Hi
I recently bought a new digitizer for my Xperia M from parts4repair.com and after I changed it, it worked fine. Next day I encountered a problem. The problem was that if I use phone for about 30 seconds, the digitizer freezes and I have to take out the battery to use the phone again. Although the touching of this digitizer is great.
I tried to make factory reset to see if it was software problem but it's probably hardware problem. I also tried using it in different conditions like warm and cold places. In cold places I could use it for more than a minute but in warm place it only takes less time for digitizer to stop working. So I think heat might also influence it.
Maybe someone has encountered similar problem and knows how to fix it
Thanks

Hi all.
Lately I'm facing a strange problem with my device.
when I navigate with it in a sunny day,
or talking on the phone while charging,
the devices gets hot and the screen goes down.
I can hear that the device is working and the buttons is working, but the
touchscreen is 'dead'. its all black.
Even a softreset won't fix it, the device goes up without the screen.
To fix it I need to pull out the battery for like 2 minutes untill the device gets cold.
is it hardware problem? Anyone else experienced any of these problems?
Thanks!
...ehem...
try to charge it via USB and not a car charger. Is there any difference now?
IMHO you should replace the device
the same problem
Hi
I have the same problem than you
I can use my Polaris in my computer with MyMobiler application but the sceen it's always black.
Sometimes when I do a Hard reset and press button left side it's OK but after some days it's comming again.
I think is not a hardware probleme but software problem.
Do you have resolve your probleme ?

I haven't resolve the problem yet.
the screen getting black is due to the nature of how a display works. i dont know of it actually damages the device, but i strongly believe so.
the working conditions of the device are written down in the manual, if you exceed those they might not replace your unit. this of course sucks, but it *is* written down to not expose the unit to direct sunlight.

I didn't know about the exposing to the sun ...
well, I hope it isn't got damaged badly.
thanks.
As I said, I'm not sure about the damage part, I could be completely wrong. I just think it *could* be...
If it doesnt change and the device gets unusuable all the time, I'd suggest you send it in for a replacement. Maybe you really got a bad unit, who knows.
Edit: I just thought of stuff which is usually written down in manuals and the glovebox problem popped in my mind: devices stored in the glovebox of your car are breaking down because of the sheer heat which builds up when the car is standing in the sun for a long time. All sorts of displays usually break or get completely black until the unit could cool down again... And in the glovebox they werent even exposed to direct sunlight, its just the heat...
hello. I have same problem. But i can't catch situation when it appears. I think, the sun is not an main culprit, because my phone goes down, when i
playing games in the room! may be it's overheating, but cooling doesn't help me.
To fix it, i do several soft resets (sometimes more then 300 ). Sometimes one reset helps, sometimes no. I think, it is hardware problem. Also i have problems with my camera (colormess). May be they are connected.
I will try to send it to service.
Hey, i put my device into refrigerator, and screen is working . I have tried to reanimate it since yesterday. Battery unplugging didn't help.
F*******K!!!
After ten minutes in the room with temperature near 20 C it's black again.
Can be problem with temperature sensor?

Don't put it in the refrigerator without putting it in a plastic bag or something. Moisture can kill it.
i put it into plastic pack.
But i think, that I'll kill it myself by throwing in the wall
Hm, question:
Where does temperature sensor dislocated? In battery or in PDA?
Well,
In the lab they told me my Board damaged up.
total-lost
What kind of damage?
this problem i faced it two times ,one of them when i put it inside my car and the AC was runing (cold) and my screen became black
and the other time it happened in a hot condition (also in my car)
realy this is very strange
and the solution for both to remove the battery for a while
So I searched everywhere and can not find ANYTHING on such an issue...
A little history on my phone, previously cracked the digitizer but replaced it with no issues (except for a minor cosmetic scratch on lcd, barely noticeable) about 3 months ago, has run fine since then, never any issues
I am running ICS under HD sensation rom, never any issues
I occasionally had some touch screen unresponsiveness, but a quick turn off and on of screen would fix this, a pretty common issue for this phone
The Issue:
today for some odd reason my phone screen would turn on and would be just random pixels of varying color, not correlating to lock screen at all, a reset of the phone did nothing for this, but strangely enough pressing very slightly across the whole front of the screen would return it to normal, if a bit briefly, so i concluded that a wire connecting the screen had come loose, or there was dust inside the phone, so i took it apart and made sure everything was a-ok, which it was, but after putting it back together the same issue persists, and has in fact gotten progressively worse throughout the day, it is now to the point of being unusable, has anyone experienced anything similar, or does anyone have any solutions? i would rather avoid a new phone if possible...
AnyOne??
I'm also having the same problem with my HTC Sensation and tried the master reset and inserting a new SD Card. Did you figured out what was causing the problem? I appreciate any info.

