Could you add the air pressure as inches of mercury in the imperial measurement?
Thank you very much!
Great App!

I am big fan of those apps type. I suggest to add possibility to have temp in notification area and to stabilise mesurements (to display only bigger delta changes of them). Thanks

i'm already planning for the notification area, maybe in the v2, because now i don't have much time, and i would like to do something that looks good, maybe i can use something like the widget that refresh every 30m/60m so the battery will not drain much, for the delta changes, i will try to think to something.. the approach used now is to read direcly from sensors, usually if you wait 1-2 minutes with the phone on flat surface sensors accuracy grow

notification is ready, and i tried to stabilise mesurements, new version 1.4 will be online in 1-2 hours =)

Good friend! more ideas:
1x1 widget (temp)
only for thinking: to measure distance between 2 points (I am not sure is possible at all). You start walking (drive) set point A, when finish choose this as point B and distance is displayed. Can be connected with time measurement for average speed...

[App][12.11.2012][V2.3.2 Release] AmberHome Weather

AmberHome Weather is a weather app that will show weather forecast data from the yr.no weather feed.
Release version now available in PlayStoreAmberHome Weather Free
Pro Version: AmberHome Weather Plus
Additional Iconsets: AmberHome Weather IconSets
I would be glad if you can test this app and tell me how you like it.
If you want to help to translate the app please register at GetLocalization.com and then go to this URL: AHWeather at GetLocalization
Translating the app should be very easy with this great community web tool. Thanks for your help.
If you like you can visit the AmberHome blog where I will add some news from time to time and follow me on Google+ if you like.
Unlike other weather apps AHWeather does not depend on cities. Every location in the world can be used, just search for it. The location search is the standard Android geolocation search and it is very powerful. You can edit some data for a location like name and country name. Additionally there is a field for the altitude of the location. Normally you can leave this to 0 which means the weather site will choose the altitude itself. Maybe this field will be removed for the release version since for most cases it is not needed.
About the weather data:
The weather data comes from yr.no, delivered by the Norwegian Meteorological Institute and the NRK. Yr.no is one of the last weather sites that provide weather data for free even for commercial use. Unlike some other weather feeds yr.no only has forecast data and no current condition! This means that everywhere in the app where current conditions are displayed (like in the widget) this is calculated from forecast data and may be several hours old. Most time this is not as accurate as in other apps which request weather data from nearby weather stations.
The weather forecast is very accurate in Europe but I have no idea how good it is in other regions of the world. Some tests I have made like requesting weather data in israel etc. looks quite good. Please tell me how accurate the weather forecast is in your region.
In some locations (mainly northern europe) there is hourly forcast data for the next 48 hours. In all other regions of the world there is 3 hour forecast instead.
Planned features for later versions:
tablet layouts
more widgets
weather chart
location based weather
...
Known bugs:
If you permanently rotate the screen, after some time (about 25 rotations on my device) the app will FC with an out of memory error. I think this is a general Android problem and can't be fixed easily.
On some devices if you rotate your home screen, the widget will not update immediately. This is because I hit a Android widget limitation with bitmaps. I hope to fix this in the next release.

Great start, but the layout seem quite of somehow. I doesn't like the background color and I would like to have it more simple a less cluttered. Like the choice of weather service, the Norwegians knows the weather in Sweden better than we do our self .

Normally it should work. Try to search for "<cityname> usa" or something. It should even find small villages with a few houses.
Location based weather is planned for a later release.
I live in the Boonies and it finds me just fine. My town doesn't have stop lights.
The barometer could be in inches though. That's the only gripe I have.

I think this one is close to a release candidate.
Thank you all for testing.
Great app, thank you. Will test it.
Very good app! running fine on CM9
Added 2.0 Beta5 to first post.
This version has a complete redesign of the widget. It is still not perfect but should scale better on different resolutions and should work better on ICS and up.
Couple feature suggestion
1. Re-sizable widget for touchwiz (or 5x1 widget )
2. Transparent widget
Works pretty fast on galaxy note,
1st version released to play store
The first version is now released to play store.
Additionally I added the release version to the first post.
Thanks to all testers and stay tuned. If new beta versions are available I will post them here.
Very nice. Only suggestion I have is to offer different weather icons.

