Hey everyone, I have ported johnblundon's 5ubz3r0 Theme Chooser theme to an xtheme for use in the xtheme engine module. If you're not familiar with xthemes or the xposed framework and you're running a rooted stock setup, then you might want to check it out. I believe anything from 4.0 to 4.3 can run the Xposed Framework, and is definitely cool if you're running stock.
First you need the Xposed Framework installed.
The Xposed Framework is here and you can find out more about it and how it works, as well as download the apk and install it. Once it's installed, go to the app Update/Install the framework and reboot.
Next you need to install the Xtheme Engine Module which will act like CM's Theme Chooser and let you install Xthemes (which are based on Theme Chooser Themes.)
The Xtheme Engine is here, you'll install the XthemeEngine.apk, and once it's installed it'll pop up and notification that the module isn't active. Touch the notification, or go back to Xposed Framework app, and activate the module and reboot.
Now you're ready to add themes and apply them.
Download the 5ubz3r0 xtheme below, install it, then go to your Xtheme Engine app (module), check the Subz3r0 theme, apply it, and reboot.
**Note - You might get a popup about Install/Update in the Xposed Installer when you open the Xtheme Engine app, just click the back button and ignore it. The Framework was updated, and the Xtheme Engine has not been updated yet to reflect it.
That's it, now you have a themed stock setup, plus you can download other modules to add other customizations, or add more xthemes. Once the Framework and Engine are installed, adding and changing themes is just like in CM. I'll post the 3-way reboot module below which is pretty handy.
Here is the Advanced Power Menu module for those who want it.
Special Thanks to johnblundon for allowing me to port his theme, and for his permission to share with you all. If you're running CM check out his theme in the Playstore and make sure you head over here and thank him, he made all of this possible and deserves all the credit. Themeing is new to me, and hopefully I can keep learning and breakout some of my own here pretty quick.
Now for some screen shots. This is the 5ubs3r0 xtheme, with a few changes of my own to suit my preference and to accommodate our Moto setup. This was my first port, and there are a couple of things to tweak still, but hopefully you enjoy it. Soon as I have an update I'll post it, and if there are other icons you want to see themed, just list them and I'll try to get them worked in.
For wallpaper's, boot animations, and other goodies check out the Playstore link above.
Xposed Module Repo you can find the Xuimod here plus many other customizations and mods.
Here is the Xtheme

Hey man you did mention a pretty nice xtheme but also let the guys use the XuiMod module as well. Its has been my favorite when it comes to transitions. Also a few other themes i liked and use: Circle theme, ruby, crystal 2, mixer, borderline, blue lime. Do check these as well.Just to get that neat stunning look coupled with the XuiMod animations and transitions. Anyone running stock would love these....

I just tried the XuiMod, definitely some cool animations. I'll add a link to the Xposed Modules Repo in the top so others can grab what they want, and see what else is out there. Thanks for the tip.

Any icons in particular, or just in general? I used 72x72 icons because that is generally defined as hdpi, and if you look in the un-modified framework-res.apk, in the /res/drawable-hdpi folder the icons used are 72x72. Have you changed your screen density with another mod somewhere?

I've searched this forum for the last week on and off since going with RR213/#4 and loving it. I'd like to tweak it a bit to my taste though.
I can't seem to find add on or theme that will work other than in this link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=827081
I've tried so many themes, circle batterys, status icons and none have worked with RR because Lou is a little ahead of his time with the way he breaks out the different elements of this rom.
Hopefully if there are other add ons that work with RR 213 the links can all be posted in this thread.
I'm a dev and didn't dig too deep, but it appears all the mods out there need to be "paired down" for compatibility with Lou's Redemtion roms.
If anyone else has any add ons or themes working please post thread here so we can have a single location to find anyting that is working with Redemtion roms.
Thanks.
I agree the inc /evolution hybrid is a bit different than regular oem sense roms. But its the best running sense rom I've used bar none with #4 kernel. I have a metamorph mod for the entire notification bar pm me if your interested in using it.

What are you trting to accomplish? With the help of many of the developers, I have been able to make flashable rosie mod remaps. There are numberous battery immages that you can use if you replace the images in the Framework and resources apk's. It is easy enough to make a flashable zip of those things.
I have attached some screen shots of changes I have made. On the stock Rosie, I made it semi transparent and used JsChiSurf's remaps to create different rt button combos (I have adjusted the images). Different Icon sets in the notification bar as well as different battery mods. There is also an image of the Carbon Expresso version rosie.
But will we lose the 4x5 app drawer? And the transparency? That's what the op was asking I think, for mods specific to RR2.1.3....

Mine is the 5x5 with transparency. I also have the version that says "all apps" instead of redemption. I can make it 4x5 as well. I just need to remeber what the file was.
Everything in my screen shots are done in RR 2.1.3.
Cool I have some metamorphs...maybe we should start a RR mod thread.

I'm using these and they work perfect.
Thanks that worked with Slayer Black Bar.
ADDON_V12_3_70_Only_BlackTB_SlayersTransitions causing fc on all apps and rebooting. Doing restore.
.
Trying ADDON_R9V8_BlueGlassTB_signed_wTra.zip next.
Force close after boot up on everything, looks nice though, gonna have to recover again.
Am I missing something, is there some other framework that is required besides stock rr2.13?

