Hello,
I make that thread to present you a simple and efficient drawing application named Tiny Paint freely available on Google Play Store here : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ssaurel.tinypaint
Tiny Paint lets you pick a color, choose your brush size and purposes some effects (blur, emboss). Your creation can also be shared with your friends or saved on your device.
Tiny Paint is simple but efficient and is a very good tool for kids that enjoy painting and drawing .

Going to try this out with my Note 3 on AOSP... If I have any recommendations I'll drop in and let you know. Great work so far!
EDIT: One feature recommendation, maybe you can add this... Using the share button of an image, and adding TinyPaint to it to make it easy to load an image into it...
I guess in these steps for example:
1) Take screenshot
2) Hit share and select TinyPaint
3) TinyPaint auto opens with picture in screen, ready to be written on
Also, is it possible to add more writing templates, like a pen, or marker or pencil, etc etc?
Again, great work and thanks in advance!
Does what it says.
My only suggestion is to save the colour choice since it saves the pen size but always starts in red.
Many thanks
Adrian
thanks
android does not have an easy app to edit screenshoots / slim, no bloated,
this is awesome
Thank you!
I've been looking for a similar very simple app since I moved from iOS a year ago, works like a charm!
Great app, I'd like to request a feature: share an image TO the app, also some bug I noticed: when loading an image from the image picker it somehow resizes images, not keeping original aspect ratio. Could you fix that? Is really annoying!
Thanks for the great app btw!
Very handy and nicely designed app. Thanks for sharing.

Hello,
Thanks for the idea. In the next release, I will add the and listener for share intent to have Tiny Paint as a choice.
For other templates, I'm going to think about it also.

Hello,
For share to, other member has asked for the feature and I will add for next release.
For the import of images, I didn't know if it was better to resize to the background's size or to preserve ratio. Perhaps, I can let users choose it during import.
Thanks for your ideas.

Looks nice and I like that you implement new ideas!
Is this based on Acrylic Paint (F-Droid link)? If so, will you release the source as well?
this made the portal, or I'd not have seen it.
congratulations!
i stopped looking for a decent simple android drawing program quite some time ago.
it's nice you saved me from trying to make something less feature-rich myself :cyclops:
good work. thanks for sharing. i especially appreciate the direct apk link without having to go through Play.
Version 3 is up !
Hello,
I worked on version 3 to integrate new features that you asked me .
I'm going to publish new version on Google Play Store. So, it will be available in few hours.
New features added are :
Better color picker
Color chosen is now saved
App is now listed when you share an image from your gallery for example
For next release, I plan, at least these 2 features :
Preserve image ratio when you load an image
Add other templates like pen, pencils, markers
For the ratio, I must still think about it for the best way to implement the feature because I would like let to users to choose if they want apply on background or preserve ratio.
Have you other ideas ?
APK provided on my server has also been updated with version 3 here : http://www.ssaurel.com/tinypaint/TinyPaint.apk
Thanks guys .

Hello everyone! Xatik Group is proud to present Droid Draw, the Turtle Graphics remake for Android!
If you would like a full description of the app please visit our website. Droid Draw | Xatik Group
And now on to a quick description.
Draw amazing complex shapes and patterns while learning the basics of programming with Droid Draw! Droid Draw is a twist on the original Turtle Graphics app that uses the LOGO programming language.
Not sure what Turtle Graphics and LOGO programming is? The original Turtle Graphics allowed a user to enter commands which represented what would be drawn out out on a Cartesian plane. Droid Draw brings this same functionality to Android users.
Not sure what to do? Make sure to check out the help section in the app. We have information on how to use the app and what every command does. Also, we are constantly adding to our website with interesting tips and tricks!

** Refresh: Have some random values in your code? Hit the replay button to generate a new image.
** Zoom/Drag: Is your picture too small or in the wrong area? We have include pinch-to-zoom and dragging capabilities.
** Quick Command Entry: We have created a custom keyboard to make entering commands and values simple.
** Drag and Drop Commands: Put a command in the wrong spot? Simply drag it to where you want!
** Wakelock during Animation: Want to watch the full animation without touching your phone? We now keep the phone awake ONLY during the animation!

