I have a Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 SM-P905, the batteries indicator always shows 100%, no matter whether the new charged when empty power (I use some battery discharger applications), or have been used for hours, its battery indicator remains 100%.
Please help.

Try factory reset
Thanks for your reply!
I forgot to inform you that I had already done a factory reset and the process Recovery Boot with a combination of Power + Volume Down button and choose "wipedata / factory reset" but it did not work; still 100%.
You could also try THIS since I'm out of ideas. Looks like you are not the only one with that kind of problem on android.
Thank you for your reply!
I've done "rooting" with Towelroot, and delete the file "batterystats.bin" (sdcard/data/system), but after rebooting process, the battery indicator still remains in position 100%.
Can anyone help me?
[SOLVED]
After 1 month continuously tablet in a state of "no-battery", ultimately this issue is resolved.
How?

Hi guys, here is my problem, diagnosis performed (thanks to other threads on this forum) and conclusion.
Looking for a peer review to make sure I'm on the right track and not missed anything.
Much appreciated
Issue:
random shut down during regular use
phone outside warranty.
Symptoms:
no warning, errors or app closure before shut down
always a hard shut down. no reboots.
will usually not power up again unless connected to charger
when it does power up without charger, it will almost immediately shut down again
irregular battery % display eg.
-before shut down will show 80%. On power up with charger, will show 55%.-another eg. shut down at 80%. On power up without charger, will show 15% then immediately shut down again. On power up again (without charger) will show 65%
phone unusable. max usage is prob 20min before shut down.
issue coincided with upgrade to Android Lollipop
no signs of overheating or 'lumps' in the back
Diagnosis:
assuming v5.0 upgrade being the cause, waited till v5.0.1 and ugpraded (Without factory reset). problem persists
factory reset to v5.0.1, problem persists.
flashed android kitkat using the image off the android dev site, problem persists.
visually checked power button for any signs of 'sticky button' syndrome but button look and operate as expected
running with most frequently recommended 'battery saving tips' applied
conclusion:
Faulty battery cell. looking to perform something like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VSGNUrpwIno
thoughts?
Change battery?
that was the conclusion. thanks.
Fixed?

I assume that this solved the problem? Was it a difficult replacement/repair? I am having a very similar issue, except is it coincident with (and I'm unsure if caused by or not) an upgrade to Android M (6.0 and 6.0.1).
Tony
Changing the battery in incredibly easy in my opinion. I watched several different Youtube videos and, when I found the clearest one I could, I followed along with the video to disassemble my phone. Having the right tools will help a lot.
the battery level indicator no longer shows battery level and instead only shows a red exclamation mark. resetting the phone doesn't fix the problem. any ideas?
Same issue here ... Plz help
Try downloading the "mobile upgrade q" software from Alcatel and following those instructions to reinstall everything? Download the 5.0.6 version I believe or whatever one is listed for the idol 4 and then select your model number for your phone in the application itself