You have custom zips? How about sharing, your screen shots look good or is that the whole theme you used?

Dude your flashing slayers framework when you flash his taskbar mod unless he used metamorph. Also you can't flash any service or framework jar or you will lose the taskbar power mod. You can change any image you want with 7zip.

Why are more themers NOT using the theme manager in CM7? I think this is one of the absolute COOLEST additions to CM7 and cant find that many themes that support it.
What gives? It it SO much better than having to boto to recovery and flash every time, and if you dont like it, its SUPER easy to get back.

I still like to flash because I know it's made for my device. Plus, correct me if I'm wrong.. but theme chooser doesn't give you things llike widgets?
I use Sonnys themes here because it gives me a bunch of widgets and apps that are themed.. as well as lockscreens, notification pulldowns.
That said, I wouldn't have an issue applying a theme then pushing the widgets I want, but I haven't found any that are really my style.

I think themers are still unlocking the potential of theme manager. Over the past two weeks I've seen more and more complex themes being released. Personally I love the theme manager and how easy it make to hop from theme to theme.
I'll be keeping my themes flashable for a while still. In order to get them on theme manager, I'd have to re-do everything (again). Also, themes installed through the theme manager app can't modify a lot of things that make a theme look "complete" and I'd rather release a flashable theme that covers all the bases than a theme for the theme manager that only gives you half of it.
I want to implement my icons into a theme, and my questions are:
First question: Does the cm9/aokp (prev cm7 themes) have the capability of theming all application icons, including non-system apps?
Second question: Is there a way to make the theme only apply icons, and nothing else.
My goal is to create a theme that is just icons, due to the limitations of the theme chooser (my understanding is one can only have a single theme applied at once). This way someone could apply my icons, and then install a theme via flashing it, to have the best of both worlds.
Any help would be appreciated, I couldn't find an answer otherwise.

I Googled your question to find out that there's one theme in the play store that is a "cm9/aokp (previously cm7 theme)" they actually say they had to port it to cm9 (read the theme's info on play store), anyway the developer says that the icons come in a separate package -for the moment, IMHO and since these people have promised to have the third party apps in the coming weeks, then it is possible as long as there are people who have already been working on it.
Good luck.
Take a look at the Cobalt, Crimson Cobalt, and Purple Kush themes. They work really well and look good, they also theme 3rd party app icons (I noticed ES file explorer and Google Chrome were themed.) You can look through the apk to see the method of third party theming, i'm sure it isn't too hard with the theme chooser implemented.

Sorry a bit of a Noob to here so bear with me and looking for some advice. I am good with modding my phone and I have done some searching but I wasn't able to find anything about changing the setting menus, pulldown menu colors. I am just getting so bored with the dark color scheme on my note 3 and want something new. I was in the sprint store the other day looking at the LG G3 and its a cool phone and love the themes that they have on their phone and want to mod mine to look like that. I came across a post for putting xposed on a note 2 but didn't know if it would work on a note 3 and was wondering if anyone tried it or can tell me how to go about changing the menu colors and such..
The link to the one for note 2 is here : galaxy-note2.wonderhowto.com/how-to/customize-app-menu-settings-backgrounds-your-samsung-galaxy-note-2-0147944/
but don't wanna go about it and try it if it won't work for my phone.
if anyone can point me in the right direction that would be awesome!
I changed my icons, colours, transparencies, setting backrounds using xposed installer framework and wanam xposed (playstore) all you need is root.

Unfortunately not, xposed framework is needed. Installing is very easy and troublefree. S5 icons and recent apps is a mod by xperiacle and you will find it in this section.
Still can't get it
I still can't change my menus/settings page or anything to the light color scheme. Wanam Holo Light doesnt work when i pick a color. only certain stuff works. anyone know how i can completely change my phones color scheme from the dark to light?
Hey guys, i thought it would be nice to have a little overview of which substratum modules there are to change the icons in our statusbar on oxygenOS.
I found a few ones. If you know some more that work, please write them in the thread and i will add them in this post.
I wont add screenshots since you can see the icons most likely in playstore pictures.
Note: I only tested and can confirm to be working the statusbar options in the themes. Other theming options in the themes like framework might end in bootloop.
So lets start:
ModernUI Theme free
Outline Theme paid
Compound paid
StatusBars Beta free
Battery Icon Mod paid (thx @Xceeder)
Status paid - only mobile signal icon and silent mode icon seem to work
Belo paid (thx @L0cke)
Signal & WiFi icons paid (thx @svandasek)
Substratum Theme Vector paid (thx @Nishidh)
S.i.X Theme free (thx @KpChuck)
Now its your turn guys, let the list grow.:good:

Go to the playstore type substratum and install , easy really then all you have to do is select the items you want to theme for example systemUI , settings , qs tiles , battery etc and install the layers , if you want a full guide then check on YouTube on how to use as always though when messing with system files please make a nandroid backup ...

I tried Belo (paid), which is really nice, but doesn't theme the WiFi icon. Will keep searching for more...

All other icons work in Belo? Then i will add it.

Hello guys,
I am learning to make substratum themes, am pretty successful and I want to make one specially for the statusbar. It would be 100% compatible with non one ROMs like oos.
I have some pretty cool icons already, but I don't have that much ideas anymore
So, if you want, you can post or describe an icon u want to have themed.
I will do it, and publish on play store.
All ideas are appreciated
