Need help locating the Contacts database on my phone with all of the contact information.
On my phone it is actually called "People".
I want to use SQLite to globally modify Add, Edit and replace data. I sure hope this is doable. When I imported my contacts from Outlook I discovered how unconventional the android list format is. The table structure is modified for each record it seems like a custom record for each contact.
Not a problem if I can find it.
Anyway Im new to Android any help find the path to the database would be greatly appreciated
Regards
Robert

Is there a way to get WM6 to ask you if you want to save a number to contacts when you dial or receive a call from a number that isn't already in there?
I've had a bit of a search, but can't find any relevant info!
in the call history list, you can click to get the option to save the number into a contact (existing or new). but it's not a automatic prompt like you're requesting.
Thanks. I knew I could do that, it's just my old Sony Ericsson used to do this and I found it quite a useful feature. Does anyone know if there are any programmes that will do this?
Hello!
Anyone found any program that make this function?
I have yet to purchase a mobile handset for this task but I am looking for the best Handset/OS/App combination to run a mobile phone and collect all the missed call numbers from it by uploading the missed call list onto a PC and placing the list into a database file.
The numbers will all be unknown numbers not programmed into the phone as contacts.
Would really appreciate any advice on this topic.
All the best.
Best Android Fans,

I have played for some time with the app "LDAP sync" but I do not filter the data correctly.
I did it succeeded to get all domain users added but I only want the users of a specific organization unit.
Anyone have any ideas for this problem? Or another solution for what I want.
Thank you!
Hi there,
I want to merge some chat history from contacts, which has changed their mobile numbers.
In the internet I found a solution with editing the SQLite Database (search and replace old and new number), which almost works really good for me.
But on one contact I've always a broken database error after activating WhatsApp with the new database.
I think here it is a little bit more compicated, since there are more tables affected (messages, media_streaming_sidecar, messages_links, messages_quotes and frequents).
The first are no problem, but what about the table "frequents"?
Or is there already a tool, which can merge the chat histories?
Thanks for your help,
Shadow128
You can clear the 'frequents' table, it's just your most used contacts.
Hi there,
I've several contacts, who changed their phone number and now I've two chat historys.
So I want to merge both historys to the new number.
I know from the past there is a possibility to edit the database with SQLiteBrowser, but I can't remember the commands.
Or maybe there is a simple tool, which can automatically change all related stuff from old number to new number?
Hope that maybe someone can help me
Thanks and best regards,
