AOSB - General Questions and Answers

Anyone try this ROM with mako? Many of the web links from the thread seem to fail and can't seem to get the aosb OTA app that's built in to find new gapps or rom updates. The rom has some great potential otherwise

Android 4.4-Facebook badly optimised?

So I flashed the stock 4.4 rom (the nexus 5 port) onto my nexus 4. But the Facebook app keeps jumping.
I was just wondering if it's happening to others or if it's my ROM or Facebook not being optimised correctly or if there is some kind of known fix?
Thanks for your help in advanced

Did you try a another ROM? because stock 4.4 works fine with FB for me.
Also there is a Nexus 4 Section, it would be better if you post this there with more information : Like which ROM precisely.

4.4.2 Gapps

I'm on a #d2vzw running Cm11 4.4.2 nightly update using Kanged 20131117 gapps. Is there a newer gapp package for 4.4.2 with dialer & Art compatible?

There is an unofficial version somewhere but TKruzze just posted a new version and also said he'll be updated the other versions later today as well as adding a separate option for the dialer.

CM links not working

I wanted to download the CM10.2 but the link provided in the official thread takes me to download CM11. I've searched literally everywhere and still getting the same results. Is it not available anymore?

Clarification about the model name for downloading ROMs

I wanna download a rom using the app "Rom installer" according to the app my phone (Verizon HTC one m8) is called htc_m8wl yet for some reason I remember it being m8vzw. To make matters worse, when I went to the cyanogenmod website it just had a general m8 rom with no distinctions for different carriers /variants. Can someone clear this up for me?

M8wlv is verizon
So should I download roms that way?

Cm will run fine on all m8 variants. Cm has built it so they only have one to maintain and not so many different versions.

Aosp kernel s??

Is anyone working on AOSP kernels for the D850? I ask is because every AOSP ROM that I run gets kernel panics when I tether or when I download ROM files etc. Would be awesome to see @faux123 over in our growing Dev section. I don't know a custom kernel can fix these it would be nice.

Two words weeks have gone by and still nothing. Tectas says hell get to one by that could take awhile as he makes kernels for all variants of our phone but only for stock based ROM's so far.
