Hello I am new to forums. I just installed cloudy3 to my LG G2 from sprint.
i can not access my gallery, but i can access my camera and take pictures. Everything else was uploaded from G2 properly as in contacts etc. But i can not access my gallery and my messages. My pictures are not in my phone now as well?
and I am using evolvesms text messaging app. I tried going to the default msg but can not access either. I can make calls and everything else. Ive heard of people having this problem but no direct answers. If anyone can help it would be appreciated thank you.

if other people are reporting the issue, it is likely a problem with the rom, and the developer would need to fix it.

It's from this developer and
when people would ask similar questions they would say to post in q&a..

[Q] HTC Messages app keeps defaulting to All Message view

Hi, quick question regarding the SMS app. With the old one for the Desire, while you were in a thread, if you went to the homescreen or another app, and then back to Messages, it would place you back in the thread you were viewing.
With the Sensation, it no longer works like this, instead if you navigate away and come back, you end up with the All Messages view, and then have to find your thread again. It's very annoying! Any way to fix it and have it like the old way?
Thanks!

Muppet. I don't want to use CM7 thanks, because I want to stay on Sense. Either provide a proper solution to the question, or just keep your trap shut.
Weird, mine does as you want yours to, I don't know why yours doesn't

Changed APN Settings, can't send SMS to (at least) one contact?

I have officially exhausted all my searching resources.
I am running CM7.1 and have played with the build.prop as well as APN settings and found decent success in data speeds and overall connectivity.
However, for the past few weeks I am unable to send ONE contact any text messages. I can receive his, and I can send/receive to everyone else that I have tried, but he does not receive my texts.
Has anyone ever seen/heard of/experienced this? He is on Verizon without a smart phone and I am on AT&T but I can't see how that would be relevant. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Search the Q&a section also the general forum. This is a known cm7 issue. Its always good to search before posting.

Any recommendation for a certain chain of keywords to produce these results? I am certainly willing to admit that I searched for the wrong things but this was no spurious thread creation. I've been looking for a few weeks now.

I do appreciate your willingness to post.
Just to clarify:
I can text others and receive text messages just fine
This is NOT the problem with sending/receiving messages over 160 characters
Only one contact is not receiving my text messages
I am using the stock messaging app. NOT Handcent.
This does not appear to be a known issue with CM7. At least not one documented in a way that I can find it. I HAVE found documented issues with (a) not receiving ANY text messages, (b) sending blank/garbled messages, especially over 160 characters, and (c) using Handcent, Google Voice for text messages, etc.
I will re-read the CM Q&A as per your suggestion, but I think the threads you are thinking of are not relevant to my particular issue.

.gif images not moving

Hello, I am running CleanRom 5.6 on my verizon galaxy sIII and everything is working great. However I have one problem. The stock message app works great but it does not allow for group test message to show up on one message i.e. you get individual message instead of getting one single message. I solved this by installing go sms pro or handcent. NOw the problem that I am having is that when people send me a .gif image file I can see the picture but it is not moving. I have tried opening under the stock text app, go sms pro, and handcent but no one them work. At have had it working a few time but the majority of times it does not work i.e. the image does not move. I have searched online a lot but there is no one consensus on how to fix this problem. I hope someone know what I am talking about and can help me because I am not the only one who is having the problem. Thank you.
p.s. I do not know whether the problem is being caused by an iphone user sending the .gif file or whether that does not matter.

Im not 100% sure here but pretty sure the Android OS doesnt fully support .gif anymore at least? seems like alot of people cant only get the first frame of a gif to run on their phones now.

[Q] Where can I get a user manual?

I've tried everything since 1st November.
Droid life had one but it's been removed. I've tried Google, Android forums, my network carrier but no. Not even on LG's own website. In fact, LG don't even have this model listed.
Any ideas?
I really want to learn how to use Hangouts, which I've disabled for the purposes of SMS and am using MMS.apk but I want to know how to use some of the features in KitKat that I've never seen or used before.
Thanks for any help, people

Here's a quick start guide - https://play.google.com/store/books/details?id=3SfNAQAAQBAJ
But most of the Google apps are fairty intuitive. Try the app out - look thru' the settings and the available options. If there are questions, ask the user community. Most of the folks here are helpful.

[Q] Old Gmail on ICS

I already searched on here, and someone asked this before but got no reply.
I want to uninstall Gmail 4.7.1 from my Kyocera Rise that's running ICS, and install the older Gmail 2.3.4.1 on it. Has anyone else done this before? Any idea if it'll work?
I want to do this because 2.3.4.1 is what my old phone (was running Gingerbread) had on it. I don't like the newer Gmail app, IMO they made it harder to read and navigate. I find myself using my old phone just to check my email, because its less annoying. It'd be awesome if the older app were to work on here.

Welcome to Xda, you will see that this happens allot here and i wish everyone could get the help they deserve but most of the time they don't as for your problem, you could google Gmail 2.3.4.1 apk and might be able to find someone who mirrored that like you can try here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1181033 download that file from your phone or computer and find it and install it. it might not work because google sorta wants us to use newer versions of their apps but if it does you need to turn off the auto update so it wont. good luck and welcome to XDA!

Hello, thanks. I've been a lurker on here for a while, but I have no experience asking my own questions here.
Yup, I did that, I downloaded an .apk of 2.3.4.1. I was asking on here to try and find out if attempting this would even work.... in my research I can't find anything on whether something like this for Gingerbread will work correctly in ICS. It looks like I have to root to even remove Gmail 4.7.1 so that's why I was asking before getting into this.

The reason why you can't completely uninstall it is because it's a system app. So yes you would have to root to remove it
