[Q] Sound (Music Issues) - Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I recently purchased a SM-P905V. Everything was working perfectly fine, I rooted about a week ago and everything was working well after that as well. Yesterday I went to use Slacker Radio and all music and sound function stopped working. After playing around a bit I found that after I restart the tablet, whenever I try to play music in ANY music app (streaming OR mp3) all sounds would stop functioning and even the Sounds section in settings would freeze when I went to select it. Up until that point all regular sounds (system, Youtube, most apps) work perfectly fine but then they stop as well and the system becomes incredibly unstable.
Things I've already tried:
- Uninstalling every App since rooting
- Uninstalling every other app not built in
- Clearing the cache
- Factory Reset
- Unrooting and then Factory Reset
- Factory Resetting and starting with a clean/new Google account (in case it was a setting or something that was backed up to my account)
Does anyone have any clue how else I might fix this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

[Q] Absolutely No Audio/Sound

I just received a replacement GSIII from Asurion. After rooting & restoring from my SD card, I booted and all seemed fine.
However, there is no sound from any app, with or without headphones plugged in. Also, to note, when I try to play music from Google Play Music, I get the error "Unfortunately, DPS Manager has stopped", and behind that Play Music says, "Couldn't play the stream you requested".
Ideas? Thanks in advance...
I figured it out. I'll post it here just in case anyone comes across this random oddity in the future.
I connected the device to my Chromecast and disconnected it. Then everything worked.
When I restored my backup it must have somehow thought that it was supposed to play audio to the Chromecast, but wasn't hooked up to it, so it through an error. Or something like that.
Either way, problem solved.
Well unfortunately I have to revive this thread. The issue is indeed NOT solved.
The sound went out again. After a few hours of trying everything I could think of, I re-flashed back to stock. Sound worked again.
Now I've re-rooted and re-flashed CM 10.2 and sound is gone again. I re-flashed about 3 times now and one time sound worked, but the other two it did not work.
What one earth could possibly be causing this? I verified all MD5 sums before flashing. I've don't too many factory resets/cache wipes/dalvik cache wipes to count, yet still the issues persist.
Please, does anyone have any ideas?

Google play all access issues

Hi guys,
Recently I have issues with Google play all access playing downloaded files. The sound stops, but the time keeps ticking as if it is playing. If I turn the screen off, the music plays fine. If I stream through the same app, as opposed to downloaded music, it's also fine.
I did a factory reset which totally fixed the issue, but came back only a few weeks later.
Short of continuous factory resets, any ideas? This is obviously incredibly annoying.
Other players play local music fine, but as I own very little music, it's all streamed, this wouldn't really work as an alternative...
Thanks in advance!

[Completed] Music plays but no audio (samsung)

I recently downloaded a Samsung Galaxy s6 marshmallow update using Odin. When I started up the phone I signed into my Google account then went to Google play music to find my music and when I clicked on a song it played but no audio. I put on headphones and not even the audio icon appeared. I downloaded sound about to fix that. Then I went to YouTube, watched movies, and went on the Web browser and heard audio just fine. Restarted the phone downloaded other music players and still couldn't hear my music. What happened?
Hi !
This problem can be fixed by cleaning cache and data of the application , sometimes an update can break certain functionalities
If still doesn`t work , save your data and perform a factory reset
Good luck !

Software issues persisting after reset

TL;DR: Audio/video freeze on my phone even after factory reset. Flashing new ROM solves the issue except when I start certain apps which causes it to reoccur until I restart the phone.
I have a Poco X3 NFC and shortly after requesting to unlock bootloader I stared having a bug where whenever I played media (spotify, youtube, netflix, etc), the audio and video would stop/stutter every few seconds. The issue occurred both on speakers and bluetooth. After trying unsuccessfully to solve the issue I factory reset the phone and thought that would be it. However even after a factory reset I was still unable to play videos or music. I then tried the next best thing. I flashed the stock fastboot ROM from my computer using the Mi Flash Tool but the issue still continued.
Thinking it could be a problem with MIUI itself I then flashed TWRP and installed ArrowOS with the Optimus Drunk Kernel which greatly helped performance and battery life. For a little while the issue seemed gone but after opening facebook messenger I started having the same issue. A bit of experimenting revealed that some messaging apps like facebook messenger and the dialer caused the issue to reoccur until I restarted the phone and it worked again.
My only theory is that somehow a low level program like the bootloader somehow got corrupted and causes this issue when my messaging apps are running something in the background (although the issue continues after force stopping those apps). Does anyone have any thoughts on this issue or ideas how I can fix it?

Question Play store crashing when updating apps, anybody else got this?

Hi,
From yesterday when I goto manage apps and device in the app store, go into the app update bit and start any updates Google play crashes.
It still does the updates though.
I've tried updating Google play (it's the latest version). I've cleared cache and data, rebooted and it still continues to do this.
I've never seen this before in years of Android use. Any idea?
Have this going on as well. Wiped storages and seemed OK for a couple minutes, then started doing it again. Looks like this is potentially becoming an issue.
Seems to be fixed now with me not doing anything. I guess some server issue......
