Change my menu colors - Galaxy Note 3 Themes and Apps

Sorry a bit of a Noob to here so bear with me and looking for some advice. I am good with modding my phone and I have done some searching but I wasn't able to find anything about changing the setting menus, pulldown menu colors. I am just getting so bored with the dark color scheme on my note 3 and want something new. I was in the sprint store the other day looking at the LG G3 and its a cool phone and love the themes that they have on their phone and want to mod mine to look like that. I came across a post for putting xposed on a note 2 but didn't know if it would work on a note 3 and was wondering if anyone tried it or can tell me how to go about changing the menu colors and such..
The link to the one for note 2 is here : galaxy-note2.wonderhowto.com/how-to/customize-app-menu-settings-backgrounds-your-samsung-galaxy-note-2-0147944/
but don't wanna go about it and try it if it won't work for my phone.
if anyone can point me in the right direction that would be awesome!

I changed my icons, colours, transparencies, setting backrounds using xposed installer framework and wanam xposed (playstore) all you need is root.

S5 mod.. recent apps by Xperiacle.

can u do the s5 mod with root only plz

Unfortunately not, xposed framework is needed. Installing is very easy and troublefree. S5 icons and recent apps is a mod by xperiacle and you will find it in this section.

Still can't get it
I still can't change my menus/settings page or anything to the light color scheme. Wanam Holo Light doesnt work when i pick a color. only certain stuff works. anyone know how i can completely change my phones color scheme from the dark to light?

[Xposed Mod] XBackground - Replace background with Custom Color or Image

Hello Guys,
Here is another Xposed Module I have been working on. It is in alpha stage with a few features for now but will definitely get more as I learn more. I call it XBackground and of course requires the Xposed Framework already installed. I am sharing it now even if it is not fully developed to get feedback and suggestions.
XBackground - is an xposed module that runs on top of the xposed framework and its main function (for now) is the ability to let you change the Holo Dark background and Holo Light background used by some stock apps as well as many apps from the Play Store to any custom image from your Gallery or any color you like. It also can replace your Notification Panel background to any color/transparency or to any custom image from your Gallery.

How to install and use?
1. Download and install, then activate it in Xposed Installer and reboot.
2. To use, just run the app and say you want to change the holo dark background, just tick the color and choose the color you want from the color picker, then soft reboot. Or if you want to use a custom image, untick the color option and choose the image from the Gallery then soft reboot.
NOTE: Changing from color to image and vice versa always require a soft reboot. Changing from one color to another color always require a reboot. And changing from one image to another image does not require a reboot.
Credits: @rovo89 for the amazing Xposed Framework. BIG THANKS.
Nice work buddy, keep surprising us thanks :good:
Edit: Working very well using both colors and photo profiles
this is nice..
i can change the color of the background..but i cannot change it with picture from the gallery..
is there any special size for the picture??
hello! you can also use live wallpapers?

I wish it was possible but at the moment it is not.
thank you, it is getting more and more white for me. one question, i have the option to change the background Holo Dark AND Holo Light - is it possible to switch from Theme Holo Dark to Theme Holo Light (system) with the corresponding textcolour - like tell the system "let´s go, now use the Light Theme with the right textcolour"?
P.S.: just a little typo, not important but a typo in XBackground - there is Notifilcation Panel Background
i tried it on my tab 2 p3100 but its not working is there any chance to get it working bro
edit- working fine on note n7000 thanks for awesome app
Nice mode. Thanks a lot mate. Notification panel mods are working fine but I have trouble applying holo light. Any suggestion?
I'm on ultimate rom v6 and s4 statusbar with 23 toggles.
Great work.but I want to know which apps use holo light theme so that i can check. Notification panel and holo dark work fine.

Hi xperiacle, I would really like this to work but I can't get it to. I'm on cm10.1... I try to change holo background colour to black but doesn't work on reboot. could you please help me out. Cheers
sir is it possible for us to just set the transparency of Holo Dark background and Holo Light background so that its background is our wallpaper?
How can I delete an image which I have set to default background?
After testing: I dont like that an image in the notification panel will be compressed during close. pls add an option?
Is it possible to make the "Wireless and networks", "Device" and etc category background become to other colours or transparent?
Thanks!
Sorry for my English.
Where can i get xposed installer?

