[Q] Tablet turning itself off around 15% - Galaxy Tab 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys, I've been experiencing some issues about my Tab 2's battery. It all started some hours ago.
I was chatting with a friend, then it suddenly turned off. I knew something was wrong, because it wasn't even near 4% yet.
Plugged it to the charger and couldn't turn it on before waiting at least 10 minutes. When I turned it on, I took the cable off and quickly opened an app to show battery stats. Something caught my eye.
With 17%, the battery had almost 3000mV, and that was really weird (I've heard it should be around 3370mV at this percentage).
What should I do? Calibrate my battery is a choice?

[Q] Phone turned off out of a sudden, got very hot

Today I had my sensation in my backpack for an hour or two. When I took it out, I realiezd it was VERY hot (Maybe 40 degrees, but not just in one place, all around the phone...) and the screen wouldn't turn on. I then opened it, removed battery and reinserted it. Then the device booted. I checked my battery status, and it had dropped by about 40%. Also, the battery usage shows that WiFi was turned on until the point where the battery dropped. But I'm pretty sure I had turned it off (Using the HTC widget). Have you experienced anything similar yet? Do you think this problem could be WiFi-related? I hope it doesn't happen again... Phone is only two weeks old. I didn't try any overclocking or the like.
never heard of this problem before

[Q] About charging.

Hi guys,
I got my A700 today and after I totally used up the battery I plugged in the charger.
When turning the device on Android (and the LED) were both indicating that it's charging. I used it all the time and noticed the device isn't really charging. It's 1% to 5% and then 1% again. It's weird. I know I am using it, but is that costing so much power it's not charging at all?
I ajusted the brightness, but that doesn't really change. I have not been trying to turn it into standby modus and then charge it. But the main question is: Does anybody else experience this?
Edit:
Okay, so apparantly that is completely normal. I turned my tablet into stand by for a few minutes and it's now 11%.
Wow, that is one power hungry monster then.

[Q] battery discharge even when turned off

My phone is discharging even when is turned off!
Besides it have high battery drain compared to my BravoC, which in stand by last for days.
This Inspire 4G last max 15 hours, changed the radio, and flashed it to reach that, before it lasted ~9 hours max. I'm talking in stand by, not even using it nor data/wifi/gps turned on. I have checked the processor use and it was in deepsleep most of the time.
Yesterday I fully charged it and inmediately turned it off. Today I tried to turn it on but is dead, completely drained. The battery is new and it does have the sufficient capacity, i mean is not a battery failure (checked it with a hobby charger).
I bought the phone on ebay, it has the volume up button dead, so I dissasembly it to if it can be fixed easily and found out that the phone was previously open. Also the screen seems to be a replacemente (a crappy one) since the light bleed in the dark state is high, alsio the light bleed at high angles. This would explain the high drain using it, but not the drain when is turned off.
Anyone have any idea of what it may be? maybe something not connected properly when it was repaired before or a short circuit anywhere?? or is a deeper failure and there's nothing that can be done?
I'm saving for a One X in the meanwhile but i'd like to fox this in the meanwhile since i won't be buying it anytime soon

[Q] Battery crash?

Hello,
I bought this phone a month ago. At first the battery lasted quite well, I got around 5 hours of screen time with battery life to spare. Unfortunately, about 2 weeks ago I accidentally left the phone under my pillow and fell asleep on it- causing it to overheat a tad bit (I woke up 3 hours later and it was very warm to the touch and had turned off). After charging it up, I continued to use it normally but noticed that the battery would drain a little bit quicker than normal. Before I could easily go around 10 hours with heavy use and have 40% battery left, now after 10 hours it's left with about 15-20%. I am a heavy user but I haven't properly checked how much screen time I'm getting now, however I'll update that later.
As for the main problem- last night I charged my phone before sleeping (100%) and when I woke up in the morning it was turned off. I turned it on only to see that my battery had drained to 0% while on standby all night- whereas overnight I usually only lose around 2-3% battery.
After charging my phone up for 15 minutes- the battery level again returned to 100%. I only charge my phone through my laptop via USB. What happened here? Is my battery deteriorating? Should I get the phone replaced? I would appreciate any input on the matter. Thanks.
Also I've attached the screenshots showing how my battery died and how it was quickly restored. Can someone explain this occurrence?

Your sudden battery drop has nothing to do with what happened before.
Several people already mentioned this sudden battery drop as you can read in this thread, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2545553 and http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2678909
No reason to return your device, its a know issue.
Drain your battery completly then charge your phone to 100%, turn the phone one and leave it to charge a hour more. Essentialy you have to recalibrate your battery.
So a brief update regarding SOT.
I left home with 90% charge this morning. Used the phone for 8 hours and it went down to 20% - granted, with heavy use.
Got 4.5 hours of SOT. Is this about average? imo I feel like this falls a bit below average. Ill check other threads as well and compare, but as far as I know, I feel like I should be getting a *little* more juice out of my phone. Data connection was on throughout, and some games were played and pictures taken.
Anyone else feel like they're getting sub-par use out of their battery?
*screenshots provided.
- checked the other threads, looks like ~5 hrs SOT is the most this phone puts out?
Same here.
Are there any news from Motorola?

Z3 Dual battery levels jumps arround..

Hello everyone,
I've bought an used Z3 dual couple days ago,and after having it for some days now I noticed that the battery jumps around, for example from 88% to 50% then 32% then goes back to 88%..
That usually happens when I'm running heavy apps, like camera which caused a phone overheating as far as I noticed.
Anyways,Yestrday I fully charged the phone and when I plug it from the charger it does down to 50%,it stayed at that level for almost 24hours.Few hours ago the phone suddenly the phone turn off (while the battery was still 50%).But After putting the phone in the charger, the phone keep showing "charging icon" and turning off.It was like this for 30min and it is not charging at all..
Have anyone been in the same situation before ? What could be the problem ? and how would I solve it ?
Waiting your kind replies..
That sounds like the phone battery is literally dying.
Don't think that it is a software problem you could solve on your own.
You could try this though, doesn't hurt if you do the Method 1:
