Requires Xposed Framework!
Initially, I started this to add the Answering Machine capability of the Z2 on the Z1, but since 4.4 added that, I dropped it.
This only enables call recording for now.
Compatibility:
Tested on the Xperia Z1. May or may not work on other Xperia devices with 4.3 or above.

I'd need to downgrade, which isn't something I'm planning to do.
Plus, backspaced all the progress I made before releasing this, and apparently I can't undo to that point.
Sorry.

@MohammadAG can you make a mod to make the incall's image fullscreen?
Could you please tell me how to access the recording, after a call? Thanks!
Edit: I figured it out, it's in the recorder folder.

Is there any way to automatically save recordings to external sd-card?
Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk
For me it worked, recorded about 1 minute, whole call. Will test more yet.
I am interested to have recordings on external SD, too.
(KK 4.4.4 - 108, stock)
Ok so I installed and enabled this. Now how does it work? There's no settings, does record every call automatically? Can I turn it off and on? Where do the calls save? What format are the audio files?
Worked great on z1c, but not on my new z3c. Any plans to update?
Works a treat for me on stock 4.4.4, props!
Easiest way to find the recordings is under unknown artist in a music player.
Album is 'RECORDER' so I'd assume they're under a folder of the same name.

Xrecorder on Xposed has this ability.
XRecorder works only on its developer phone. See the developer answer on PlayStore comments.

Any chances that recorder can use calling number as saved recording filename?
If number is hidden it still can use timestamp as it does now.

I've been looking for this too, non of the market apps seem to work, but synergy had it working perfectly, but I moved on from that Rom.
I think as long as you are still on a TW ICS ROM you should be able to extract the SecPhone.apk from Synergy and use it as if installing any other apk. (May have to manually replace your current SecPhone.apk or phone.apk whichever you have). If you manually do it you do have to reboot before it will take effect.

Shh! maybe I'm just paranoid, but I think people are listening....
Try it yourself lol. Just rename the original secphone.apk.bak that way you can go back. It won't screw anything up that you can't fix by just undoing the same steps.

I found a zip the other day, now I can't find the forum post but I still have the zip and ran it in recover. It works like a charm on clean rom 3.0, implemented (I guess that's right) just like the synergy call recording.

Total Recall by Killer Mobile in the Market works flawlessly.
Been using it for months.
It's a paid app after the initial trial period, but well worth the money, imo.

I honestly use Call Recorder by Skvalex. It works great on AOSP and Touch-Wiz ROMs. It records from the actual line on both incoming and outgoing calls with great quality! Way better than from the microphone! You first have to install AlsaMixer also make by SK Alex. Link here > https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.skvalex.alsamixer . Make sure you download this first before the actuall call recording app! After you download this open it and it will ask you to install Alsa. Make sure you install this, if not it won't record from your line! Than download this > https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.skvalex.callrecorder. This is the actuall call recording app! Open it and under preferences make sure you set your device to Samsung Galaxy S3 (MSM8960) ! Than go under preferences>Advanced and make sure you change incoming calls from disabled to 0.0 or whatever you prefer. Last thing under preferences>experimental features make sure it says Alsa is installed then below that check on App Admin! After all this you will have probably the best call recording app that I have came across! Hope I helped!

I've modified the SecPhone.apk and now it has the record button, however, it responsed nothing when I clicked it...
Does it need any extra libs or apks to support call recording?
I'm attempting to change the folder for the recordings to be saved to my extSdCard, but I'm having an issue entering the name, as the number of characters I can enter are limited. And when I do enter a name with less characters, the recordings are not there in the folder.
Can the folder only be located in the internal memory, or is it just user error?
Wouldn't be the first time or the last

Skvalex already has a button for that. Looks pretty much same as the old ICS button. And I believe it is movable.
call recording
I haven't tried it out. But it seems to be baked into the Axix19 Rom, by Hero. Whenever I'm in a call, there's a "record" button available. BTW - the ROM is by far the best, most stable TW Rom I've tried yet that has multi-window (CleanRom gets my overall stability vote though).
Scratch that. Just tried it. It doesn't seem to work. Strange though. Button is there - clear as day.

