Hello,
I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 From At&t Its the I747U I believe. I have Hard Bricked My phone By Trying TO flash Android 4.3 Using Odin and it didn't work to hot.
My Phone originally Had android 4.1.1 before I tried Flashing to 4.3. My question is What De bricking File Should I use one for 4.3 or 4.1.1? or What Should I do? Since I'm a Big Noob Any help or links to the right file would be appreciated Thanks in Advance.
My Phone is a
Galaxy S3
SGH-i747 Says in the back But I'm in the US so i believe its the SGH-i747u too since i think its the same thing
its the 16 GB model if it even matters
Another question for the SD Card should i get a Speed 10 with 16GB or 32GB?
Hi,
Since you have more than one question and also, to be sure what to flash....you can ask for help in your device section...
> AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III > AT&T Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
Be absolutely sure you are flashing the files made for your specific device.....otherwise you can permanently brick your device. I'm not sure there's a "u" in your device model just because you are in the United States. Better ask about that for sure.
Good luck!

Sprint Galaxy S4 (SPH-L710)
Followed tutorial at
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2415587
to unlock SIM for GSM.
Experienced some difficulties on MDC flashing back to MF9, especially using links provided in the tutorial.
WiFi stopped functioning, couldn't make calls, and camera stopped working. Decided to switch from Stock to Cyanogenmod to see if it would help.
Used CWM, installed Cyanogenmod 10
WiFi worked again, Camera worked again, pretty much everything functioning normally, except:
Can't make calls, watch videos, do anything that produces or receives audio.
If I try to listen to music, I get errors saying the program is ending, especially saying DSP sound manager has stopped
Decided to try upgrading, upgraded to (currently running) 11-20141013-NIGHTLY-jflte
Android 4.4.4
Baseband: L720PUEMJA
Kernel version
3.4.104-Cyanogenmod-g52b4b50
[email protected] #1
Still can't listen to music, make calls, watch videos, record audio notes, use soundhound/shazam, the list goes on.
Basically, from what I can tell, the software just has no way to access the microphone and/or speakers, and won't allow me to do anything with the phone that uses them. I should add that everything else functions normally: SMS, internet, everything, all function as normal even on a GSM SIM card that I am now using in the phone.
Anyone have any ideas of how I can restore audio functionality to my phone? Obviously I know I did something along the way that affected this, but I'm not sure if it's with the modem, software, etc... Any and all help will be appreciated. If you need any more information I'm happy to provide it.
Hi,
Are you sure it's an L710? Cause that's an S3. If it is an S3 and you flashed anything made got an S4...that could easily explain your issues.
Can you confirm whether you have an S4 or an L710 S3 before I point you in a direction for help?
Thanks!

Sorry, yes it's an S4, SPH-L720.
In a bit of a hurry, so I typed 710 on accident.
To the best of my knowledge, I have flashed all S4-intended software to the phone.
In that case, I would suggest maybe you return to stock with Odin. If you need help, you can ask here,

And here is a very useful thread, your firmware for flashing with Odin is here as well, and much more...

Thanks for your help!
One more question before I begin my journey back into stock ROM/Firmware:
When I return to Stock, do you think I will lose functionality on my GSM SIM card?
I've been reluctant to return to Stock mostly because I'm afraid it will "undo" the GSM/carrier unlock, which is basically the reason I started this process in the first place. I'm Studying abroad currently and for obvious reasons trying to keep the phone functional on a European (GSM) network.
You'd have to ask on the first thread I linked. ?
Thank you. Thread closed.

All US Variants of Samsung Galaxy S3 have been unified as D2LTE. If I recall correctly, AllTel is AT&T frequency user.
Given those two facts, the ROMs for ATT version of S3 called SGH-I747 should work effectively for you. For Ex. The Roms for ATT version do work in fact for Canadian variants.
Please post in Stupid Questions Thread- No Question too stupid! I promise! for AT&T Variant and one of the experts for the variant will be able to chime in.
Finally thank you some one finally respond to my question THANK YOU

So Samsung has released Android 5.0 for all the Galaxy S4 units except for one. The SCH-R970C, which is the Cricket variant of the model.
This is extremely annoying for me, considering I have that model Galaxy S4, and would love to get it updated.
Long story short, can an SCH-R970 official samsung rom work on an SCH-R970C? The SCH-R970 is the US Cellular variant.
I don't know if Samsung/Cricket will ever release it for my model, I've been waiting 6 months for it to land on my phone, but I get nothing.
I have tried rooting and putting non-samsung roms on my S4, but there have always been problems no matter what rom I install. Most have battery issues, with it draining much too fast. Others have wifi issues, but that's probably because the rom didn't support my specific model.

Here is my issue. I got my "new" SCH-i545 (Verizon) and the last user updated it to the latest (Lollipop, OF1) which cannot be downgraded and there are not any root methods from what I heard from. If I was to find another Verizon S4 that hasn't been upgraded (in worse condition and cheaper of course), could I swap the motherboards and then unlock the bootloader with everything still working on the phone (camera, screen, antennae etc.) I want to find one old enough that I can use loki on and unlock to bootloader for cyanogenmod.
