Just bought device. Looked through the forum but couldn't find answer to this question.
I want to flash my N8013 with the latest firmware from N8010. As far as I know those devices are nearly the same

I have searched a lot and it seems like for now only the N8000 variant has received the kitkat update. N8010, N8013, and the Korean variant of the device are still on jellybean 4.1. We just have to wait I guess.

Kitkat for N8010 was released month ago. It is available for downloading

Hi,
bought my N8010 last week in Switzerland. There is no OTA upadate, nor from kies for JB. Does anybody know when or if it is coming? Could I root my tablet to intall it manually?

I'm in the USA and got a N8010 from canada.It showed a software update immediately but of course it didn't work.I think the device gets confused when it leaves the designated country even though it is eligable for the update.Follow this guide and you will have the JB XXBLK9 update in no time.I don't know how OTA's work for a device out of it's country code but I think it may have to be done like this every time.Very easy to do,just check the forums when you know there may be a new update.Take Care

Is rolling out slowly .
Root is not required to update .

Hello All,
When I got my Note 10.1 a couple of months ago, it had the stock android version. I checked for software update but it wasn't showing any so I downloaded the samsung german 4.1.2 rom and installed via Odin. Before the update my baseband was N8000XXALI3 and after it became N8000XXCLL1. All went well, but now when I try to check for updates I get a "PROCESSING FAILED" error. I know that it's because the german rom is not officially released for my tablet.
I'm kinda new at Android so please bear with me
How do I know the area of origin of my tablet? I understand I have to flash it with an official rom made for its region. How do I know for sure which one it is?

You have not got the original firmware so codes don't match .

Sorry if this has been asked before. n8010 and n8013 doesn't seem to have any hardware differences.
I have the n8013 model (the one sold on the US, bought it on Bestbuy), but it doesnt seem to get as many updates as the International model.
So here is my question: Can I flash n8010 firmware through Odin on n8013?

Hard to keep up with all of the 8000 series updates but I think it just looks like the 8010 & 8000 have more updates because they have so many different languages.
I don't know but does more updates mean that they have actual made a major advance over another?????? Maybe it just means that the programmer messed something up in that version and they are fixing it????? I don't know?????

I'm asking because n8000/10 might get 4.2.2 or even 4.3 first.
So it would be nice to flash it on n8013 too.
Everything does work normally except the status of the device is no longer normal but custom even using stock rom with no root.

Hi everyone!
I currently own a Samsung Galaxy Core LTE SM-G386F and wonder if there already is a custom rom for this device since the stock rom by Samsung (and especially the Touchwiz UI) is a pain in the ass. I've seen some development for the non-LTE version but nothing for the SM-G386F. I've also opened a device request at Cyanogenmod forums but I can't post the link yet.

It's a 4.2.2 firmware, not kikat.
The versiones 4.3 and 4.4 is fake... The samsung ROM oficial is 4.2.2
see if they show up the developers

Looks like there is zippo development for this device..
is it even worth purchasing?
You can root it, just no custom recovery yet. I love the tablet

Yes it is worth purchasing. I haven't even tried rooting this tablet because of the lack of custom ROM development for this tablet but the stock ROM works great on this tablet, in my opinion. Haven't had any major issues with it at all. I upgraded to this from the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7" WiFi only model and haven't regretted making this purchase at all.
You can go onto sammobile.com to find the stock ROM to download it to your computer and it is flushable via Odin.

My installed stock firmware is T330NU_4.4.2_0032
I can not find that firmware on Sammobile... No US based firmware, only Canadian based..

That looks like its for a LTE model not the Wifi version
The current rom on my device is T33NUUEU1AND4
That would likely not work, and is not rated for this device..
I don't want to risk flashing a ROM for another device

Actually that is the wifi version. Sammobile typically lists the US wifi version as Cellular South. No idea why.
The NK1 means it is newer than your ND4.

I'm assuming its likely ok to install the Canadian version which is T330NUUEU1ANK1, but I'd rather wait for the official US version.. rather than install another functional yet not US version.. This tablet now has an unoffical TWRP port which works well.. So I have a working Nandroid back up which is based on the original T330NUUEUAND4 Firmware....

the firmware T330NUUEU1AND4. I took the
System OTA update and the firmware was changed
to T330NUUEU1ANK1. Later I was able to root it
and installed TWRP 2.8.2.0.