[MOD] HTC_IME mod v28 / v29 / v30 / v30.1 / v31

Version v27 and earlier from jonasl can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=624416
See the post below for further information! seems xda doesn't give me enough text amount as junior member......
v31
New: Compatible with Android 4.1+ (fully working dictionary and t9)
Tested on Android 4.1 and 4.3.
v30.1
New: Compatible with Android 4.1+ (no dictionary)
The entire dictionary functionality has been removed due to incompatibility with library "libt9.so". There is no way to modify or recompile this file. I probably implement an own simple dictionary functionality to regain the superb T9 keyboard. Please disable Text input -> Prediction.
If you are running Android 4.0.4 or less, download v30.
In my opinion this is the best keyboard mod. Thanks to jonasl! and htc
Enjoy,

[APP] SD-Booster 2.0: Public beta test (Tester wanted)

Hello,
I'm working on SD-Booster 2.0 as promised (a long time ago :angel.
I'd like to start a public beta test und translation help. :victory:
If this test runs smoothly it will upgrade the current SD-Booster
version 1.5.4 on Google Play Store!
I attached the APK file and strings.xml. The strings.xml file
includes the current english language for all UI elements.
Please help me to translate this file to other languages.
Tester wanted: Please test this version and report all bugs here. Thanks!
Do like the new UI ? Do think something looks bad or just sucks ?
I'd like to see any kind of comments suggestions or questions.
Known features (old versions):
- MMC detection framework to support any kind of SD-Cards
- Display current used cache size with colored terms.
(red = small size, yellow = medium size, green = optimal size)
New features since version 1.5.4:
-New UI (state of the art look & feel)
-Each SD-Card can be configure separately
-Monitor feature for each device
-Automaticly detects new devices
-Notification if a new device is detected
-Notification if a unmanaged device is found
-Notification if a device state is changed
A speedtest isn't yet available because it's not ready so far.
It will be include later on after Version 2.0 is landet in the
Play Store.
App description:
SD-Booster speeds up your internal and external SD-Card
(memory-card) up to 40 times! Enjoy a new feeling of
speed on your Android smartphone anytime and everywhere
you are. Starting apps, listing to your favorite music or
just swapping data with your PC ? Whatever you do, the
SD-Booster improve your phone speed!
SD-Booster needs root permission to run, otherwhise SD-Booster
can't do anything!
For experts only: App works with read_ahead_kb value
[update]
I replaced this version with a newer once.
Changelog:
-Add temporary FC report stuff (needs internet permission to send a report)
-Add Languages: CZ,DE,ES,FR,HU,IT,PL, and SK
Please check your language. Well, some sentences stll have a text length problem
mainly in the "setup" dialog.
I added a report function temporarily for this beta test. (will be removed in final version)
If a FC comes up, a report will be generated and send to me
It includes the fields APP_VERSION_CODE, APP_VERSION_NAME, ANDROID_VERSION,
PHONE_MODEL, STACK_TRACE
Finally i worked a bit on the UI part and translations. I decide to use symbols instead of text
for my buttons. It's more or less "international" as well.
Please check UI and text elements together if they are fit in your display size and report.

----------
Translating strings and arrays in res.zip:
All who help with translations will be acknowledged in the app. The res/values directory contains the files strings_localizable.xml and arrays_localizable.xml with the English (US) words and phrases that would need to translated. As an example here is how the translation to Brazilian Portuguese worked:
Step 1) Copy the strings_localizable.xml and arrays_localizable.xml files from res/values to another location.
Step 2) Complete the translation of the words and phrases inside the xml tags.
Example 1:
<string name="app_name">Weather Station</string>
becomes
<string name="app_name">Estação Meteorológica</string>
Example 2:
<string-array name="pref_notifications_when_entries">

Rising

Falling

</string-array>
becomes
<string-array name="pref_notifications_when_entries">

Subindo

Caindo

</string-array>
Step 3) The translated files are placed into a new directory inside the res directory called values-pt (or values-pt-rBR). I can take care of this last step I just need to know what language it is and if it is limited to a regional dialect.
Works in other devices?

That's cool. I'm going to give it a go.

The pressure will work on any device that has a barometer (e.g. Nexus 4, Galaxy S3, etc). The temp and humidity will only work on a Galaxy S4 b/c it is the only device right now with a ambient thermometer and hygrometer.

As I explain in the Google Play listing, the auto start permission is to run a very short service to re-set the alarm so background readings can be taken. The service only runs for a split second and then kills itself. If you disable background readings the service won't run on restart.
I am very interested in knowing how accurate the temperate sensor is working on the S4. Can someone test this out with a dedicated temperature reader and tell me how accurate it is or how off it is in Fahrenheit? Thanks.
if u can add a temp warning notification , then it will be perfect...
like i am able to set it to warn if the temp goes over xx degree..
Oh thanks mate! I got these readings, first is in my home and second is from outside. That second is littlebit weird because internet shows that there is only +4 celsius.