Note: We've already received some great feedback and we have ideas for some features that we will try and add by the first release!
Keep the feedback coming. We really appreciate it!
Well we've had a few suggestions and we're working hard to implement the updates.
We have found one force close so far when a few invalid commands are entered.
We are hoping to have a new version of the app soon. Thank you everyone for testing!
If you have guys have any additional comments please feel free to share!
Droid Draw has been updated with three new features and a bug fix! Get the latest version of Droid Draw (v1.1.0 Beta) on the Play Store!
New Features
Draggable commands: You can now re-position the order commands are run by holding the drag icon on the right and moving the command up or down.
Auto scroll to new command: After you insert a new command, Droid Draw will automatically scroll to the new command
Wakelock during Animation: Frustrated when your phone shut off during an animation? We now keep your phone awake while Droid Draw is animating. Three seconds after Droid Draw is finished, the phone should go to sleep!
Bug Fix
There was a known force close in the keyboard activity if a certain invalid command was entered. We hope to have that fixed now.
It looks like there is a bug for higher resolution devices where no lines draw.
We will be implementing a hotfix hopefully by tonight.
We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused!

I tried the app, works great on CM9.
Lost half an hour just learning the commands, addictive stuff! Now I know what to do in a bus/train :laugh:
I would like to be able to create my own wallpaper with this. Option to export as image file would be perfect addition!

Hi mikpel,
Sorry for the late reply, I guess I missed the notification.
I will definitely look in to that! As a quick workaround, you can use the share feature. As soon as you click share, a screenshot of the image should be taken.
If you look in: /sdcard/Android/data/com.xatik.app.droiddraw.client/
You should see the screen shot!
I will add this to the suggestion list for sure though to stream line this.
Thanks for testing our app!
Hello Beta Testers!
This week, ending Friday the 17th, will be the final week of Beta testing for Droid Draw. This will have given everyone two weeks to test out our app and find any issues or suggestions they might have.
Once the Beta testing period has ended, we will shift our focus to fixing the issues found, adding some new features, and prepping the first official version of Droid Draw for release on August 31st.
Some of the issues and features that will be fixed/added for the official release are:
The redraw button on the image page does not work on phones with high resolution screens (ex. Galaxy Nexus), this will be fixed.
Addition of landscape keyboard.
Addition of two new commands. One to set the thickness of the pen and another to set the direction of the pen directly (instead of turning the pen a certain number of degrees from it's current position, you can directly set the pen to a given degree with respect to the screen).
Addition of tutorial pop-ups.
Addition for the ability to save an image as a wallpaper.
Addition for the ability to import/export scripts (ex. to share a script with others).
Addition for the ability to share screenshot with Xatik. We will then go through all of the submissions and put our favorite ones on our website for all to see!
We want this app to be the best it can possibly be, so if you have expierenced any other issues or have any suggestions for Droid Draw, please reply to this thread or go to our contact page and send us a message.
Stay tuned for more info as we approach our first official release!
For more details visit our site: http://www.xatik.com/2012/08/13/droid-draw-beta-status-update/

[APP][3.0+][1.1][★Video Introduction] Visummly - Share the moments within your videos
V1.1 (2013.11.17)
1. Set a photo as background - just long press any photo in your collage.
2. Add gallery photos - press the PLUS button at the bottom left.
3. Added Chinese support
==========================================================
After a month's effort to play with Android's canvas and different gestures, here comes my second app - Visummly.
The idea is to turn any video into an amazing collage image, quick and fun.
If you like this app, please give me a good rating on Google Play. Thank you.
---------- Why I build this app ------------
1. We record videos occasionally, but most of them have never been shared, because recording an interesting-enough video is very hard.
2. We shoot less videos than photos because we use them less, and video editing is time-consuming.
3. Many videos contain lots of great moments (more than you would expect) that can be highlighted/shared.
4. Sometimes it is just too hard to shoot photos at the best moments. Just miss it! The camera is not very fast.
Visummly is a new way to use your video, extract important moments from it, and reorganize it in a fun way.
Hopefully it will make you shoot more videos
---------- See it live on Youtube ------------
---------- Who am I ------------
I am a PhD student at University of Sydney, doing research on Automatic video summarization. However, this is quite difficult and summarization quality is very subjective. Then here comes the idea of allowing users manually "summarize" their videos using a collage image (that's why called Visummly). I am personally quite impressed by the final resulting app, especially that I found there are so many interesting moments even in a boring video. Even better, putting these moments in a nice way could really bring life to a static image.
---------- Features ----------
Let you pick the best moments from a video, arrange them into a collage.
You can change layout (frames), background color/pattern, border width, with smooth animations.
User interface has been tailored to be easy to use and blazing fast. Confused? Click on the question marks to see how to use.
Here is the screenshot and some samples (Thank my son for his support!) :

Incredible work you did here! I think it is a great idea and allows me to finally use my videos for something.
Can't wait to see the progress of this app in the future,
Some suggestions for features....
1) Adding images to the collage from gallery if you already have that perfect shot. (incorporated into the video still image capture window)
2) Adding a custom wallpaper from gallery to your collage.
3) Allowing the user to choose how much of the video they want to use and how many fps they want to use as opposed to the fixed 1fps for the first 30 secs of video.
4) Allow the user to choose the quality of the image output from best quality to least.
Not compatible with my device - Nexus 7.
Looks great, downloaded!

