Call recording on the OnePlus - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Does anyone have experience with a working call recording app (or Xposed module) for the OnePlus?
I bought Call recorder ( com.skvalex.callrecorder ) but it didn't work.. (only the default call API, which sounded like robot voices)

don't think there is a mod for this on any CM or AOSP based roms nor do any call recording apps, i just searched like a mofo for it but could find anything. Found a bunch of touchwiz tutorials but that does no good.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.appstar.callrecorder&hl=en

anyone find anything ?

I use this app called Call recorder and I have the paid version. The trick for me to get both people recorded was to change the setting in the audio source settings to Mic. Works great for me on the OPO...https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=polis.app.callrecorder&hl=en

I used the app "automatic call recorder" on stock and mahdi, its free and perfect no problems whatsoever. I didn't need to change anything, both line and mic sounds are recorded loud enough.

+1 I've been using this app for awhile now and it's great.

May be, after all, call recording is possible?

I'm on LiquidSmooth and call recording is possible natively just by small build prop edit. I'm assuming it works on other roms as well but didn't try yet!
Sent from my One using XDA Free mobile app

I think this could be possible if someone will be able to port the needed files from the latest CM11 Nightly over to CM11S - not sure if its only the telephone part or if there are also framework changes needed

Yes it works with that edit with cm nightly, with the app mentined in OP. Dont know about 11s.

This works flawless on my one plus one.. only thing is that it records the call during the ring as well.

Yes, is the same. It`s present in some ROMS like Enomther and CM.
I'm using aFirewall. It does the job real nice. Since i get my nexus and installed aFirewall, never more i Was interrupted with anonimous calls, or get my sleep time interrupted with annoying phone calls. Being able to stop phone calls from especĂfic people is a nice feature. You should give it a try.

Yes. Search in this forum for Cytown to go to the original thread. Or you can
extract the file "Phone.apk" of the Enomther ROM, for example, and push it
to your ROM. It`s located in the "system/app" folder.
Good luck!
EDIT: Don`t probe to push it to a Desire ROM, simply don`t work.

CM7.1 Bug List/Feature requests (G-FIT CyanogenMod Devs please read)

Hey XDA developers.
We have many talented developers here at XDA (Unfortunately I am not one of them).
I think for the owners of the Galaxy fit, I can say for many of us, we were glad that a talented developer amongst a few was able to bring us CM7.1. So at this point I would like to say a big thanks to vishwanathptl for bringing us the CM7.1 ROM here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1324190
and I would like to say thanks to squadzone for bringing us an OC kernel here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1333883
Most of the Bugs are fixed, but there still just a few to kill off.
So here we go.
Basically I would like this thread to serve as a Bug/Fix request list for the Developers we have here for CM7.1 or for those who wish to help us. Hopefully we can get these bugs solved . Also I think it would be good to allow for suggestions also.
Bug list:
1. Camera. When setting Volume buttons for the ''Zoom'' buttons, it does not work, neither does setting the power button as the ''Take picture'' button.
2. Apparently you cannot make international calls ? (Cannot verify)
3. Occasionally the market place app will crash with a message of ''The application market (processcom.android.vending) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again''. Unfortunately this is very intermittent but I did not get this with any other ROMs, only this one.
................................................................................................................................................................
Additions/Suggestions:
1 Smart dialer
2 Fonts
3 Task manager
4 Slide to call/text
.................................................................................................................................................................
These current bugs are bug reports I have taken from the above threads.
If anyone has any Bug reports, please post in this thread and I will add them to this list.
I hope this will encourage the developers to help us have a truly complete CM7.1 ROM for our Galaxy fit phones. I have messaged some talented Devs to see if they can use there awesome talents to help us
Thanks guys ! I hope this helps all the great devs out there
Would be good if it has support for
1 Smart dialer
2 Fonts
3 task manager
4 slide to call/text

Hmm I have not notice my phone to randomly reboot. So far the only bugs I have noticed I have listed above. The camera being the main issue. Would be good if we could get the OC kernel integrated as well.

I like CM 7.1 but there are 2 reasons why I should remove it..
1. SIM Menu doesn't function (It says "Please try again later" when I select an option in the SIM)
2. Contacts doesn't detect; SIM is detected but the contacts from the SIM are gone, I need to backup my contacts from my previous ROM to transfer on CM 7.1; and also cannot add contacts on SIM, only GMAIL or PHONE MEMORY
Please if these are fixed I'll stick to CM 7.1 forever

I've been looking for this too, non of the market apps seem to work, but synergy had it working perfectly, but I moved on from that Rom.
I think as long as you are still on a TW ICS ROM you should be able to extract the SecPhone.apk from Synergy and use it as if installing any other apk. (May have to manually replace your current SecPhone.apk or phone.apk whichever you have). If you manually do it you do have to reboot before it will take effect.

