If you want to help to translate the app please register at GetLocalization.com and then go to this URL: AHWeather at GetLocalization
Translating the app should be very easy with this great community web tool. Thanks for your help.
If you like you can visit the AmberHome blog where I will add some news from time to time and follow me on Google+ if you like.
Unlike other weather apps AHWeather does not depend on cities. Every location in the world can be used, just search for it. The location search is the standard Android geolocation search and it is very powerful. You can edit some data for a location like name and country name. Additionally there is a field for the altitude of the location. Normally you can leave this to 0 which means the weather site will choose the altitude itself. Maybe this field will be removed for the release version since for most cases it is not needed.
About the weather data:
The weather data comes from yr.no, delivered by the Norwegian Meteorological Institute and the NRK. Yr.no is one of the last weather sites that provide weather data for free even for commercial use. Unlike some other weather feeds yr.no only has forecast data and no current condition! This means that everywhere in the app where current conditions are displayed (like in the widget) this is calculated from forecast data and may be several hours old. Most time this is not as accurate as in other apps which request weather data from nearby weather stations.
The weather forecast is very accurate in Europe but I have no idea how good it is in other regions of the world. Some tests I have made like requesting weather data in israel etc. looks quite good. Please tell me how accurate the weather forecast is in your region.
In some locations (mainly northern europe) there is hourly forcast data for the next 48 hours. In all other regions of the world there is 3 hour forecast instead.
Planned features for later versions:
tablet layouts
more widgets
weather chart
location based weather
...
Known bugs:
If you permanently rotate the screen, after some time (about 25 rotations on my device) the app will FC with an out of memory error. I think this is a general Android problem and can't be fixed easily.
On some devices if you rotate your home screen, the widget will not update immediately. This is because I hit a Android widget limitation with bitmaps. I hope to fix this in the next release.

Great start, but the layout seem quite of somehow. I doesn't like the background color and I would like to have it more simple a less cluttered. Like the choice of weather service, the Norwegians knows the weather in Sweden better than we do our self .

What do you mean with "doesn't work in the US"? It should work everywhere in the world. Do you get an error, no weather data, wrong weather data? Can you please give some more information?
Thanks.
Nice app. Thanks. Only one wish widgets but already planned. Thank you. Works perfect for Germany.

Normally it should work. Try to search for "<cityname> usa" or something. It should even find small villages with a few houses.
Location based weather is planned for a later release.
I live in the Boonies and it finds me just fine. My town doesn't have stop lights.
The barometer could be in inches though. That's the only gripe I have.

Added Beta 4 version to the first post.
This version adds german translations to the app. If you want to help me translate this app to other languages, please contact me.
I think this one is close to a release candidate.
Thank you all for testing.
Great app, thank you. Will test it.
Very good app! running fine on CM9
Added 2.0 Beta5 to first post.
This version has a complete redesign of the widget. It is still not perfect but should scale better on different resolutions and should work better on ICS and up.
Couple feature suggestion
1. Re-sizable widget for touchwiz (or 5x1 widget )
2. Transparent widget
Works pretty fast on galaxy note,
1st version released to play store
The first version is now released to play store.
Additionally I added the release version to the first post.
Thanks to all testers and stay tuned. If new beta versions are available I will post them here.
Very nice. Only suggestion I have is to offer different weather icons.
Net me try the apps

Hi everyone! Im the developer of Moogly, a simple but useful todo list widget that started as a project for Honeycomb. The pr is after the break.
There have been reports that it doesnt work properly on some devices! If someone could be so kind as to try the Lite version and if it doesnt stretch properly, send me some screenshots and log files!
You can also post issues at the main thread:

Thanks in advance!

MOOGLY
A simple but powerful to do list widget designed to be customized. Now with auto-hiding buttons!
Features:
★ Multiple independent, scrollable widgets
★ Quick, dialog based entry
★ Tick to delete or mark complete
★ Widgets are optimized for Honeycomb
★ Predefined themes or total customization
★ RTL support
★ Custom image backgrounds
This widget was inspired by To Do List from HTC Sense - for some reason, they were the only ones to get it right.
Lite Market link - restricted to 8 entries and only one widget
https://market.android.com/details?id=fahrbot.apps.moogly.lite&feature=search_result
Screens:
And any issues with it not appearing in the widget picker until reboot?
None for me... sometimes other widgets havent shown till reboot though, i just assume its something to do with my rom. In any case, its not a big issue!
Works great here
P1000 Euro with GB 2.3.3 - Overcome 7 series v4.0.0
saw it on widget list right away, was able to add, all widget sizes seem ok.
Excellent, at least now i know this is just a widget picker issue on some roms, not an issue with Moogly. Thanks.
Hi guys. There will be a nice update for you tomorrow! Color coding and sorting!