Great suggestions. (1)(2) are actually in my list for future updates
(1) is not provided for now as I still hope users to make a collage from a continuous video/motion/event. This makes the content inside the collage look smooth and consistent. Adding other photos from the gallery somehow breaks the "purity". However, this is definitely the feature I will add if many users suggest it (YOU are the first one!).
(2) is good. I am looking into it. Just not sure where to add a button to set wallpaper (background) image yet. Also, setting a wallpaper may make the collage look cluttered.
(3) this is hard. First problem is the memory issue. Now all bitmaps are in memory to enable fast interaction. Will have a look at ffmpeg to extract frames, while this generates many cache files.
(4) Now it basically capture the screen at its double size. Smaller size may be useful for quick sharing?
Thank you!

There is use-feature camera in the manifest in case I will support taking photo later, but I don't have android:required="false" previously, which makes the app require camera.
Is your Nexus 7 the first model that does not have rear camera? If so, then try installing it now?
Thank you for pointing out this issue
I'd love to see the ability to add images alongside video in the collage as well!
Thank you! I will try this on my galaxy mini!
Hi everyone,
I have recently published a new app called Friend Brush. Using this app you can create collages of smaller photos that look like a single photo when seen from distance (or zoomed out). You can pick your tiles from various sources, namely Facebook, Google+, or your device's gallery. For the big picture, you can either choose from your gallery or simply take a photo with the camera. Below is a sample of what can be done using this app:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I would highly appreciate any feedback, especially on stability and user experience of the app.
Download from Google Play

In case there are some issues in the public release, you can try bleeding-edge beta versions of the app using one of the following options:
OPTION 1:
Become a Google Play beta tester for the app. I have enabled beta testing for XDA Android App Testers Community.
OPTION 2:
Download the testing version from my official website. This version has all the basic features of the app, plus a report button you can use to contact me about a bug.
If you like the app, please make me extremely happy by tipping this to XDA Portal!
Friend Brush has just been updated. Now everyone can choose large tile photos. I also found some bugs in the previous versions and fixed them.

I have uploaded a new version to beta channels. I have tried to fix previous bugs. All the new features of 1.2.x are still in beta and not open to public. So, you can have first-hand access to those features (and help me perfect them). Thanks!
Nice idea and good work! Thanks

Your app is on the portal now: Easily Create a Photo Collage with Friend Brush :highfive:
As I told you, I like this app. Maybe a fantastic birthday present, when you make a big picture of your girlfriend/wife - of course with her on every tile :angel:

Yea, that's really great news. I will try to keep the app fresh through new features. I actually gave out birthday gifts to some of my fiends before I released the app when they asked how'd you do it, I told them about the app.
By the way, thanks for tipping.
Looks nice, gonna try it.

Thanks for the feedback. I will add this feature in the near future. However, the best results are with profile pictures as mosaics.

Thank you for your interest and your idea! Feedback like this helps me understand better what exactly users are looking for. Friend Brush was originally using just friend profile pictures for tiles (hence the name), and using photo albums was a late decision. So that part is still not mature enough. I will think about your idea to incorporate it in a user friendly way. Might not be in the next update, but for sure I will do it in the future. And if you like the app, I would be really glad if you rated it as I'm currently being stormed by haters on Google Play.
Thanks again!

Fantastic App! A few suggestions if I may.
1) I couldn't find anything that show's the full list of Premium features.
2) A little "help" about what the settings do would be useful. Like the random options of none to maximum. I tried both settings with the same brush and picture yet saw no difference.
3) It was not clear where the app was saving the creations or what it was calling them. Option to name them would be good. I plugged the phone in and searched the internal storage for "friends" to find where they were.
4) It would be great to be able to "favourite" the tiles you pick for the brush. In that if 2 tiles have virtually identical colour tags it would choose the 1 you marked higher priority. Although this is ofc a very minor suggestion
5) A bit of a "Tutorial" for want of a better word, more like basic help. As in the recommended number of tiles for the brush to get good results. I had about 200 of my little son and tried to make a creation out of that but the creation picture was poor. It was not really possible to make it out, this is most likely because of the lack of colours the app had available to make the creation because i had too few photo's. A little tip about this might stop people using too few and discarding the app as useless just because they didnt give it a fair shot.
6) Scrolling down the photo's in the creation is very slow (Xperia Z), maybe its possible for it to cache/thumbnail those. I have around 300 pics on my phone but it took a fair amount of time to scroll to pick a creation photo while it was loading them. It processed the brush and creation faster than browsing the album
Please dont take any of that as negativity, just suggestions. The app is absolutely brilliant and truly 1 of a kind!
Thanks
Adam
thanks for this wonderfull app....
one suggestion..when i am viewing the creation on my desktop while zooming the image it's blurred, but on phone its fine..can you have a look into this...

