Free Wacom Bamboo Paper notebook app on Google Play - Galaxy Note 8.0 (Tablet) Themes and Apps

Wacom has published the Bamboo Paper notebook app on Google Play. It's free with the premium features, for the time being, although that may change. Features include incorporating documents, photos, files and links from Dropbox, sharing via the app of your choice, etc. Works very nicely and stylishly on the Note. You can also write and draw with your fingers, without the S-pen, while the text shows up as if written with a pen. Only works in portrait orientation.

Many thanks for that, will give it a shot!

Exports as images, so you can share, and I guess if the recipient has same app they can continue working with the file. I'm not the developer, though, probably it's an idea to leave feedback with them. If it's feedback to us here, how about suggesting a more versatile free equivalent app, please?

papyrus. has cloud storage etc.. get 2 week free trials for all the premium features.. and if you run out, you can just backup your notes to dropbox, wipe app data, reactivate trials, and restore notes from dropbox.

Or you could just buy the plus features ($3 for cloud and $3 for tools = $6 total).
How much did you spend for your tablet?

Whatever it was that money went to Samsung and the retailer you bought it from. Does Amazon or BestBuy deserve your money more than the developers of the apps you use?
You're posting on XDA which is geared towards developers.

I'm a bit confused by the "new" release of the Bamboo Paper app. I have had this app on my Note 8 since not long after I bought it. Had it on my S4 as well. It was ported over from an Asus tablet a ways back if I am not mistaken so I'm confused by all the hype as of late.
EDIT...Checked and it was actually myself that posted the app in this forum exactly a year ago today: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2378126

Never found how to enable palm rejection.

Photoshop touch

Hi! I know it' officially cokpatible only from Android 3.1 and above, but since our Note has the 1280*800 resolution, wouldn't be nice to have the Photoshop Touch app available for it? Can it be ported, after buying the apk on the market?
Sent from my GT-N7000
That might possibly be considered warez as you would be making a paid app work on a device that it was not intended for. I know that you are saying that you would buy it first... I don't know.
In answer to your question though, yes, it theoretically possible.
Perhaps just play with the apps that are available right now to get acquainted with the s-pen and once ICS lands on the notes we will be able to get official support for PSt on them.
my thoughts exactly. would also be nice to have spen functionality!
adobe should consider making a NOTE version!

Not even close to being warez or illegal......
Photoshop Touch is compatible with galaxy note 2.3.6
Here is a video showing it. Watch till the end.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B7H7uk6QvbM
I purchased a copy of Photoshop Touch on my Asus Transformer, so after reading this post, I decided to give it a try on my Note with ICS and to my surprise it runs incredibly well, even better than my Tablet thanks to the SPen.
You can for example, hover the tip of the SPen and get an on-screen visual feedback just as if you where using a Wacom digitizer on a computer. (Yes, our SPen and note are Wacom based)
Here's a screenshot of the pressure settings on the brush pallete.

I was told it's not compatible with the Note (as confirmed by Google Play compatibility check)?
In fact I installed a modded (Google is your friend) version and it's exactly like the copy you have.
It's not compatible because the Note is not yet officially on Android 4.0 which is a requirement for it to work.
My Note is running Android 4.0 as you can see from the screenshot. Also my Photoshop Touch app is not modified in any way. I just extracted the apk from my Tablet and transferred it to my Note.

Eye tracking app - NO NEED FOR S4

Eye tracking app that allows you to do what the S4 does, but now on every android phone! - -
Control your Android with your eyes!
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.drippler.eyecontrol
This feature in Galaxy S4 is known as Eye tracking but you don’t need to buy the might S4 to get this feature, Now you can install and enjoy Eye tracking with any android phone which has a front facing camera. This new feature is very useful while lying on bed or drinking a glass of beer.
Just to be exact, this new feature for all android phones is not a ROM or anything like that. You just need your phone and this app and you are good to go. The developer named as “Dripper” are behind this app and they have done a pretty good job. The first few user reviews are very positive.
Like the Galaxy S4, While watching any video if your ayes are moved away, the video will be automatically stopped and when you are seeing it again, It will play back, This App known as “Eye – Eye tracking for Android” pretty much does the same, and can do most of the things which a galaxy S4 can. So what are you waiting for?

Wish it were true, many disabled persons would benefit
My aunt has degenerative motor disorder and I looked this up because it would have meant the world for her. She can no longer use her hands and fingers. Since she is forced to spend most of her time in bed, having the tablet in front of her and being able to operate it with eye tracking would have effectively made her relatively independent again....at least online.
I know there are computers like TOBI which can do this, but the tablet app option would be much more cost effective.
Alas,

°°PROTEST°° NFL app won't run on rooted phones

As per the subject heading, the NFL's official app chose to not allow access to users with rooted devices.
It seems more and more app makers (from larger companies) are making this decision, and, obviously, it's lame... and of course they have the right to do this (so please don't argue that point) but it goes against the concept of Android's openness.
So, even if you have no interest in the NFL, I encourage all of you to download the app from the play store and review it at 1 STAR as a sign of protest. I've seen the app's rating go from 4.7 to 4.0 in the last couple days due to all the rooted users protesting the NFL's choice to do this.
Cheers

went to verizon today and bought the 64 gb note 5. would have liked it today but they didnt have any, so i ended up paying $15 to have it by 10:30am next day. special thanks to my note 2 for 2.5 great years.(it will still be a back up for me)
I'm getting mine tomorrow at best buy on Verizon around 1pm.
white or black 64 gb???
I became an owner of the 64GB black sapphire version this morning at 8:53am. Retired my Note 3 after 2 years. Very happy so far.
Praying that someone will be able to root it. Would love to remain stock, but have the ability to debloat properly, run my root file explorers, as well as Xposed framework/modules (primarily RootCloak).
