[Q] Any app to record full telephone calls? - Moto G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I think this is illegal in several countries. I have tested a lot of apps form the Play Store but no of them works for Moto G. Sometimes it's only recorded one part of the conversation.
I think they could depend on the mobile hardware and perhaps there is one good for Moto G.
Any suggestions.
Edit:
I have KK 4.4.4 and not rooted

would like to know that too. i don't understand why google makes it so diffcult to record phone calls in kitkat.

[Q] very quiet voice only in calls

Hello,
I have a strange problem with my rooted Haier W910 Smartphone (Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8260A CPU with ICS 4.0.4).
In all calls, the microphone is very low and everyone hear me very quiet.
But in all other apps, like voice recorder or google speech recognition, the mic works fine and perfect.
I hold the phone properly and also I don't touch the mic with my fingers in the call.
I can't edit something in the phone options and I don't know / can't find the right secret code for service or engineering mode
Who can help me, please?
Best regards and sorry for my terrible english
Andy

I also have this problem only when i calling out. Changing ROMs dosen't solve this strange problem. The engineer code is *#*#303#*#*
Me too
Anyone found a solution to this? I have exactly the same problem. Just done a static test when I call out using the Haier the voice levels are very quiet. But accepting a call in the voice levels are just fine.
Has to be software related??

It's seem software related but all the ROMs I checked (various 4.0.4 a d 4.1.2] don't solve the problem.
I just returned the phone to the seller.

It seems that the problem is very apparent when using handsfree, because the other party experiences huuge quality loss when the phone is switched to handsfree (switching to the loudspeaker and talking from say 50 cm away) I have however heared ppl tell me that my voice comes through worse then before anyway. Same for cellular and ip calls incl wifi

[Q] Moto G Music/Media headphone volume too low?

So I have a Moto G Google Play Edition, and I've noticed that my Media volume is very low. Anyone have any ideas?
Is Sound Effects app properly configured? Have you uninstalled it?
And your G is an original GPE or have you converted it to GPE?
Ive not tested this on GPE firmware but you can give it a go. If there is such a file (mixer_path), and there are the said lines, then try to change it. As usual, perform a nandroid backup in case anything goes wrong. Use this method ONLY if the said files and lines are present okay? I can safely say that it works on CM based roms.

I am well aware of this. If I increase this, the sound will distort. So I don't wish to use this method.

To be honest, Ive tested this on crappy AND good headphones I didnt notice any distortion (i dont have audiomods, i dont increase bass or anything nor have i experienced distrortion on high frequencies) so I'm a bit dumbfounded. Different roms have different ways of managing audio, i guess. I really want people to focus on this issue too. Ive been looking here and there for a solution to be honest. I hope you'll find a solution and share it here

I wish someone here in the XDA developers make a custom kernel for this so it won't distort.

There are kernels for GPE that have fauxsound implemented (supposedly its very good at inxreasing volume) but the problem is you have to pay to be able to use the feature using a paid app. I had problems with it where the volume boost wouldnt stick after a reboot, but im not in anyway from stopping you to try it out. You may get different results. Try looking around our moto g forum (for kernels that have fauxsound)

here's one. It says on the first post that it should work on GPE
AND it does have the fauxsound thing. It's in the changelog

I downloaded this and did a backup. Then I flashed it. Everything was fine. I downloaded fauxsound app. Everything was working until I did a reboot to delete my backup. Sure enough, the phone was bricked AFTER I deleted my backup. I turn on my phone, in the google logo. Everything becomes purple and the screen goes black. I cleared cache and dalvik to see if that works but it didn't so I had to do a factory reset. Thanks so much!

I thought call recorder is made by people from xda but nevermind. I really wonder why did it work on earlier version of android.
buy Total Recall from playstore.. It's very good and stable in recording voice call In and Out...
Make sure you purchase it to unlock the full feature and unlimited recording time. Worked in all Lollipop versions.
There is only one worth getting. Its £8 and record off the line. I have it and it works perfectly with kk, and all the ? updates. I'd get that. The Dev is very helpful and will sort issues out within the hour it uses CAF method but will use others. Most, even paid use the speaker.

Call Recorder on the Moto G 2013

Hey,
I've been looking for a Call Recorder on the Motorola Moto G 2013 single Sim, no LTE. XT1032.
I could'nt really find anything that is working
I just rooted my device.
Do you know of any that works not just by using the microphone to record but the "phone line"?
I am trying to use the Boldbeast App, but I can't get it working :/
But apparently it should work:

Thanks in advance!

Yes that looks correct. In India their XT1225 Quark was called Moto Turbo, but was still just an XT1225. For something like microphone probably even Droid Turbo parts are the same.

Better get it checked at the service center. If the ICs are faulty then replacing the mic won't solve the problem. You will be wasting money in that case.
