Does anyone have any idea what these event wakelocks are? They are draining a lot of battery, and as you can see from the screenshots, my battery appears to be substantially worse than everyone else's. I'm not exactly a power user either!
I'd appreciate it if someone could help me out with this.
Here are some screenshots: https://plus.google.com/photos/+LewisLebentz/albums/6047049438489245601?sort=1
I have included pictures of the built in battery page, on screen time, awake time and a screenshot from WLD.
I have them too. But only recently. I'm on PA beta 2, AK stable Kernel 30.
As you can see Android os is eating away the battery.

I have them as well. No idea what they mean though. On Mahdi + Franco.
Trying out AK, getting them on here too. All kernel wakelocks
Guys, wakelocks are normal and needed. There are times when they are excessive though. I think bacon-599 has a better discussion on battery drain than worrying about a few minor wakelocks. 10 minutes in a few hours isn't that bad.

I don't think so. Not sure what the issue is.
Oh BACON-599 refers to issue 599 on cms issue tracker where bacon is the device specific project.
Issue tracker is at jira.cyanogenmod.org

CPU usage? Mine varies. Normally around 3% to 15%, but sometime it goes up to really high 60% - 80%, and that's when the phone is supper laggy, reboot time. It used to do that a lot in ICS but rarely in JB. I'm running AOKP JB Aug 26 nightly.

Okay excellent! Mine is 11% now I'm glad my numbers are close to others. It does however spike up to 60-70% at times...not sure why. HUGE battery drain sometimes and I've done the clean flash and all...
I'm going at about 12% right now...
actually I wanted to know if anyone had a problem like this before. I had an app for football news and it's never done this before but it spiked up to 80% the other day and it was killing my battery, so i had to uninstall it cause it wouldn't stop lol. anyone ever have this happen before?
I have been running CleanRom 3.0 for about 7 months now and have been getting great battery life. For the last week or so I have been getting horrible battery life and i cannot figure out why. I have not done anything different or added any apps since the fall. I have done all the tips and tricks to saving battery ....display set at 10%/30 seconds, All notifications turned off, gps off, bluetooth off etc... I can usually get an average of 22 hours before needing to look for a charger.
Today:
10.5 hours and 12% left. Not even 2 hours of screen time. I have phone forced on 3g and get good reception at my home where I was for most of the day.
Can someone please give me some insight here? maybe I'm missing something??

Maybe your battery itself.
There are far to many variables that play a part in battery life.
Look into 5.6 and remember to toggle off data and WiFi when not in use.
Worth a try.
Edit: now I clearly see you toggle WiFi and data off when not in use. Haha sorry.

Agreed, try changing kernel or kernel settings, gov types, speeds, tweak options.
Sometimes it take alot of trial and error to figure out the best rom/kernel combos. May also have to change a few things in the rom and/or kernel to do so. Goodluck!
You can try an app call "Better Battery Stats"
Hi all,
I've been looking to get a Nexus 5, but one of the things I've heard is that the battery life isn't great. What sort of battery life do you guys get? Have any of the updates improved it?
Thanks in advance.
Battery life has always been good for me. Most "battery problems" are network signal related.
I use a custom kernel....

With so many apps, how's your battery life like? Does it take a big hit?
If I install so many apps maybe there will be many running in the background draining battery, right?

I greenify anything I don't want / need running in the background.
Battery life is and has always been great for me on the n5
Edit...before bed...

I cant complain about battery life. It depends like in all phones how you use it. Some may experience *short* battery time because they flipping they phone on all the time I have always most battery consumed by screen.
Hi, I need help on this. It has been days since my battery has gone haywire and I don't know what happened. I just saw that my WIFI isn't turning off even though i toggled itoff in settings/quick settings. I thought maybe a simple reboot may fix it but no. I came from CO12 to Exodus to Bliss but all have the same problems. Wifi isn't turning off! All my settings are stock. Kernels are stock also. I'm getting an average battery life of 3 1/2 hrs SOT which is awful for my usage. Also AndroidSystem and OS is killing my battery but I disabled Google PlayServices which should help. My only concern is the Wifi not turning off. Pls help thanks

Hi.
I use this app wich does only cut on and off the network: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.a0soft.gphone.aDataOnOff&hl=en
(you can also apply a screen filter to help stop battery drain)
But I doubt its your only problem... I tested with and without the app, and the difference is almost not visible. Also, my wifi (when app off) is in third place on battery usage, and I have at least a good 5-6 SOT..

Some people say that it is a common bug in Android 5.0. Can anyone confirm?

The known bug with wifi is not battery drain but the difficulty to connect, to link the network.
I noticed Google Play Services is by far the highest battery user according to my ZenFone 6, e.g. 40% out of 78% was attributed to it:

I know PS provides services for other apps and is not itself the main problem usually but all guides I read told me that it still shouldn't use that much battery. Is this normal or do I have to hunt for a buggy app? And if so, any ideas on how?
TIA

It is not normal, but I don't have installed your apps.
Google Play Services isn't present in my battery statistics at all, because it is probably lower than 1%.
It's a glitch. Mine does it too but I can still pull down a good day of battery sometimes more.
Also phone idle sits near the same as well which is also another glitch that needs to be fixed

Don't get me wrong, I usually still can go two days without problems but it still seems weird for PS to appear to drain so much
For what it's worth and for those who are interested, the latest beta update for PS seems to have fixed it

I face the same problem. How did you fix that.?
I am on Android 9 only without root.
Thanks!