I have the same problem. I have a Alcatel 60450 idol 3 5. 5 running
6.0.1. When TOTALLY dead the phone will start to charge, then after a while try to boot to charge mode, but just keeps restarting. IF you push the turn on button, it will boot up and work, but upon boot up, or attempted boot up to charge mode, the software immediately disconnects the USB port and all charging stops. The phone can turn on an stay on, as long as plugged in. The red explanation point appears in the battery icon, and 0% appears for charge level and stays at that level. I have REPLACED the battery, but once the software puts up this icon, there is no way I can find to RESET battery communication and charging, once software boots up to either charge boot, or turn on boot. Phone is thus useless. Alcatel only suggests, clear cash or hard reset, which does not work...act like they know nothing, but this is a persistent problem as this is the second phone that has done this to me. Any ideas for a solution greatly appreciated.
Hello all
just before i get started i did have a thread here regarding this issue before but sadly unable to find it now so seems i need to start over....
this is more of an update on what has been done so far but will just give detail about the issue from start
when this phone came to me it was not functioning i have no clue to what the wife done to it.... it appears that it may not be charging and something is stopping it from charging..... the charging indicator is on (( orange )) and the battery will display on screen with a lightening bolt in the center.... if i plug into laptop the laptop will sound off the USB connection and disconnection alert will do that 3 or 4 times
pressing power button will make phone vibrate and will display a battery with the lightening bolt assuming that means battery is flat as a pancake
holding volume up and power button brings me into the recovery option total of 3 options show 1) normal 2) fastboot 3) recovery whatever i select say for example recovery it will display the Asus and powered by Android this will last for about 3 to 5 seconds before going off again
so that is the state of the phone as of now and even after other things i have done as i will mention
in the past i have come across 2 phones with the very same issue the first one i flashed my self that phone only shown a charging indicator light but i found the flash tool and rom from the Alcatel website and it fixed the issue so assuming the same would apply with this Asus also the other phone i had with same issue was fixed with a flash
so here is what i have done so far using SP flash tools and following instructions from different places i have successfully flashed over the Stock Rom done it under download only also format + download and even tried firmware upgrade but i am still stuck with the same thing as mentioned above
obviously after flashing the phone it needs to power up to complete the setup process but as is clear i cannot do that if the battery has little to no juice
so what i am looking for is a solution to getting the phone to charge again or a way to charge the battery by other means (( bare in mind this phone has built in battery )) (( battery has been replaced new ))
what could be causing the phone to not charge or at least give battery the power it needs i ask because i do believe the phone is giving the battery some power but very little..... the way i look at this situation is like installing a sound card on a PC but not installing the driver the PC knows the sound card is there but cannot work without the driver same seems to apply with the phone
if i disconnect the battery from the main board the laptop will not pick up the phone even if i press down on the volume down button as i do when using SP flash and the orange charge light flashes so i don't see the issue being with mainboard but more likely a software glitch maybe the MTK chip is not doing its job properly or maybe it thinks the battery has full charge and stops the charger from adding more juice when in fact battery is flat
so can anyone enlighten me to what could be the problem and a solution
thanks in advance
Hello everyone!
I've had the Huawei Honor 8 for about 2.5 years now, like most other users my battery started to wear out (phone suddenly dying when opening camera/map apps, random shutdowns, taking about 10 mins even to charge to 1-2% etc).
The past few days i haven't been able to start my phone at all, it boots to eRecovery mode were i can choose "reboot" "shutdown" or "download latest version and restore". once or twice i managed to boot it properly but then it didn't charge over 5-6%.
I decided to order a new battery which I've just installed, the phone boots in the same loop and isn't recognized by my computer also the battery light on the front of the phone doesn't light up. Im starting to think that this is more of a software error than a hardware error? any suggestions? note that the phone is in its original state, i haven't flashed it or anything. all help would be appreciated.
While in recovery mode the phone seems to recognize the charger (small battery symbol in top right corner), ive also tried different chargers/cables. this would eliminate any charging port problems i reckon?
have a nice day!
What battery did you order? I hope it is not some Chinese fake battery, this would cause the problem probably.
Yesterday I put my phone to charge over night and when I woke up today's morning I was met with a Black Screen with a status bar and Software Back button, that doesn't do anything. Rebooting in recovery doesn't work (TWRP just stuck on loading screen). I can receive notifications, but can't interact with them. I can Turn on and off Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS etc. through status bar. I can't open Settings or any App. I can't reboot with out removing battery, can't hard reset and if I power off phone from Power menu it won't start again, when I hold down Power button, unless I remove battery.
Some Details about phone:
LG Max x155
Android 5.0.2
Custom AOSP (installed long time ago, never faced this problem)
TWRP 3.0.3.
I searched internet and tried some things:
Rebooting (didn't work at all)
Hard Reseting (didn't work at all)
Removing Battery putting it back and then powering on (didn't help)
Entering Safe mode (didn't help, it shows same issue, though it briefly shows my Home screen before going black)
Doing anything with Recovery, like wiping, reinstalling ROM etc. doesn't work, because TWRP won't load
Some other details:
I am using different charger (but I have used it for several days already). Phone was overcharged over night.
Now I am trying to drain the battery to zero and then charging it again, using my old charger. If it won't help I don't know what can be done.

Do a google search for:
"Return to stock (your model number)"
Then reinstall TWRP, then flash your 5.0ROM and Gapps. Don't forget to factory reset, wipe cache and wipe dalvik cache when you flash the ROM.

I figured it out. My SD Card burnt and caused this issue. I removed it and the phone's fine.
