probably knocked the screen connectors loose? without looking at it its hard to say. Download my mobiler on your pc and connect your phone to see what your ppc is doing and backup anything you need too, then get it repaired.
I bought a lg vortex and it worked great i rooted it with z4root no problems at all
that was intill i did a flashclockrecovery and it turned off and now is stuck at lg boot logo!
i have no clue how to fix it i called lg they said to send it in so the can reflash the rom software to the phone and i was thinking i could do that my self any one know how to do this?
any advise would be great!
How can you get it to recovery mode? so there for i can install the software with the lg updater tool to the phone.?
(if these makes a diffrence it the same exact button layout of optimus "t" an "s"
buttons just look diffrent !)
I also performed the same steps, and am now stuck at boot screen. The hard and soft reset methods do not work. Phone does not connect to pc, I have even tried an LG flashing application...but still could not detect the phone via usb. Any advice?
I have found one solution and fixed my phone which btw was the only solution to this mess :/
Little Help
I am having the EXACT same issues that you described. Could you please tell me how you got it fixed. I've tried everything I can think of.
Here is the thing, the LG Vortex has no support for hacking right now. You can only root the device.....no overclocking, roms ect. as of yet. So before I sadly explain how I fixed the issue....do not make the same mistake twice. Z4 root does work, both perm root and temp root. Anything beyond that, sorry. I bricked my phone just like you. Sadly you are screwed buddy. I came up with the bright idea of totally frying my phone so that Verizon does not know the root process had taken place (void warranty). I cut a dc adapter up stuck both ends on battery terminals for phone....after battery was out and flipped the powerstrip on and bam...fried phone. The low voltage like that is safe so dont worry. I would advise using a powerstrip instead of physically plugging the ac adapter in. Take phone back and say it suddenly stopped charging. SAY NOTHING ELSE, NO APPS FROM MARKET, NO PC HOOKUP OR ANY DATA PLACED ON PHONE. If you do by chance get shocked from doing this.....stop your crying its 12volts.
by the way, dont leave any root programs on your sd card...as verizon will want all the original items back for a phone exchange. Also ya know make sure you did indeed fry it.....I double checked and first time it didnt do it. If you put batt in and phone does not come on at all....then it worked. Just make sure those wires are not touching eachother so much as seperate connecters where the battery touches ya know. If you just touch wires together, powerstrip will pop/lil sparks on wires or you may pop a breaker. But them little dc adapters I do not think can pop a breaker. Just get an electricity flow through the phone and it will fry.
Doodie
I really appreciate you taking the time to give me a heads up on that stuff. I've been afraid that it was bricked. Just to clarify, what do you mean by dc adapter? I've been having nightmares of verizon finding out that i tried to root it from seeing something on that internal memory, so I'm really glad you went into that. So, I know how to remove everything from my sd card and/or reformat it if need be, but i'm confused about exactly how to use the "dc adapter" to baby buzz this thing into amnesia.
Thanks alot for the help,
T
I placed the wires from the DC adapter on the the little terminals where the battery touches. I wouldnt recommend doing this beyond the 30 day warranty period fyi.
can anyone help me? im a newbie in the modding phone scene but im a very apt pupil. i recently rooted my A.T.T galaxy note3 sm-n900a. after rooting my phone i went and put safe strap on it to make sure i was following precise directions plus titanium. With me being new at this and shelling out a small fortune to me for this new phone i wanted to just unlock its full potential and put a good daily driver rom on my phone at first to keep it simple and safe .didnt want to brick my brand new phone. then if that worked out well try looking around for a more suitable rom for what i want to use it for(which is mostly gaming).well i installed my first rom after rooting my phone everything looked to be going great the first 12 to 15 hrs then it happend and when i say it i dont really know what IT is. i went into safe strap to change my rom to another newer rom and the screen started going crazy with green lines boxes flickers all over it. I immediatly shut it down to save it from further damage so i thought.now when i try to turn the phone back on the screen flickers but wont come on . I can feel the phone working thru haptic feedback and hear the swipe sounds in the speaker but no picture at all can anyone please help me. I dont think its major i just need some help figuring it out.
Hi,
I woke up yesterday to find out my Nexus 5 screen was not displaying properly. The only possible clues I have to what may have caused this are either:
1. Magnet damage from my laptop after leaving the phone on my laptop all night
2. The drop the night before. It was barely a two-foot drop that was not so bad. I'm hazy on whethe I looked at a good screen display after the drop.
I doubt it's a software issue because I also tried a factory reset and it's the same. Besides, even the bootloader is distorted. Just in case, I am running Android 5.1.1.
Please can anyone help me figure out what might be the issue hee and if I need to replace the screen?
I'll also need info on recommended places to order a new screen online, preferably, an Amazon seller.
I have attached images.
Thank you. Cheers

Yap, same thing happens to me... It seems that MY problem was the logic board.. But they told me that it's because of damaged bootloader...
When it's clearly not...
Try to send it to LG service center... BUT, to claim your warranty, re-lock your bootloader, reset your tamper data, and flash stock rom
I did something I thought I'd never do. During the Super Bowl I grabbed my phone and pulled the s pen out to write something on the screen while it was turned off and wound up reinserting it the wrong way. As soon as it got stuck a little past halfway in I realized what I did.
In a panic I tried pulling it out and when I saw it was stuck I tried jiggling it, hoping to finesse it a little and coax it out without damaging the sensor. When that didn't work I tried the paper method which worked, or so I thought. The pen came out but the sensor doesn't work now.
I called Sprint but they referred me to Samsung. I called Samsung and they said they'd take it back but if it's rooted the warranty would be voided. Even though I know I'm rooted and running MOAR the status on my phone still says official, as opposed to custom. Based on that, the Samsung person said my phone isn't rooted, but I know it is.
So I don't know if I should Smart Switch back to a stock ROM and send it in, hoping they won't discover it's rooted or if there is another way to fix the sensor myself.
I've seen the YouTube video which proclaims it's an easy fix but it didn't look easy to me. I once replaced the digitizer on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 and it never came on again. I don't want that to happen to my phone.
I know the S Pen getting stuck and damaging the sensor has happened to many others and I'm sure I'm not the first person to do it on a rooted device. Does anybody have any idea's on what should do?

The phone shows official because of an edit to the rom.... if they go into dl mode they will check to see if its rooted
After watching this video from 2012 I'm not sure Samsing has the right to deny a warrant claim on a rooted phone. https://youtu.be/9YcIHaajda8

Samsung fixed it. They either didn't notice or didn't care.