Thank you for the instructions! Now I have it working on CM10.1 Android 4.2.2
Hi, this is a simple app that I created using tasker.
My Note 3 doesnt have the option to turn off the shutter sound, this is why I made this app.
Originally made for my Samsung Note 3, but I've tried on Samsung Note 2 and it also works.
Basically it just mutes that annoying shutter sound without Root.
Some Samsung devices don't have this option.
Anyways, don't have a good icon yet but once I do have a good icon I'll post in in playstore as well.
Anyone has a good icon?
Now it only works for Stock Camera app.
How It works:
If you launch your camera, it will mute your phone, if you exit the camera application it will restore the sound of your phone.. that simple.
Disclaimer:
- In some places, muting your camera shutter isn't permitted. Please obey local laws.
By installing Camera Mute, you agree that the author of the application will not be held responsible in any actions that you make.

Changelog:
Version 1.0 - 10/28/13 - Initial Release
Version 1.1 - 10/29/13 - New UI
Version 1.2 - 10/30/13 - Added support for Lenovo's Super Camera (Tested on Lenovo P780)

Hear a small beep sound after you exit the camera application?
What Camera Mute does is it mutes your phone when you are running the camera application, and it unmutes the phone when you exit.
When you put your phone on silent mode then put it back to normal mode you will hear a small beep. Its the same beeping sound that you will hear when you exit your camera. This is due to how Android was designed. As of now, I don't know if its possible to mute that sound as well without ROOT access. Please don't post that Camera Mute doesn't work in case you hear that sound. I've designed the application to silence the shutter, and nothing more.
Doesn't work for you? Read this part
- If this app doesn't work for you, you can help me out by sending me the camera app name and package name.
1) Download the app called ApkSpy by ido, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1115021
2) Drop your camera apk file and send me a screenshot or the name of the app name and package name.
or send me the apk file please email it to [email protected]
In order to get the apk file from your phone I use an awesome tool name Apk Share & Backup by KN Inc.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kayan.nurav.apkshare&hl=en
This app was done using Tasker, please support Tasker by Crafty Apps.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.dinglisch.android.taskerm&hl=en
Limitations:
Some phones doesn't turn off the camera shutter even if you put the phone on silent. If that's the same case with your phone then there is no way that Camera Mute will work.

Update: 11/03/2013
New version will be out soon. I can't do anything about the beep sound when your phone unmutes, however I can delay it. I have updated the program (soon to be released) now it has a counter. You will have the option to change the seconds on when the phone unmutes. Its the only workaround I can think of right now. Would anyone be interested in that feature? Example I have the counter set to 5seconds, so after you exit the camera app, it will take 5 seconds before you will hear that beep sound.
thanks works great on my VZ N3! Exactly what I was looking for! Cheers!:good::good:
App updated, now supports Lenovo's Super Camera and Huawei's Stock Camera.
It works on my S3. Thank you.
Edit: the only problem is it beeps when you exit out of camera app. Not exactly a complete silence. LOL Perhaps you can fix that...

Anyone using any call rec app for cos 12.1 rom?
Basically what the title says, I was wondering if there is an app (or xposed module) that allows me to trick an app into thinking that the device is a tablet...
If anyone is asking why would I want an app like this, I mainly want this because of spotify... I cannot stand listening to certain songs, but I cannot skip them because I don't want to pay 5 € a month for something I can have for free...
If anyone can help me, I would really appreciate it
You could try the Xposed module App Settings to set a custom DPI for Spotify app. If you do it right, then the app should think that it's running on a tablet and hopefully it'll use a tablet UI.

Never mind, the solution to the problem is tabletmetrics...
Just enable it on xposed, reboot and poof! I can listen to whatever I please
Now Spotify do Not allow to reproduce the music I want, it force me to listen playlist randomized. Any idea?

Q: AOSP Settings
A: I will make a AOSP Theme which adds AOSP Design everywhere on the ROM e.g. Settings,Icons,Navbar and others! But give me time for that! I'm not a Themer:angel:
Q: Contacts and Dialer
A: The Sony Dialer has some nice Features like Noise Cancceling,Phone answering machine and some others. I will try to Theme it in AOSP Style (e.g. accent colors and launcher Icon) same for Contacts. I know the Sony Icon's looks ugly between all this Google Icons... but like i said. I need time to make a Xperia Theme in AOSP style since there is no theme like this atm.
Thanks for using Q&A Feature!:good:
EDIT: Testing now the Google Dialer and Google Contacts... If it works,i will include it!
Is there a chance you can bring back the video editor from Sony's stock ROM? Without it the the slow motion video doesn't work.
So when I call somebody I get the Sony In Call UI, but when someone calls me i get the Google Call UI, maybe you can make it so the Google UI is present in outgoing calls too?
