giving up.
odin won't let me flash twrp. i put the twrp img in the pda slot. click start. it ran it check and then FAIL.
odin get to sboot.in then stop going further, that's where it FAIL. com port show up, connection is fine.
Odin you flash TAR files.

[PROBLEM] Getting stuck at "Getting PIT file for mapping"

Hi there!
I wanted to install a new recovery form this guide: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2663834
The phone has a stock ROM and stock recovery. I can easily go to download mode, boot it even after Odin fails to flash.
The thing is when I flash the recovery, Odin gets stuck at "Getting PIT file for mapping" or something like that and aborts flashing. No bars at phone screen while flashing (it's in the downloading mode), just nothing.
I tried flashing on different computer, different usb port/cable, different recovery and the result is still the same. Sometimes I recieve "Cannot open the COM port." error.
What can I do?
Would you flash custom recovery and root your phone?
First of all upgrade Odin version.
Which extension have cwm recovery file?
Uncheck "Re-Partition" box before the flashing.
Yea, i would to flash some ROM and root my phone
Odin 3.12.3
Tried also with older verisons
File ext: .tar.md5
everything is unchecked during the process
Do you use original samsung cable?
Restart the pc and the device. Try again to flash. If fails just put stock pit file in PIT section, tick Re-Partitions and flash it with recovery in PDA section.
Most of this issue fixes are "I solved it by plugging the cord into another port and letting windows rediscover the phone".
I used original samsung cable, didnt work.
Also adb doesnt see the device when its in downloading mode but I think thats normal.
Where can I get the stock PIT file and is it more risky when i use it?
I'll try with another port and will let know
Ive found some thread here with .pit file:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2428753
is it the pit file that i should use?

Yes, it is. Choose the right version: i9105P (NFC) - i9105 (no-NFC)
Just before flashing I have a question.
Does the flashing now with .pit file will re-create every partition on the phone causing ALL data to be erased? It would be a problem if after repartitioning odin would be still unable to flash the recovery, wouldn't it?

Pit erases all your partition and removes all datas. Recovery hasn't problem with stock pit file.
Went like a charm without using PIT file (unchecked Re-Partition). It went by using different USB Port and I don't know, maybe the fact that I put the pit file also with the recovery image in the same folder.
Damn, this Odin-issue can be very annoying, I tried like over ten times and nothing and now it just went all straight forward for the first time. Thanks for replying!

After Odin and Stock Rom stuck on Blue Screen with Erasing.

Hello guys,
after days of reading and trying i decided to open a thread.
I got my Samsung stuck on Erasing Screen after an update.
I tried to Flash Stock Rom via ODIN. The Flash passed but after Booting the device stuck on the Bluescreen with "Erasing" on the bottom.
I tried Flashing with Pit, and without. With Nand erase and without. With Re-partition and without.
I can not access recovery with VOL UP + Home + Power.
Device is not rooted.
I am very thankful for any advice.
Thanks in advance.

I downloaded the File from SamFirm (G930FXXU2ERE8_CL13438344_QB18102270_REV00) and used Odin3 v3.13.1.
any solutions?
I have exactly the same Problem.
Did you find a possibility to fix that ?
I´m going crazy with that my device is unrootet and on stock Rom when it came into bootloop , i tried to fix it with Odin a couple of times used the latest Firmware from Samfirm but it doesnt work and gets stuck on erasing Screen and keeps on restarting . I can always get into download mode but i cant open the recovery . Another thingis that my System Status in the download mode says custom ?? i never flashed a custom Rom on it Does anyone know if i can bring it back to Samsung like that because i still have a guarantee
i would be so thankful for your help guys
cheers
Had a similar issue before with an S6, and one of the workarounds that works for a lot of samsung issues is to flash the phone through ODIN with a repair firmware and a pit file. If im remembering right the firmware files are AP, CP, BL and CSC, also the pit file. you gotta check repartition in odin too.
any idea how to fix this ? In the same boat, can't figure out how to solve this.
same thing happened to me, i can't get it to work

SM-G955U1 XAA version Brick

Hello guys,
I was trying to install twrp in this S8+ sm-g955u1 and it wasn't working. Every time I tried to flash the TWRP img.tar file it was says something like : "NAND Write fail" or something like that.
Unfortunately I went to the options tab and there was an option called NAND Erase..... So I checked it, and my phone went bootloop never to leave it. I tried several times got it to recovery mode, but the blue android saying Installing system update and after No command logo appears... After pressing volume Up+ Power for a while, I fount a lot of folders couldn't be mounted, or doesn't exists, etc.
I've tried to repartition in Odin, it was okay, but Every time I try to flash the rest of the files, (AP+BL+CSC+CP) I end up getting Complete(Write) Failed after Setup Connection..
Ps.: I've tried already different img versions, and different odin versions, and I even tried to
Did I just lost my hone with NAND Erase ?,Can't I recover the phone?

Galaxy S7 stuck in boot loop, tried flashing it and wiping cache

About a month ago I updated my phone to Oreo and after that it’s been stuck in a boot loop. I tried factory resetting, wiping cache and flashing it with the stock rom, it was successful every time but no fix.
The phone also won’t charge but it shows a charging icon. Phone also turns off after no command and never turns back on.
I also received errors in red every 10 times when turning it on
BOTA: bota read partition fail
Secure check fail: invalid pit or no pit
The phone also won’t go in maintenance boot mode
And started in download mode with Samsung logo and recovery starting all at once
Can someone please give me something

First of all you must ensure you have the CORRECT firmware for your device. Check that you have.
Then flash with Odin but check "Nand Erase" in options before flash.

And what if this doesn’t work?
At the moment going into recovery mode has a lot of errors such as failed to mount /system as read-write or device is busy

OK start with the easy option. Extract the PIT file from your firmware and check "re-partiton" in Odin before you start. There is a separate tab for the PIT file.
Invalid PIT means exactly that, its not the correct firmware for your device and missing PIT is also self explanatory. A genuine firmware will always have the correct PIT file for your device.
You can do the above and it'll either fix the phone or do nothing in which case you'll move to Nand Erase.
