You should be fine with this one (common Europe KK 4.4.2),
Blur_Version.176.44.1.falcon_umts.EURetail.en.EU

There is no german language in the dual sim versions.
But you can try "morelocale 2" to get at least installed apps back to german.
I have a xt1032, running 4.4.2, on t-mobile, so I think it's a GSM model. Should the system version read 174.44.1.falcon_umts.AWSRetail.en.US or 174.44.1.falcon_umts.Retail.en.US?
I had to restore the firmware at some point and I'm wondering if I installed the wrong one? What does the 'AWS' part mean?
If you have an XT1032 Moto G, then your phone is not compatible with AWS. XT1034 is the AWS model.

Thank you for the reply. I have reached my 'thanks' limit for the day so I will hit the button tomorrow
So I just purchased the 1st Gen G for an incredible price off Craigslist tonight and seeing as I'm not a card-carrying AARP member I would like your help in figuring out which Retail US firmware to flash.
Been reading [GUIDE] Moto G - Restore stock firmware and scouring the firmware downloads for Retail US XT1034 but am left scratching my head, especially in regards to the file names in the second firmware source link.
Would someone point me in the right direction?
Oh, and service will be provided by AT&T if that matters.
Also just to confirm: I don't need an unlocked bootloader to flash stock firmware?
Bonus: Any danger in flashing stock retail firmware on a carrier-branded device?
Don't want to brick this wonderfully cheap device.
Thanks XDA!:good:

Wanted to bump this as it got kicked off the main page...
Any help appreciated.

From what I've seen, you do need the unlocked bootloader. Just try it on the motorola site.

Incorrect, those firmware images are supposed to be flashed on locked devices by engineers before being sold. That is why some images are carrier specific. Also you will get a 'preflash validation' error if you have updated to 4.4.4 and then try to flash a 4.4.2 image.
@ZHXS, you can flash any XT1034 firmware you want without fear. Latest 4.4.4 images are posted in this thread: (actually look through thread)

There is currently no 4.4.4 Retail US XT1034 firmware image. You can flash Retail Canada for now.
my sister bought this device for my uncle from consumer cellular. it says xt1032 but in the battery it says xt1034. also the latest update is 4.4.4. how do i upgrade to lollipop?

Here is the official Motorola Moto G firmwares for every variant of it - http://sbf.droid-developers.org/phone.php?device=14
Hello friends. I have a question. Is correct flash the firmware XT1557 model on XT1556 model. Unfortunately I possess the XT1556 model, which long ago not updated, however the model XT1557 if it is constantly updated and given that both are Turbo edition (Merlin) wanted to ask if I can flash the firmware of one over the other without my device is damaged, lost signal or get some brick. Thank you very much for your help
Hello,
According GSMARENA they differ 3G and 4G bands only:
http://m.gsmarena.com/motorola_moto_g_turbo_edition-7743.php
So I think you can use XT1557 custom ROM on XT1556 but you must flash XT1556 radio after.

Suggest some custom rom for XT1557
and stock firmware?
you talket about custom rom, but I want install 6.0.1 indian (xt1557) on 6.0 brazilian (xt1556), can I?
It's really needed flash radio? because I saw that xt1557 have all frequency bands of brazil.

Changing the radios does not change the supported bands of the device, that is locked far deeper in the device than we can access.
I would strongly suggest not trying to switch stock firmware, although you can try... as far as custom ROM's go, just stay on the latest stock radios, they are tuned properly to your device, switching to XT1557 radios could have negative effects at worst, at best they would be exactly the same.
