[Completed] Sudden Errors , Crashes, and SIM no service after new ROM! - XDA Assist

Hello,
I'm currently facing a problem that i've never faced before in my past 3 Nexus 5 ROMS.
2 days ago i installed Cyanogenmod 11 and it worked perfectly fine, although i cannot recall when or how exactly this SIM problem (with like 3 apps crashing on startup) did start occuring, but i'm more than 80% sure an app or modification is causing this, but not the ROM or IMEI or Radio.
I made a nandroid backup and reinstalled the ROM, to my surprise the SIM card worked perfectly and there was service, this is how i made sure that the problem wasn't caused by the ROM.
but..
the problem still persists on the NAN backed up CM 11 the phone is stuck on No Service (won't even say emergency call , even if the SIM card isn't even there) and whenever i try to enable mobile networks in the settings, the whole settings app crashes instantaneously.
however that NAN back up has ALL my important stuff, there are loads of third party apps that i'll have a pain in the arse trying to re-backup with Titanium.
Is there anyway to fix this having known its not caused by the ROM , IMEI nor Radio? I really can't afford restoring 400 apps.....

Hi!
Would be best to ask the experts in the N5 section... Here..
>*Google Nexus 5*>*Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
And in my opinion there is no better way to backup apps than titanium backup. Relying on a nandroid isn't the best option. With tb you can restore individually and what not. Just my opinion.
Good luck!

Myaccount and wifi calling

I froze myaccount and wifi calling with TB but they still appear under running apps. I did it again and rebooted but they still appear under running apps...why?

try this
MAKE BACKUP IN NVFLASHED CWM BOOT UP FIRST!
heres how i solved this problem on 5 g2x phones.
for my account there are 2 copies on phone usually. one you wont see in app drawer. its version 1.0 and it is used so tmobile can remote access your device to troubleshoot. its supposed to be a brand new thing they are trying out (the was told to me by tmobile pda tech support). you will see it in titanium backup next to the other one (my first g2x had both installed, the others had the only version 1.0 installed and not 5.** with it). you may not have 5.** depending.
wifi calling seems to be very intergrated into the phone and it will run even if frozen. though it may not activate, just run in the background. with the new titanium backup 3.8.* you can backup system .apks and not just data. i backed up my account, then froze, uninstalled it (or both depending on if you have both), the after i restarted titanium backup and froze wificalling. then backed it up. after i uninstalled it (THIS WILL CAUSE IT TO FORCE CLOSE/CRASH PHONE). i was able to barely press power off option after holding power button down and tapping quickly/timed between force close windows (LOL). but you may just have to pull the battery.
after reboot, no more wificalling or my account. plus they are backed up with .apks and data as system files in titanium backup if you want to reinstall
reinstalling wificalling also caused same force close problem i think? just reboot after. also i rebooted into CWM after making sure everything booted and worked right and then i went to advanced and fixed permissions.
ive done this on 5 tmobile g2x phones and it worked every time
I haven't flashed cwm yet because there isn't a stable rom, plus I'm still a newbie and want to be sure I know what I'm doing before flashing.
I do have two myaccount's also (both frozen)...
As soon as I flash cwm I'll try that out...thanks bud!

i've tried rebooting the phone, i've also tried unistalling and reinstalling the app itself.

Restore the whole app if you had backed up with titanium backup or similar apps

the only suggestion i could make is, go through the trouble of backing up your apps but not system data, then do a wipe and fresh install.

[Q] Nexus 5 won't connect to Google Servers over

I have recently been encountering an error on my Stock, 4.4.4, rooted, Nexus 5, in which the phone won't connect to Google servers over cell data (the signal is fine and every thing else works but the signal icon stays orange). I factory reset my phone yesterday and everything was working fine, however today, the problem is recurring. I have restored my apps from a Titanium Backup.
Is it possible that an app is causing this problem? (If so is there a way to figure out what app)
What are some other possible causes and solutions to this problem?
The only reason I want this feature is so I can locate my phone if it goes missing I can locate it, but will this error effect anything else?
Lastly I am very sorry if this is in the wrong topic area, this is my first post on these forums.

[Completed] Pre-installed Chinese contacts in my Huawei G6

Hello All,
I bought a dual sim phone Huawei G6 a few days ago. The problem is that it came with some pre-installed Chinese phone directory, which come up every time a dial a number and that's very annoying. I found out that they are connected to my Contacts and Contacts Storage apps. I tried to do everyting with that: getting root access, using Titanium Backup, Root App Delete and so on for wiping up data (only my own desappeared), freezing, backing up and restoring without data but nothing worked.
Tried to download alternative Contacts versions for dual sim, but the system rejected them and I could not input any data there
Titanium Backup clearly shows that there are pre-installed contacts in the Contacts app.
Is there any way I can get rid of them???
Please help!!! It's a new phone and I m planning to use it for some time. Do I really need to have all these Chinese phone numbers in front of my eyes for the next couple of years?...
Thanks,
Ania

Pre-installed contacts ... and you are sure that those contacts are not on your SIM card?
Ok, in the device's contacts app you may have an app menu Settings (or similar). Maybe you can find kind of "hidden" contacts.
Or they come from sync with an account (Google, etc.).
Maybe best idea is to store all your contacts in Google, and enable sync of contacts on your device like described here: Sync contacts with Google.
For your exact device, I only found this threads on xda:
huawei ascend G6 root method!
[GUIDE] Huawei Ascend G6 LTE [G6-L11] (Root & Xposed Framework)
So not a direct answer to your problem.
Hi,
Thanks a lot for your answer. No, these contacts are not on my sim obviously, they came with the phone. I installed Root Browser and I can see them under data/data/com.android.contacts/databases.
I tried to use Root Browser to modify/remane/backup/delete them, but either the whole thing comes back after rebooting or I get the mesage "Contacts have stopped working" when I tap on the dialer or phone book icon, so have to restore them in order to make any calls.
Please help!!!

Maybe on of the experienced users there has a clue on it.
Good luck !