I try to do the same thing and it runs.
I saw the error on the market and it seems a very strange error coming from a missing string resource but the string resource is well in the application because for others devices it runs well.
Could you tell me what is your device please ?
Sylvain.
Galaxy Nexus 4.0.3( http://fitsnugly.euroskank.com/skankwich/?id=maguro)
The app doesn't respond to the soft key menu button, and the in app menu button makes it FC. Just tested it on my Nexus One thats also on 4.0.3, and exactly the same happens there.

A little detail about the LiveWeather Lite Action bar. It's a custom Action bar that emulates Ice Cream Sandwich Action bar for older versions of Android.
So for the moment, there is no connexion between hardware Android menu button and that Action bar.

Good job !!
Hey,
I had this (huge, at least for me review written, then at the end hit backspace and freakin firefox took me a page back. WTF Firefox, I could kill you for that.
Anyway, so here is the short version:
Love your amazing design, with one exception of the settings menu (where you can choose the titel and all that)
I could not quite work out the difference between the up-down arrows and the left-right arrows
I did not understand the option to display as a list. I just didn't understand what it does
The text size didn't always work properly, sometimes when I would choose a bigger text size, it would actually be smaller
Everytime I had the widget done, I always had to manually resize it, but I guess that was because of sense
The widget itself was always just one big text and not nicely organized the news thread on the webpage, so the widget itself was kind of useless to me
One more tip; if you had chosen more than one element (e.g. an entire news thread), that it then should just open the single element, not the entire website with all the elements
Again great work guys!
The two websites I tried it with:
apktops
manga-access
Not sure what your problem with the menu is... its just like any other android menu.
Regarding the arrows - they will work better or borse, it all depends on the content.
"Use all as list" - this will use all the items listed below in list form, instead of just the element you clicked on.
Havent seen any problems with text size from anyone else, so most likely user error there, or some sort of parsing issue on the sites themselves.
We will make a bunch of sizes in the next release.
Lol.
Not going to happen.

Don't feed the idiots
Been using Meta Widget to display headlines from sites for a while. Not much to complain because it does what I want it to do. Only thing I would like toe see is the option to make the widget title bold or underlined.

Hi, so I've been playing around a lot with your app. First, I love it, it's great!
I tried sending feedback via the app, and the email returned, as unable to be sent to that address.
I would like to see 3 things, if possible:
1, being able to select a certain time frame on a calendar day.
2, exportable data, even just exportable to CSV or a spreadsheet... Something simple, or if possible with the maps engine api, the kml data...don't know which is more complicated....
3, quick screenshot capability...
I believe these 3 improvements would make your app stand out among the current ones and any future apps.
Thanks for your time and consideration

Great app, some improvement suggestions
I just found this app, tried it out and liked it very much. There are a few things I would like to suggest that can be improved. Some of them are very minor, others will be more work, I guess.
UI
- I would love to see a German version, and I am willing to contribute the German translation. If you want implement this, maybe you want to put it on one of the community translation services on the 'net. If you prefer, I can also just send an email.
- Also, the German text in Play Store definitely needs to be changed. Let me know if you want me to re-word it.
- The format in the title bar does not follow the local OS settings for date format. I see 15-02-2015 where (in Germany) I would expect "15.2.2015" or "15. Feb. 2015".
- same in the "Log" page.
- Also, the "14-01-2015 was registered 529 places." is not correct English. I am not a native speaker either, so I can only make a suggestion. How about "14-01-2015: 529 places recorded"
- When I tap on a red dot, the date has an extra "y.", for example "14 Januar 2015 y., 12:34:13." Also, there should be a dot after the day (i.e, "14.").
- the three dots usually open an app's menu. Here, they open a selector for the map style only, and the app menu is part of the left slide-out. So the three dots should be replaced with an icon that indicates this is *not* the app menu.
- when the grey "timeline" window is open, I slide the marker through the timeline, and that works nicely. However, when I start sliding from the far left, I open the date picker instead. I think the date picker should open only if I slide in the main map window, not when I slide in the time line window.
Features:
- the "Start day of week" should be used from the system settings. I do not think there is a need to make it configurable in the app.
- biggest request, I guess: make it possible to see more than one day. Maybe in the date picket, add a way to select a duration?
- it would also be great if it was possible to "zoom in" in the timeline window (by pinch-to-zoom), so it'd be possible to get the time more precisely. That would, of course, require a way to scroll that window horizontally, which collides with sliding through the timeline as it is implemented now. Maybe scrolling could be automatic when the timelien cursor goes near either edge of the screen?
- also, it would be nice to be able to close the timeline by just fling it down.
As you can see, except for the multi-day feature, all my comments are for rather minor issues, which means that in my opinion the app is already very good!
Cheers