How long were you outside for? Perhaps the phone needed to stay outside longer in order to read the temperature correctly (away from other heat sources like yourself or the sun)?? Or worst case scenario is that the S4 temp sensor is not that accurate (we would need to find some specs on the sensors that Samsung is using).
Adjust Temperature
Is there any way to calibrate the temp sensor.?
Currently most readying are way higher than actual readings
I spent half an hour trying to find out why the thank you button is not available for me but couldn't find out why.
Thank You.Vry nice app.

About 10minutes. Maybe i need to try later, but usually i'm outside only 5-10minutes when i walk to train station or to grocery shop.

This was debated by me when I was making the app and I decided not to include it (but may put it in a future release if it is greatly demanded). The logic is that the temperature sensors are supposed to be calibrated to high accuracy at the factory and should not lose accuracy over time. Thus the "actual reading" you are referring to IS the actual reading that the thermometer on the phone is reporting. If it is higher than another thermometer nearby, it is higher for a reason (probably because of your body temperature heating the sensor, or the sun, or some other reason). The question is why fudge that?
i guess your mobile must be in your pocket.. try expose it to the weather..

This will be in the next release.
I've noticed that the temperature on the S4 is always higher. The reason is probably that the S4 is a heat source in itself! Unless the temperature sensor is incredibly well insulated from the rest of the phone then it will always be affected. I might test this and take a reading but only after having left the phone off for some time like 30 minutes (to let it cool sufficiently) then switch it on and take the reading before too much heat has built up in the device.

Introduction
This is the App you didn't knew you were missing since years. Switch to your last used app with just a tap on the floating button over you screen. Once you get used to, you won't be leaving it for a day. And as the Play Store description says,
Think about the last channel button on your TV remote, which makes switching between two channels as easy as pie. Now think about a button on your mobile/tablet which switches you to the last used application with a single tap.
Imagine, you are browsing internet and a message arrives. Normally, you would minimize your browser, open the chatting application, and reply to the message. Then press the recent apps button, find your browser, tap on it, and then continue browsing, huh! Suddenly, another message arrives!
With LAS (Last App Switcher), you will be like "tap", chatting, "tap", browsing. Envision the figure of precious minutes you are going to save in a day.
Salient Features:
Persistent button floating above all your apps.
Switch between two apps quickly with just a single tap.
Snappy transition animations configured to save you even more precious fractions of a second.
Semi-transparent floating button feels lot less meddlesome.
Extremely light on resources.
And It's free, absolutely free. No ads, no hidden charges.

These are some features, I have considered to include in future releases, in no particular order.
# Edge swipe gesture, instead of the floater, to switch to the last app.
# An Xposed module and a navigation bar button (I personally thing this feature would be great).
# Eliminating the 5 second delay after home key press using Xposed.
# An arc view for multiple level app switches (Another great feature to come).
# App exclusion list will replace Home screen exclusion.
# The LAS floater automatically hides when there is a full screen application running in foreground.

This is a fantastic idea, but would you consider making it a shortcut or activity so that I can access it from other areas on the system without having to keep a prominent floating button on my screen at all times? Thank you.
I second this proposal. It could be extra useful even it wetter an app without an ui, which only toggles the foreground app with the previous one.
Sent from my GT-N7100 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
May be very useful; much more efficient than dealing with "recent apps" types of toggles/menus.
Would like to be able to turn off haptic feedback though.....

Yes, this would work too, but then the developer wouldn't be able to make it customisable. A shortcut would do the trick.

Thanks, I will be adding it in my next update or so.
But, There is a problem, Android doesn't allow any activity call within 5 seconds of Home key press. So, such a shortcut at home screen will be useless, as user would have to wait for 5 seconds after pressing home key to switch to last used app, isn't it. Any suggestions?
I don’t intend to use the shortcut from the Home screen. Shortcuts work systemwide and there are plenty of apps that allow you to trigger them in various ways. I could, for instance, set a voice command “switch to last app” that would trigger your shortcut, or I could map it to a target on the Navigation Bar or Navigation Ring. It would make your app very versatile.
(Feel free to charge for your app. Kuchh paisey to kamao! )

Oh, that's a great idea. I was already thinking about it. Will start working on it.
(Aur rahi baat paison ki, to "Picture, abhi baaki hai mere dost". )
I would use it as a clickable in Pie Control Pro, which I use mostly as a task launcher and switcher.
I asked the developer of that app to implement something like that but I haven't had any response yet.

How about a small bar on the edge which when swiped turns into the bubble and when left, shrinks back to the bar and sticks to the edge.
It's a good idea, simple and unobtrusive. I like it
Sent from my GT-N7100 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I'm not a fan of systemwide edge gestures. Most apps already use them for features of their own, so it creates conflicts. It's much better than the bubble, but please make sure you add the shortcut as well.

I will be adding two options in future, the bar thing and an edge gesture. With an option to choose between the bubble and gesture. And of course, a shortcut as well.