Thank you. How much are you zooming? Tile sizes are limited (32x32 pixels by default). You can set them to twice this size (64x64) by going to Settings. Hope this helps.

Thanks for your comments and your interest! I will answer your questions one by one here:
1) Did you click on "Why?" The button is available on the Google Play version, beside "Go Premium!" on Dashboard
2) There are Help pages about everything in the app. Just hit the menu button and choose Help from overflow menu. You can swipe to the screen you desire. Otherwise go to Settings and choose Help from there.
3) The app saves the creations to Pictures/Friend Brush on your external storage. Naming option can be added in the future.
4) I am thinking of new options for tiles for future updates.
5) Obviously the app can't do magic. 200 photos is a good number if they have diverse color tones. Camera shots normally have very flat range of colors. The app works best with profile pictures of your friends. About 300 profile secures a diverse enough spectrum.
6) I will look into that.

Added review with 5 stars. Its a good concept.

Few Ideas:
1. View mode for questions instead of edit mode every time.
2. Password for answers.
3. Conversion of questions set to pdf.
.
Good app overall. Getting use to it.

Used your app for taking test on 5 devices. Good Work
They needed option "slide to change question" & answers of full test together. This concept can do wonders in Education. Total digital class test. Need little bit more polishing into the app.
.
To the developer OP: Take your time to release the improved version. Make it useful thinking of many people using it together. looking forward to the improvements.
Thanks from me in last. Best of luck .

Hi everyone,
some time ago, I searched for a screenshot app which let me quickly edit screenshots, and then upload them directly to Imgur or share them differently.
Since I couldn’t find anything suitable, I started developing my own one, so now here it is:
My app is called Screen’it, and I’m almost finished for release, but before I wanted to do an alpha/beta test. I would be really happy if you could take part at my alpha test and give me any kind of feedback, about my app. Just say what you think about it. Do you like the layout, design, functions, features, etc.? I would greatly appreciate any sort of feedback.
At release, Screen’it will be a paid app, with a 30 day free trial, but all beta and alpha tester receive Screen'it free for one year. If you are a beta or alpha tester and give feedback, you get Screen’it free forever and don’t have to pay for the Full Version any time in life.
Screen’it aplha test: link
Thanks for testing!

Update 2016/01/17:

Update 2016/02/09:
Hi all,
I'm finally back from India and in front of my Computer! Expect the next update of Screen'it at the end of this week, I'm working on it. It will be mainly about the "Recent Screenshots" Option.
Next on my list is working on a better way to actually take screenshots. I'm thinking about a "facebook messenger like" bubble for taking screenshots.
And my favorite long-term feature will be the ability to crop before taking a screenshot. (that will probably take some time to implement, but it should work after all). So stay tuned for what's coming next.
And as always if you have any new feedback or request for a feature feel free to shout it out!
Thanks!

mhh... sometimes it takes some time after you are registered as a tester :/
But good to now that you got it installed
Very good app, design/layout is decent and very easy navigatable. I love the loads of tools in the photo editor.
I wouldn't mind, if it was possible to access the photo editor and redo a screenshot after initial editing.
I ran into a problem when trying to share a screenshot via my sms app (Google messenger) . Sending it manually worked fine though. Installed chompsms to see if it was a genereal problem, but there it worked as it should. Verdict must be my sms app sucks.
Other than this, I don't (for my perspective), see any needs for big changes.
You could do color theming if you wanted, I'm sure people enjoy the ability to change color setup.

Thank you for your feedback! I added color theming to my to-do list
Regarding the screenshot redo feature: Never that about that, but sounds good, and helpful. How should it look like? I could imagine that I add an recent Screenshots view to the main app page (where the "start capture" button is), and if you click on one of the images, the editor opens up and let you edit the screenshot again.
I will check the sms problem, when I'm home, should be normally also working with google messenger :/
If you like to, feel free to share the app with your family and friends
nice work

Been looking for new updates to this thread for some time, and just now I noticed the update in your OP.
Heh, I was awaiting a new post, so never scrolled up to have a look there.
The recents screenshot wasn't exactly what I was thinking, more like a regular "load image" function and then access the image.
But if you can access the image via pressing on the image, I guess that'll work to