5ubz3r0 Xtheme for Stocks

Hey everyone, I have ported johnblundon's 5ubz3r0 Theme Chooser theme to an xtheme for use in the xtheme engine module. If you're not familiar with xthemes or the xposed framework and you're running a rooted stock setup, then you might want to check it out. I believe anything from 4.0 to 4.3 can run the Xposed Framework, and is definitely cool if you're running stock.
First you need the Xposed Framework installed.
The Xposed Framework is here and you can find out more about it and how it works, as well as download the apk and install it. Once it's installed, go to the app Update/Install the framework and reboot.
Next you need to install the Xtheme Engine Module which will act like CM's Theme Chooser and let you install Xthemes (which are based on Theme Chooser Themes.)
The Xtheme Engine is here, you'll install the XthemeEngine.apk, and once it's installed it'll pop up and notification that the module isn't active. Touch the notification, or go back to Xposed Framework app, and activate the module and reboot.
Now you're ready to add themes and apply them.
Download the 5ubz3r0 xtheme below, install it, then go to your Xtheme Engine app (module), check the Subz3r0 theme, apply it, and reboot.
**Note - You might get a popup about Install/Update in the Xposed Installer when you open the Xtheme Engine app, just click the back button and ignore it. The Framework was updated, and the Xtheme Engine has not been updated yet to reflect it.
That's it, now you have a themed stock setup, plus you can download other modules to add other customizations, or add more xthemes. Once the Framework and Engine are installed, adding and changing themes is just like in CM. I'll post the 3-way reboot module below which is pretty handy.
Here is the Advanced Power Menu module for those who want it.
Special Thanks to johnblundon for allowing me to port his theme, and for his permission to share with you all. If you're running CM check out his theme in the Playstore and make sure you head over here and thank him, he made all of this possible and deserves all the credit. Themeing is new to me, and hopefully I can keep learning and breakout some of my own here pretty quick.
Now for some screen shots. This is the 5ubs3r0 xtheme, with a few changes of my own to suit my preference and to accommodate our Moto setup. This was my first port, and there are a couple of things to tweak still, but hopefully you enjoy it. Soon as I have an update I'll post it, and if there are other icons you want to see themed, just list them and I'll try to get them worked in.
For wallpaper's, boot animations, and other goodies check out the Playstore link above.
Xposed Module Repo you can find the Xuimod here plus many other customizations and mods.

VEry cool man! Nice work!
Xui Mod
Hey man you did mention a pretty nice xtheme but also let the guys use the XuiMod module as well. Its has been my favorite when it comes to transitions. Also a few other themes i liked and use: Circle theme, ruby, crystal 2, mixer, borderline, blue lime. Do check these as well.Just to get that neat stunning look coupled with the XuiMod animations and transitions. Anyone running stock would love these....

I just tried the XuiMod, definitely some cool animations. I'll add a link to the Xposed Modules Repo in the top so others can grab what they want, and see what else is out there. Thanks for the tip.

Any icons in particular, or just in general? I used 72x72 icons because that is generally defined as hdpi, and if you look in the un-modified framework-res.apk, in the /res/drawable-hdpi folder the icons used are 72x72. Have you changed your screen density with another mod somewhere?

I'm looking for this as well
Just had this issue today on 4.4.2 new Sony rom.
I got it black ui, but it takes work.
First of all you need the following:
Xposed framework
Root access
Holo themer - xposed module
App settings - xposed module
Force Translucent - 4.4 only xposed module
Basically install and activate, then open Holo themer and select every app you want dark and select either dark Holo or pure black.
Be aware that dark Holo works on more apps than pure black but for settings ui both are fine.
Now if you check at this stage you will see your wifi and bluetooth sliders are offscreen, so to counter this go to app settings xposed module and find settings again, then change the apps resolution to the highest setting. This puts the sliders back.
As for translucent bar, this was because the status bar stays white without but in all honesty it's a bit fiddly. Again find settings app, then activate, then change top padding to around 70. Less may work but this worked for me.
Screenshot attached
For me, the "Tinted Status Bar" Module does the the job for status bar staying black.
With Holo Themer, you can select Default Device or something like that, to keep Sony black UI, and not that ugly gradient.

Modify Statusbar icons with Root?

I remember back on Marshmallow I think with older phones, substratrum with root would automatically patch up the statusbar icons to match whatever theme you are installing. I've noticed now that on Pixel / Galaxy S8 / Pixel2 with root, we can't seem to modify the statusbar icons. There are some substratum add-ons on the store that claim to fix this but it seems they are Samsung - specific addons.
Is the only way to do this with a rooted Pixel 2 is through some Xposed module?

theme development isn't quite there yet on our phones. definitely give it more time until custom roms and stuff make there way out. also xposed just went live so give devs time to update things to 8.1. however @Tulsadiver has made some good mod progress with 8.1. he managed to get a working Aroma installer which can do things like mod status bar icon colors. try that out for now.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3720384
but if you want to go beyond that then yes xposed is going to be your best option. have fun.

How to easily modify existing Theme

I reluctantly upgraded to android 10 and the basic Black theme I was using is now showing up with White notifications instead of black.
Is there a quick and simple way to modify an existing theme. I suspect not, but figured I would ask.
You could use,#hex or synergy to make a custom theme.
Alternatively if you wait until tomorrow, Goodlock and its apps are supposed to be OneUI2 compatible (3 Feb) Quickstar is the app that mods quick settings and notifications. Works on non root.
Thanks I've heard of hex installer but never used it. The other 2 I've never heard of. Will any of them allow you to edit an existing app or are you starting from scratch on all 3?
Thanks
I just installed hex installer, was not anything exciting. I was able to change the notification color but my default sms app had undesired affects. Hex installer alone will probably not cut it.
Will look at the other 2.
Im using synergy and substratum lite, with mainly liv dark and a few other themes where liv dosent have an overlay .
My current notifications are set to the overall background and i used an overlay to remove notification separation bar.
Thanks for the tip. I'm going to request to samsung to see if i can get their development tool for theming. Likely won't get far but worth a try
