Hi, XDA community!
I would like to introduce new Facebook client: Atrium for Facebook. Its clean, cutting edge UI design combined with blazing fast performance make Atrium one of the best Facebook apps currently available for Android.

Configurable data sync scheduled to the next week release. Push notifications feature is also scheduled. Will do my best to release it next month.

Also another thing, can you make it work so that when i exited the app, it will automatically close its program? Or an option in settings to make this work?

Looks good, but I can't see an option to disable gps. Like in oryginal app gps still looking for satelites. I'm using facebook app in bed or in bath so it's unnecesary battery draining, there is no satelites view in my bathroom

Thank you for your feedback. GPS is only used in Atrium for Facebook when you perform a checkin. In case you see gps icon blinking in the status bar and Checkin screen is not opened, it means gps is used by a different app. Please send me a private message and we will look into it

Just downloaded, will be keeping my eye on the progress of this app. Far better than the official app. Keep it up dev.

Thanks for your answer,
I checked it again, and it's strange...
I cleared data and cache for atrium, put icon on my home screen and...
first run, gps icon started to blink immediately after run Atrium, next I connected with facebook (icon still blinking)...
I touched "back" button to go to my home screen and gps icon immediately stopped blinking.
again started Atrium from notification and no gps icon active.
I tried few times and sometimes running Atrium turns gps on, sometimes not.

because it not hurts
Every day I'm using navigation software, and don't want to turn gps on and off few times every day.
It can remain on, until application don't want to use location gps is on but inactive.

I've checked this issue and it looks like it is your system specific... at least I was unable to recreate such app behavior on all my test devices I would recommend using approach suggested by LordManhattan, or trying LBE Privacy Guard software that can limit access to GPS service for all your apps you don't need GPS for (this solution requires rooted device).

I've downloaded and installed the Theme without any problems, but when I applied it - nothing has changed. I'm using stock Android, no root, stock Home Launcher. any idea why it's not working?

yeah, looks like - after applying the theme, and returning to homescreen, it refreshes (like reloading everything), but nothing really changes.

Hi everyone, I have a simple question that bother me a bit. If I remember correctly, when I used for the first time this phone, I saw a black little banner at the top of the screen for an incoming call, like the ones for the notification s. Now, when I'm using it and I receive a call, there is no banner at the top (useful if I don't want to answer the call and keep doing my stuff), instead the call appear in the whole screen.
There is a way to add this banner for an incoming call?

That is called heads up notification. Did you change something in Settings?

Unfortunately yes. When I bought the phone I started to modiy different settings and now I can't put it back.
Probably is in the notification menu, notification settings and there I should find the phone app where I could activate the banner option, but there is no phone app..

i don't have the honor 8 but if u have this option | notification manager | into settings so u might edit that . if u was having the banner heads-up u should be able to retrieve it back .
otherwise wait me for the next 10 day until my honor 8 arrive :laugh:

i used EMUI 1 day only then i start playing roms lool !

There is an option for the heads up notification under settings --> notification and control panel --> notification centre. From there you can modify different apps for the heads up notification, the lock screen notification and the status bar. I have this option for many apps such as what's app or Facebook, but there is no phone app. That's the main problem! And I remember at the beginning, when I had this phone for the first day, I could answer a call from this heads up notification. I also tried to turn all the listed apps on but without success.

I'm using the EMUI 5.0 beta, so it could be different. If it's not there try Settings -> Apps -> ... (at the bottom of the screen) -> Show system processes -> Dialer (scroll down the list to find it) -> Notifications. I remember that being the same in EMUI 4.1.

Ok, it's the same in EMUI 4.1. I find the process and, sadly, the notification "banner" is on.
I also discover when i'm watching a video on youtube or with the player video, the call actually appear in the pop-up notification, so maybe it work for every devices like that. Now i'm curious if it is the same for your phones. Do the pop-up notification appear only when you are watching a video and if u are doing different stuff it appear at full screen?

Unless the app that is sending the notification is the one running if you've got banners turned on you should see them.

it should appear all the time while u r using any app running to not force u to answer so u can ignore it ! .
All EMUI Versions 3,4,5 having same thing ! ..

Mate 9 notification badges issue?

Hi all...I have a question around notifications icon badges...
I have literal just moved (yesterday) from a Samsung where i received a notification on facebook / messenger / instagram etc the badge icon on my homescreen used to alert me to the number of notifications i had... i cant seem to get this to work on my Mate 9... am i doing something wrong..?
I maybe dumb or slow if that is know to be a problem and cant be changed.

in my case it works for some apps like facebook, whatsapp, all stock apps but does not work forsome apps like gmail, instagram or linkedin havent messed to much with it yet but I'm guessing it has to do with some permissions on notifications. I'll update the thread when i do more testing over the weekend

Facebook is the one that definitely doesnt work for me... which is kinda annoying...

In Chinese version I don't have Facebook either... There are all there (Messenger, viber, whatsup, Instagram etc) except Facebook... Very weird!

This happens to international version too... There is no Facebook, Gmail, Twitter, Google+, hangout and some others

Do your counts get goofy? I was using it a few months ago and it wouldn't update the counts properly so I removed it. Curious if they've fixed it.

in the same menu in the launcher , you have to option to switch to notification message, in which case it will show a notification dot on the upper corner of the app that has a new notification and there you will find all of your apps,including facebook and gmail.that is if you like the notification dot instead of the number of new notifications....for me it works,i mean i don't care if i have 1 or 9 unread email messages, so as long as it shows the new notification dot is ok.

[App] Edge Lighting fix for all Apps (ACTUAL Edge Lighting)

Get actual Samsung Edge Lighting Notifications with any app while your screen is off!​
Since we all know Samsung only did half the job with this feature, this app will enable you to trigger Edge Lighting (the real one !) when your screen is off. It works with any app by reading the app notification creating a new temporary notification that triggers edge lighting (you won't notice it in your notification list).

So far so good, for the first time I got the notification for Gmail while the screen was off. Great job, I will be testing it thoroughly.

Nope, tried to find how to do that from the Edge lighting configuration panel but didn't find. Any clue?

When you choose your edge notification style, you should be able to pick a color. Set it as custom and add filters from notification titles (which are the source apps names the way they are displayed in my app)

---> Edge Screen
----> Edge Lighting
-----> Edge Lighting Style
------> Pick your style then Color
-------> Custom Color
Here there will be an option "By text": Enter the name of the source app as displayed in my app and pick a color.

Works good so far, however, there is no app icon on the notification (generic android icon on gmail), also there is a ": nul" append at the end of text.
Device : S10+ (G975F/DS)

Before I set up like above, notifications were waking up my screen. How would I go back to that option?

For now, no I just implemented a basic Samsung Edge Lighting notification, so you got what they designed.
I will see how I can make the notfication repeat at a fixed interval set by the user. I'm just afraid it will be extremely battery hungry.

With my app, notifications shouldn't wake your screen up but give you an edge light.
When you get in the menu for custom color, you have to allow my app ("Edge Lighting for all Apps") to send Edge Lighting notifications.
Edit: do you understand that Edge Lighting will prevent notifications from turning the screen on but instead display some kind of edge light while keeping your screen off?

Yeah, all of this is tomorrow's work!
Yesterday: learn Android environment and set the notifications
Today: learn how to get and make list of apps and how to set preferences
Tomorrow: make it look good!
Im not seeing the ":nul" however, where exactly is it?

OK thanks. It would be interesting to add that option. Does the goodlock edge light work? So is the LED only activated around the camera?
