(Q) How to easily upload missed call list to Database file - General Questions and Answers

I have yet to purchase a mobile handset for this task but I am looking for the best Handset/OS/App combination to run a mobile phone and collect all the missed call numbers from it by uploading the missed call list onto a PC and placing the list into a database file.
The numbers will all be unknown numbers not programmed into the phone as contacts.
Would really appreciate any advice on this topic.
All the best.

Add contacts with category in one go

Hi all,
I'm not sure whether I missed something, but I find that I can add a phone number to Contacts from wm6 call history. However, it don't have the category field in the add contact form. And therefore I have to run my Contact manager (PocketInformant) to assign the category for this contact again. This is quite clumsy to me. Is there hack (on registry)/ any plugins that can helps?
Many thanks!

Wildcard in caller ID

Is it possible to have wildcard in caller ID?
The questions is, our company has around 100 outgoing lines, all of them look like this: +1(321)123-45xx, the xx means any number from 00~99. Whenever anyone call out from inside company, the PBX system will call out using anyone of available numbers within the range.
So, on the cell phone side, I want to match all above 100 numbers to my company's name (by add it in Contact), that means no matter which number people calling from our company, the Caller ID screen always display our Company name, instead of the number only.
Of course I could enter all those 100 numbers into several Contact entries, all of them with my company name, however, my clients' companies also use same technique, and it's not practical to create multiple contact entries for multiple companies!
Thus, is it possible to introduce some "Wildcard" into the caller ID mechanism? like +1(321)123-45** in the phone entry, then anything number from this range of number will display the same name?
Is there a program or setting for Android?
Thanks in advance!
Not sure of any native way, but you can see if a phonebook app will let you do it. There is an app called phonebook 2.0 which is kinda nice, not sure if it allows it though. This is a good idea for an app though, it could intercept calls and feed it to the incoming call screen, might delay you receiving calls, however.
still no news on this?
I'm very interested in this topic, especially because I am getting quite a few ad-calls from similar numbers.
I am surprised this is not implemented yet.
I am also interested in this. I have been searching around the internet for a solution but I haven't found any solution. Anyone figure out how to add a range of phone numbers to a single contact without having to add every number manually?
Very good idea. Someone solved it?

[Q] Call Blocker?

Is there one that'll add an extension to your call history log and allow you to block numbers through there? I don't wanna have to copy the number and then open another applications and paste the number in there... Maybe if the application had an additional call history of it's own would be good too.
I liked Panoramic Phone Genius because of how easy it was to block numbers, but it ate up too much space and memory for me and my liking...
I'm just looking for a simple or advanced call blocker that I don't have to copy the number and then add it to a list, but I can just make a gesture or click and block a way right then and there.
Thanks

Yup! Download the app called Phone Warrior, Not only will it tell you who is calling, it auto blocks spam calls, and you can flag new ones that have not been by the users yet. Its crowd-based and kickass.
Truecall can do this as well. Needs a data connection for real-time identifying of incoming calls, but that's to be expected
Save company name in the suffix.
It's puts a comma between the full name and the company name in your contact list and for phone calls
App named caller informer was doing this. Show any info from your contacts card.
It doesn't work with new Android versions.
Is there any other app can do this?
This app works. Can show any info from address book and even can add notes.

SMS app to combine conversations from the same contact in the same chat window

Hy there,
I hope I posted where I should and if I didn't please tell me the correct section where I should do this. Also, I am not a developer, I do not have root on my phone. I do not want solutions that require changing XML files or anything. I am just asking about an app that I could find in the Play Store, or, maybe, and apk to download (this being the second option)
I have a problem with the messaging app since I left my HTC One S for the Nexus 5X in June 2016 and I did not find an app to replace that, not even on my current Oneplus 5T.
So, I have a contact in my phonebook saved with multiple numbers - work / mobile / home etc. and she texts SMS from either of the numbers (doesn't really matter because they are included in the carrier plan as unlimited). But my messaging app is sorting those SMS as different entries by phone number, and not by contact. So if we start a conversation in a chat window based on the home number, the answer may end up in a different chat windows (she has a dual sim phone so it depends on the settings on which is right now, and because the SMSs are "free", she tends to not look at which carrier is using, because, why would you if they are all free?), but this actually disrupts the logical flow of the conversation.
I know that a such app exists because I used it on HTC One S in 2012 and I was able to send SMS to which number I wanted to select (home / mobile / work of the same contact from the phonebook) and I had all the conversation in only one place, but after I changed on Nexus 5X and now on OnePlus 5T I can not find this feature in the installed app messenger (Google's or Oneplus's), neither on Google searches or specialized websites. I have tested some of the SMS apps, looked for settings, but all of them seem to show the SMSs based on the phone number, and not based on the contact entries.
Can someone suggest an app that could do that? Maybe I didn't search good enough.
P.S. The MMS option to send grouped messages is not an option because this means I will send the same SMS to multiple numbers, but those numbers are of the same person so there is no need to do that ...
Thank you very much for Your answer.
