Flush Buttons - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is everyone's volume rocker and power button almost flush? Idk if this is an issue.

They're meant to be.

theyre not hard to press and they are aesthetically pleasing. do you really want giant stickout buttons?

My power button sticks out a bit more than the volume rocker. I do however notice the volume up button sticks out a tiny bit more than the volume down. The volume down is completely flush with the device.

Mine is equal all around. Do you take off your back?

No i have never taken off the back on mine. It was just shipped to me like that.

[Q] On / Off button

Just rec'd my Transformer, but the on/off button seems to be a little loose and I usually have to press it really hard to wake the device. Does anyone have this problem?
define "loose"?
Mine isn't rock solid and yes the button has a decent amount of resistance, or do you mean you have to keep pressing after the click?
It's loose compared to the volume rocker. I don't feel a click... Maybe I'll have to check it out when stores start putting them on display and decide whether or not I should get an exchange.
Thanks for your reply.

Volume button sticking

Just curious, anyone else experiencing this issue? Other members have their volume button fall off (which I could've easily solved) OR their power button issue (which appears to be software related) but for me... my volume button is sticking. The VOL-UP sticks. I just hope it doesn't die anytime soon, how's everyone elses so far? The only really annoying thing is when I want to turn up the volume, it goes all the way up and it keeps displaying the "media/ringer volume" which then I have to press the vol-up again in order to get it out of the way. It'll be a pain if it completely dies though!
No volume/power button issues here.
Maybe it's sticky behind the back cover, have you checked?

Yeah, I checked. I took off the housing and pressed the vol-up itself. I find this irritating. I used to love their build quality but just giving up with them now. Started with the nexus one power button (which I prevented by using the volumes and screen off holding the search buton) issue and it continues! ugh. Now for senny, my volume is slowly dying. Build of the power button and vol buttons, something wrong with my note?

Hey all! Just something bothering me for a bit but I just wanted someone or preferably a few people to check and confirm something that may be a problem with my Note. Is the power button raised lower than the volume buttons? I say this because the volume buttons extrude out further and are more rigid than the power button on my note. To be honest this does make pressing the power button easier, but once again, just checking. This doesn't affect the Note in anyway, just something on my mind. Thanks for any replies!

That's how mine is too.. power button is half the height I'd say.
They are all like that. Obviously part of the design to make it easier to find the volume button, and harder to hit the power button by mistake.

Volume Rocker Somewhat Loose on Pixel

Hello everyone! So when I went to test out the Pixel at a Verizon store, I noticed that the power button felt solidly in place, yet the the volume rocker piece was slightly loose. Later on, I went ahead and bought the Pixel and realized that my buttons were solid. However after only a week of use, I have noticed that while the power button stays in place, the volume rocker wiggles slightly. Is this normal in any of the other Pixel's? Let me know what you think, thanks!

Sure, mine moves a little. It will even rattle if I shake it, but I have to be in a near silent room to hear it. I'm not worried about it in the slightest.

[Q] Power button loose

Hello, I wonder if the power button is loose or if it is a defect, mine can move up,down, left and right.
Sry for English!
it is not a defect, it is fairly mushy.
compared to the volume buttons it feels weird. but I think all u11+es are like this
Ya sometime, if press the button not at the centre. The button will slightly went down one side and the button will wobble. But overall clicking no problem. Really hope not a defective unit.
My power button is fairly stiff. If I put any pressure on it to try and wiggle it it doesn't move. The only time it moves is if I press down on it to turn phone on or off.
My power button does not seem mushy when pressed, but it is wobbly, especially from side to side, up-down almost not at all.
And the volume button much much less wobbly than the power button.
But how is you USB Type -C port ?
When I plug my cable (one from the box) it doesn't seem loose like it will fall out, but it does move on the front-to-back direction of the phone.
So it's not completely stiff. Doesn't create any problems charging or connected to laptop, even if it moves like this.
What's you experience ?
My type C port seems very tight....no moving front and back problem... My button just loose issue it can moving aroind, but clicking is solid.
