Changed APN Settings, can't send SMS to (at least) one contact? - HTC Inspire 4G

I have officially exhausted all my searching resources.
I am running CM7.1 and have played with the build.prop as well as APN settings and found decent success in data speeds and overall connectivity.
However, for the past few weeks I am unable to send ONE contact any text messages. I can receive his, and I can send/receive to everyone else that I have tried, but he does not receive my texts.
Has anyone ever seen/heard of/experienced this? He is on Verizon without a smart phone and I am on AT&T but I can't see how that would be relevant. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Search the Q&a section also the general forum. This is a known cm7 issue. Its always good to search before posting.

Any recommendation for a certain chain of keywords to produce these results? I am certainly willing to admit that I searched for the wrong things but this was no spurious thread creation. I've been looking for a few weeks now.

I do appreciate your willingness to post.
Just to clarify:
I can text others and receive text messages just fine
This is NOT the problem with sending/receiving messages over 160 characters
Only one contact is not receiving my text messages
I am using the stock messaging app. NOT Handcent.
This does not appear to be a known issue with CM7. At least not one documented in a way that I can find it. I HAVE found documented issues with (a) not receiving ANY text messages, (b) sending blank/garbled messages, especially over 160 characters, and (c) using Handcent, Google Voice for text messages, etc.
I will re-read the CM Q&A as per your suggestion, but I think the threads you are thinking of are not relevant to my particular issue.

HTML Email (Exchange) Apostrophe Error

I searched for the word Apostrophe in all the forums. No matches.
Anyone else having the ' issue with all contractions and possessive words?
I'll, you're, Bill's, Ted's etc.. anything with an apostrophe in it (Example - I'll should be I'll )
No one sends HTML emails on XDA? wow...
I believe I saw it posted up in the Xoom forums, there was a link to an issue on the Android issues page.

Was about to start a new thread on this...glad I used the search function as the search nazis preach....
I've had problems with this in the Exchange email app...very frustrating when you are sending work emails and discover that instead of "I'm" or "isn't" you sent "I&aposm" or "isn&apost"....looks like you screwed up typing the email or you were drunk...
I've experienced this on different ROMs, kernels, and even keyboards, so not sure if this is a Honeycomb issue or what...really sucks not being able to rely on the Exchange email on my tablet...starting to think these things are just for playing rather than a real work use....
Update: Thanks JC for the links...after reading the code.google.com pages it is obviously a Honeycomb issue...interested in seeing how long it takes to get this fixed....getting hard to excuse some of the problems Android has for business applications...
I just ran into this today, got a reply asking me why my emails were filled with 's. I figured it was his problem because I sent myself an email and it didn't happen. But now I see it's only on replies that it happens. Sure hope they get this fixed in 3.2.
That actually happens in a number of instances. It even happened when I was posting to this forum via Tapatalk. Not sure what's causing it, or what the issue is, but it's not limited to HTML email and Exchange.
Someone reported in code.google.com that 3.2 seems to fix it... heres hoping ASUS releases 3.2 for us soon so we can see!

Has anyone who's updated to 3.2 checked this?

[Q] Mail app not parsing links

Using the HTC email app, no links are ever parsed. They just appear as standard, un-clickable text. I even tried forward/replying messages to see if they would appear as links there but they don't.
Does anyone else have this issue and/or a suggested fix? Thanks!
Are you debloated on AT&T? It seems we need HTCLinkifyDispatcher, which is removed as bloat

I am not, though I would love to be! (I am reticent to root my device, however.) I am running Apex, however, and perhaps this is related to the issue?
Thanks for the reply. Any further thoughts would be very much appreciated.
Well, apparently, I am not the only one experiencing this. Had not yet found this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1639865
Does anyone have any idea why links would not be recognized as such?
i was having problems until i changed the maximum receive settings to max, and things started working much better. HTML emails that did not open correctly began opening and prompting for image downloads as expected.

Thanks! I tried the "max" setting and this didn't resolve the issue.
However, our problems are different as HTML email display has never been a problem (and I am always prompted to download images)--my issue is that links do not parse in plain-text emails.
links in email are not hyperlinked
I am having the same problem. Hyperlinked words (seem) to be clickable and work fine. However, some emails I get where the address is typed out like the following (for example):
h t t p s://w w w. dropbox.c0m/el/?r=/link/65.Zf7E33Qbpe...
They look like regular text and are not highlighted, much less clickable.
Other times, I get emails with only the following in the body of the email:
"Please view the HTML of this email to see the message".
I'm going nuts because there is no HTML or anything to click on, let alone any kind of message. I've checked settings and nothing there is absolutely nothing to clue me into what might be wrong or how the situation can be resolved.

[Q] MMS, Hangouts and GIFs...

Ok so I originally started on Hangouts like everyone else but slowly realized that the compatibility with iMessage and Group messages involving iPhone users is sub par. I downloaded the MMS.apk from the Themes and Apps section and now I can group message with no problem at all. The issue I'm having involves sending and receiving GIFs. I know that android doesn't support GIFs but with the new Hangouts it was supposed to. Is there any way to pass along that compatibility to the MMS.apk?
Thanks in advance!

Unless you plan doing the development and building the APK yourself, you can't just expect MMS.apk GIFs to work by some easy method

I was hoping to see if anyone had found a solution. I had done a search but because of the common search terms I got way too many unwanted hits. Ideally I'd love to see Hangouts group messaging work better.

[Q] Voice respond app

So I have been searching for hours trying to find a app that basically does the following.
When I receive a text message I would like for my phone to speak "you have a new text message from ...contact name... Would you like to hear the message?"
Then I could say yes or no depending on the location and the contact the message was from. Then be able to respond or not.
I have seen many apps that can read texts and respond with no problem but sadly none ask before reading the entire message.
Surely I can't be the only one that would like this functionality on their nexus 5.

I'm surprised that AVX and utter! don't have that functionality.
Thanks actually AVX can do it it's just not very easy to figure out the settings to set it up. Still sounds very crude and old school but it works.

[Q] Group message notifications go to wrong thread

When I click a notification of a new group message, instead of going to the group message it goes to SMS thread for the person that sent the group message (if that makes sense). Has anyone else seen this? I just started using HTC Messages instead of Hangouts, so this is the first I've noticed this. Is there a fix for this?
Edit: And yes, almost immediately after posting I realized this should have went into the QA thread...if a mod would like to move it that would be appreciated.
I have that same problem and also people have told me that my responses are going to individuals rather than the group

That happens to me too. I posted a thread about it.