Try it yourself lol. Just rename the original secphone.apk.bak that way you can go back. It won't screw anything up that you can't fix by just undoing the same steps.

I honestly use Call Recorder by Skvalex. It works great on AOSP and Touch-Wiz ROMs. It records from the actual line on both incoming and outgoing calls with great quality! Way better than from the microphone! You first have to install AlsaMixer also make by SK Alex. Link here > https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.skvalex.alsamixer . Make sure you download this first before the actuall call recording app! After you download this open it and it will ask you to install Alsa. Make sure you install this, if not it won't record from your line! Than download this > https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.skvalex.callrecorder. This is the actuall call recording app! Open it and under preferences make sure you set your device to Samsung Galaxy S3 (MSM8960) ! Than go under preferences>Advanced and make sure you change incoming calls from disabled to 0.0 or whatever you prefer. Last thing under preferences>experimental features make sure it says Alsa is installed then below that check on App Admin! After all this you will have probably the best call recording app that I have came across! Hope I helped!

I've modified the SecPhone.apk and now it has the record button, however, it responsed nothing when I clicked it...
Does it need any extra libs or apks to support call recording?
I'm attempting to change the folder for the recordings to be saved to my extSdCard, but I'm having an issue entering the name, as the number of characters I can enter are limited. And when I do enter a name with less characters, the recordings are not there in the folder.
Can the folder only be located in the internal memory, or is it just user error?
Wouldn't be the first time or the last

Skvalex already has a button for that. Looks pretty much same as the old ICS button. And I believe it is movable.
call recording
I haven't tried it out. But it seems to be baked into the Axix19 Rom, by Hero. Whenever I'm in a call, there's a "record" button available. BTW - the ROM is by far the best, most stable TW Rom I've tried yet that has multi-window (CleanRom gets my overall stability vote though).
Scratch that. Just tried it. It doesn't seem to work. Strange though. Button is there - clear as day.

Worked great on z1c, but not on my new z3c. Any plans to update?
Works a treat for me on stock 4.4.4, props!
Easiest way to find the recordings is under unknown artist in a music player.
Album is 'RECORDER' so I'd assume they're under a folder of the same name.

Call Recording on OOS 10

Hi, someone has find a good solution (as the previous one in oos9 and earlier) to obtain a functional call reconrding in OOS10?
I need it for work.
Due to the previous module (enable oos call recording) crash in OOS 10, I try anoter module/app (skyvalex) but i can't find a configuration that works for me.

I have that in my GravityBox Xposed module. The option basically enables call recording in stock Phone app.
But not sure if it's a good solution when you are looking only for this function.
In oos 10? Because this module that use hidden recorder in oos, i know that doesn't work on oos 10 but only in oos9 and the previous ones.
Call recording can be enabled with an apk called joneplus and follow the instructions given by the apk itself to modify by adb or root.

Thing is, the magisk module works, when you finish the call a notification is available in drop down, now usually when you click these it would open an app, but this does nothing, the recordings are there as I checked but I can't assign an app default to open as there are no options to do so, anyone else can advise
Which module? The one to enable oos or skvalex? Recordings for oos are in the recorder app and swipe left. Skvalex has it's own app. I use that one with the Google dialer.

Module in this thread bud, not skyvalex.
There is no app, that's my point, it adds call recording to call settings, it works as I can see the recordings in the folder location, call recording is on every call & I can pause it, but when you click on the notification after call ended & it advises call recording done, it doesn't open any app, also there is no app specifically for call recording.
So which app are you using please.
There is an app. It comes in oos. It is called recorder and it is in your list of apps. It is green with a microphone. My previous post described how to use it. It's a great feature. That is the one that works with the oos recording module.
Skvalex, the one being discussed prior to your reply, is also a module. It has its own player.

Do you have a screenshot as there is no op recorder app on my handset & it's running stock 10.0.5.
Only app I recall that resembles that is when you install skyvalex & that went when I uninstalled.

Nope that's not installed on my rom, I recall the icon being there before, but I wonder if op removed it as I haven't or did skyvalex affect when I trialled it.
Anyone got the APK for the app please.
Scrap that found the APK & now clicking notification opens the app & call recordings list.
Im on global rom 10.3.3 and could not found recorder module in magisk (see attached). Help me pls.