Hi,
I have a question regarding to a digitizer that suddenly started going on the blink, meaning sometimes it doesn't work at all. The screen works normal but it doesn't respond to input. If it doesn't no amount of restarts will help. But if I let the phone turned off for a night, in the morning it will often just work.
I disassembled the phone and checked that the connector was properly connected and it seems to be (I took it out and put it back in). There is no obvious damage on the phone.
I was wondering if there are any known causes for this behaviour. I could just order another digitizer and install that, but since there is no visible damage, I'm a bit worried that it'll just be the same problem. Could it have something to do with the battery? I still have the original and it's not exactly great anymore. I run Shantur's CM11.
Cheers,
Marc

Hi,
A few weeks ago a minor horizontal flickering black pixelline occurred on my screen. I thought it would resolve itself, but it only got worse. After a week a second pixelline started to show up just under the first one. But the real problem started yesterday, out of the nowhere my screen started to act very strange. The screen is showing purple stripes, delay and lag. As you can see in the pictures not the whole screen is "broke". The issue starts from the first pixelline that occurred to the bottom of the device.
I'm not sure whether this is a software or hardware problem, but I tried everything software related to fix the issue. Tried factory reset, switching kernel and switching different roms and older cm11s. The issue started before I was rooted. I also never have dropped my phone and it never suffered any kind of water damage.
I issued a RMA ticket, I hope they respond fast or that somebody maybe knows a solution. It’s unbearable to use my phone
This is a thread with a similar issue but I haven't found anybody except for us that is experiencing this issue https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/screen-as-purple-stripes.207051/

That's definitely either a faulty LCD panel or a faulty phone/logic board. You will have to wait for the RMA.
Hi I am facing the similar issue,, did your issue got resolved, please let me know... as I went to service center and they told me that the screen needs to be replaced and that will cost Rs 8000.
Hello guys,**
Well few days ago I accidentally dropped my Nexus 5 in a glass of water for just 1 sec. So I immediately switched it off and wait a bit to let dry then restarted it, and all seemed to work fine. But just some days later and up to now the phone boots up all fine as usual to the lock screen, and from there I can pull down the notification bar (and navigate through it, activate/deactivate wifi, etc..) but when I unlock it to get to the home screen it becomes all back and nothing appears on the screen even though the phone is still on.*
It's really confusing and weird. When I call the phone it rings (so no signal or sound problem) but I can't still access the screen to take the call as it's all back and unresponsive.
Following some suggestions I disassembled the phone and cleaned it dry but same results again! So now I think the problem is somehow related to the motherboard, coz as you might notice on some of the pictures attached, it seems that some plastic parts have melt down to cover other smaller parts. Anyway guys,*I'm just wondering if some of you guys had experienced something like that and if you were luckier*to find a solution or any directives that could help. Or you even think that's a motherboard problem like, do you know any ways to fix that o buy a new one somewhere??
PLEASE!!
Sorry apparently, I can't publish links until I get like 10 posts or plus..
But anyway guys, I'd really appreciate your help.
Why did you power it on and short circuit it on purpose for??
Bump
@SekouCheikh
Maybe it's a coincidence that you dropped it in water and this happened a few days later. Once in a blue moon mine does something similar to this (although not usually as start up only after lots of use), but I think it's related to an app or xposed. I only notice it after installing a bunch of crap again. Maybe try a factory reset (do it though the computer) just to see if it is somehow not hardware related? That's what I would try first.
Help please

Wait... Are you seriously posting from 2 different accounts??
<...>
First, simply try to factory reset or flash a new rom. There is not enough evidence to be sure it's a hardware problem, it could just as well be a coincidence that it started happening just now.
