I've erased everything but TWRP recovery and fast boot. I need to install an operating system. I can use fast boot or boot into recovery. How can I get an operating system back on the phone?
The closest I've found is cm-11.0-XNPH25R-bacon-signed-fastboot_64GB.zip but I can't fast boot it or any of its components. Says there are no partition tables.
Is there a way to copy a zip file to the system that I can install in recovery?
Use an adb push command to send a ROM zip to your internal storage, then flash it.

I sent a ROM zip to internal storage, but it failed when updating partitions.
Exactly what did you do to bork your partitions?

Erased with TWRP-Dalvik Cache, System, Data, Internal Storage, and Cache.
That's it? That shouldn't bork your partition tables. Which ROM zip did you attempt to flash?

I have tried three: Slim-bacon-4.4.4.build.6.8-WEEKLY-5783.zip, cm-11.0-XNPH25R-bacon-signed-fastboot_64GB.zip, and cm-11.0-XNPH25R-bacon-signed-fastboot.zip
I don't think the last two are flashable in recovery, they're fastboot images. You said you're unable to flash those via fastboot, right?

Yes, I'll download and ADB another rom. TWRP does do some repairs.

I know you said without a pc, but for others who may stumble upon this post, you can also get the img files to load via fast boot flash from here: https://cyngn.com/products/oneplusone/
I'm on version 33r and wishes to update to 38r. Installed xposed framework and the modified lockscreen. Before flashing the zip,i uninstall xposed from the option in the app itself and flash the stock cm keyguard back in. However there is still an error when i flash the 38r zip. Can any kind souls advise?
It's to do with your keyboard. Have you modified it or changed it or something?

Oh i did install this lg g3 keyboard thing also. Didnt know it affects since previous OTAs went thru successfully. Any idea how to solve it? Can i flash the original 33r zip files to rectify it?
Yeah you can but you'll have to wipe probably.

It's best to wipe everything except the virtual sd card.

What information is needed? I used the twrp app to install it.
Like anything that's relevant. Try installing the normal way (with fastboot) instead.

First off, I have searched for this and did not find any appropriate thread. I have a OnePlus 64Gig phone that I have unlocked bootloader, rooted and am running Philz CWM recovery on. I have flashed many roms on this and many other phones and have never had this ongoing error. I can flash roms, gapps and SuperSU without issue in recovery. However, any other type file like a modem or kernel zip file shows the following error: E:footer is wrong, E:signature verification failed, E:Installation aborted.
I can Fastboot flash these files, but cannot get them to load in recovery. I have tried all combinations I can think of. A little more info, I have developer mode, unknown sources, etc. checked also.
Any help is appreciated.
The modem and kernel files are most likely not recovery flashable zips. What are the exact filenames? And where did you get them?

Here are the files. I am pretty sure that the modem file is recovery flashable. The kernel is probably not recovery flashable. I have had the issue on some other files lately like some gapps files.
Thanks for the help.
OPO_L5_alpha-modem-flashable I got this from the BlissPop forum for the OPO. Others have flashed it with recovery, so not sure what is happening.

They do look like flashable zips. It could be as simple as disabling signature verification in the Philz options, if that option exists. Either that or try using TWRP recovery instead.

Yep, I will try that on Philz or move to TWRP. Do you know if it is possible to copy backups from CWM directly over to TWRP?
Again, thanks for the help.

I don't believe backups can be used cross-platform like that. But I could be wrong.
Transmitted via Bacon
I don't think they can be used cross recovery like that, and I'm pretty sure those flashable zips are in twrp format so that's why you get those errors in philz? The kernel will then also flash via twrp just fine.

The zip format is the same across all recoveries, you can flash any flashable zip with any recovery, so that isn't what's wrong.

TWRP fixed the issue. Now, time to see if I can figure out if/how to transfer the backups. Not the end of the world if I can't.
So i am now at CM12, I need to go back to O5Q , When i tried to flash thru a zip i found it was stuck at booting!.
Researched a bit and found that i cannot do it like that i need to flash the fast-boot images of the other build.
But my question is , Is there anyway i can do it without losing My Pictures and Songs?
Last time i lost them and it was a big pain in ass!!
So my question any way i can get to stock without losing internal storage?
Thanks guy's....!

Go to my guide thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2839471
Follow the instructions in section 8, just don't flash the userdata image and it won't touch your internal storage.

You don't need to when flashing the stock images, it's all contained in those.

The same way you root any ROM, flash SuperSU.
