I want to implement my icons into a theme, and my questions are:
First question: Does the cm9/aokp (prev cm7 themes) have the capability of theming all application icons, including non-system apps?
Second question: Is there a way to make the theme only apply icons, and nothing else.
My goal is to create a theme that is just icons, due to the limitations of the theme chooser (my understanding is one can only have a single theme applied at once). This way someone could apply my icons, and then install a theme via flashing it, to have the best of both worlds.
Any help would be appreciated, I couldn't find an answer otherwise.

I Googled your question to find out that there's one theme in the play store that is a "cm9/aokp (previously cm7 theme)" they actually say they had to port it to cm9 (read the theme's info on play store), anyway the developer says that the icons come in a separate package -for the moment, IMHO and since these people have promised to have the third party apps in the coming weeks, then it is possible as long as there are people who have already been working on it.
Good luck.
Take a look at the Cobalt, Crimson Cobalt, and Purple Kush themes. They work really well and look good, they also theme 3rd party app icons (I noticed ES file explorer and Google Chrome were themed.) You can look through the apk to see the method of third party theming, i'm sure it isn't too hard with the theme chooser implemented.

Why are more themers NOT using the theme manager in CM7? I think this is one of the absolute COOLEST additions to CM7 and cant find that many themes that support it.
What gives? It it SO much better than having to boto to recovery and flash every time, and if you dont like it, its SUPER easy to get back.

made a whole thread out of it to get more attention,

I still like to flash because I know it's made for my device. Plus, correct me if I'm wrong.. but theme chooser doesn't give you things llike widgets?
I use Sonnys themes here because it gives me a bunch of widgets and apps that are themed.. as well as lockscreens, notification pulldowns.
That said, I wouldn't have an issue applying a theme then pushing the widgets I want, but I haven't found any that are really my style.

I think themers are still unlocking the potential of theme manager. Over the past two weeks I've seen more and more complex themes being released. Personally I love the theme manager and how easy it make to hop from theme to theme.
I'll be keeping my themes flashable for a while still. In order to get them on theme manager, I'd have to re-do everything (again). Also, themes installed through the theme manager app can't modify a lot of things that make a theme look "complete" and I'd rather release a flashable theme that covers all the bases than a theme for the theme manager that only gives you half of it.
- This theme is for The Classic v0.0.0.4 - Harmony
- Works with Stock Harmony Sense, Stock GB Launcher included in Harmony, or senseless with any 3rd party launcher YOU the user prefer. I recommend GOLauncher EX, and the GO DEV Teams highly customizable suite of apps(GOSMS Pro, GOContacts EX (includes GODialer EX), and the GOWidgets of your choice.) However IF you choose to use the GO suite of apps I recommend purchasing the SENSE theme (for $1.00 on the market) for your launcher, the Green GLOW GOwidgets Theme (for $1.49), LIME GREEN NEON theme for GOContacts/Dialer EX BlackMinimal Theme for GOSMS Pro(also free on the market) and Using Factory Widgets Sense Analog clock, which is free and has tons of themes to D/L right from the app for free, you can change all the colors of the Numbers and other info on the clock. Or you can purchase Fancy Widgets Unlocker and use all the great Themes it has to offer with animated weather and themeable weather icons etc.
- The lock bar is not themed. I recommend using one of the ZipThemer mods from the MODS&THEMES section for The Classic, white or green or whatever you choose as it comes stock still red Classic text on the lock bar
- The bootanimation included in the zip is broken, Delete it and add the one included in the download section here(it works finally)
- There is a themed HTC_IME included for download here that matches the theme if you choose to use it.
- I will add a wallpaper section at a later date as well besides the one that will be posted along with the theme for download
I do not own or profit from any of the paid themes I've recommended they are just my personal recommendations as they are what I use on my phone personally. As always I'm not reliable for what you flash to your phone. Remember to wipe CACHE/DALVIK CACHE, flash and enjoy. The IME_MOD is not flashable just extract the APK and sideload it like any other app. Bootanimation is already renamed just delete the ANDROID_DNA_ and place the spc_bootanimation.zip into SYSTEM/CUSTOMIZE/RESOURCE after backing up or deleting the existing file. I use ES File Explorer to do this, you can use whatever root file explorer you choose tho. ENJOY!
Edit: wallpapers are not flashable just extract and save and the included keyboard is the one with the Google page other keyboard is available upon request I just have to dig it out if the stack of IME's
exciting! Thanks for sharing!
FINALLY
WE ARE LIVE! slow uploads and errors in code slowed me down but its up now, ENJOY!
Looks good I like the green you used.

I was looking at my phone the other day and though I like the "Droid Blue" color scheme throughout the OS, I thought it might be fun to change it up. Is this possible? Easy, difficult, not at all? Does someone know where to find a procedure to do so? I was thinking of going with a red theme instead, just for something different...
Along the same lines, I read somewhere a while back that it may be possible to change the color scheme on Android 4.4 as an added option by Google within the software - can anyone verify this?
As always, thanks in advance!
4.4 is white and black, thank-goodness they got rid of the blue. Also, you should really take a look at the themes on the Play Store...
Thanks as always for your replies, it's to the point where I await your responses to my posts/questions in the RAZR HD forums
About the themes in the Play Store... Do they typically work with the stock OS / launcher, or do I have to install a different launcher for certain themes I find (as in the Red Light GO Launcher, for the GO Launcher EX app)?
I was also reading recently about the "Themer" (app?) in one of the threads here at XDA - any experience?
Most of the themes require a theme manager. However, you can use Xposed to install themes, if you're rooted. I haven't messed around with Themer or Go Launcher much. Most of the "themes" you can install on a launcher are only icons. The theme manager changes the entire look, just look at some of the themes for CM that are on the Play Store, you'll see what I mean. Xposed has a module that allows you to modify the themes and use them on most ROMs.
Was trying to look for a theme that has a transparent background for notifications and toggles.. trying to find something with no root envolved.
I wish

I think it can happen, just make a theme that has transparent values for notification backgrounds (if alpha values are valid on it) , but it will look weird and a lot of ghosting can occur.
The thing is themes like that can never have theme store release. (coz official theme editor won't allow that kind of modification or alpha editing on notif. bg.)
I really miss the 'old school' themes that were black and blue with glass or transparency effects, nowadays most themes seem to be bright whites or pastel colours or dull material themes hmm

Yeah, true. Me and my team developing themes for a long time we can do 95% full themed on any devices with themestore incl notifications, icons..email, themestore, live lockscreen ect. STE (Samsung theme editor ) that's fun for the started themer and it's regular Samsung theme store stuff... Most codes u have to added manually also bg, png, 9-patch and so on...
It's take many hours...[emoji1]

In guessing Google Apps will never be themed either
Hi guys, I tried some themes but they never theme my keyboard. I'd like to know if there is a theme for that ?
Also, I use quickpic as my main gallery app, and since I've applied my themes (it's a mix of 2 themes) the titles of the folders on quickpic are purple (instead of white). I don't know what element of the theme cause that and it's very ugly. I didn't choose any purple color accent in the themes or the UI.
Does someone know about that?
Thanks?
