[Completed] Transparent Notification Panel for Android 4.1.2 - XDA Assist

I'm working on a CM 10.0 based custom rom for my device samsung galaxy chat b5330. I want to add a transparent notification bar to my rom. I'd seen there are mods n tweaks available for this purpose. But can't seem to find a good one for android 4.1.2. Please redirect me to some useful mods. Thanks

The android development and hacking section would be a great place to look

If you can't find the info you need searching there then it would be a great place to ask to find help
Best of luck!

[Completed] [Q] Is there a compatibility mode for 5.1 Lolipop?

I found a thread of similar title, but didn't want to hijack it.
I have a Nexus 6 xt1103 running Chroma 3/27 build 5.1 Lollipop. The app in question is SUFBS 3.86. Yes, it is an old one. But IMHO it is better than most if not all the other root file explorer apps out there. It worked OK on stock rooted 5.0.1 on my phone. And it probably works fine on this ROM, but I just cannot get it to look right. I did some searching and there was some talk of using the old Spare Parts app and disable compatibility mode to make it look right. Well Spare Parts is out of date as well, sort of. I don't want to spend $2.49 on another outdated app to just see if it will fix the view for this other app I already spent money on.
Here's a screenshot for what it's worth:
If anyone is familiar with SUFBS, you can see that most of the features are no longer accessible.
TIA.
Bump please.

[Q] Paid rom

Hi, is there a website out there where you can pay for a professional developer to customised a rom for a specific android device ?
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. I don't know of any specific sites. But you could check in your device's specific forum. There may be a developer there that would be interested. If I knew your device I could point you there.
I am very happy with the support I get with most of my device but not for my note edge exynos 915k please advice

All right, there's not a lot development for your device. Since you're a senior member you can probably find these on your own but i did find these:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-edge/development/rom-nk5byjafangiev1-t2979453
http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-edge/development/rom-30-nov-tw-kk-4-4-4-skyhigh-v1-0-t2957546
My only suggestion is maybe these developers would be interested or maybe the could help you develop your own rom. There are also a number of guides and tutorials on XDA regarding rom development.
I have been following this but it stop at 4.4.4 and I understand it's not jaf full time. I am hoping for a lollipop rom like there are a few good choices for the snapdragon version. thanks and BTW I am back to 4.4.4 jafs rom as it better than stock 5.0.1

[Completed] Remove Favourite Apps from Lollipop App Drawer?

Hi guys.
I've just started using Lollopop and one of the first things I've noticed is that in my app drawer, there are now 4 apps always at the top that seem to be my most recently used apps.
How do I get rid of this? All I want is my installed apps in alphabetical order. I've looked through the menu but I can't find any kind of menu for changing the app drawer settings, and googling to look for the location of any such menu just gives results on how to install the lollipop app drawer on marshmallow.
I'm using a Nexus 6P incase that's relevant.
Hi,
Thanks for using XDA Assist.
I never used the stock launcher so I can only suggest you to ask in your dedicated forum:

On a side note, it's pretty weird to use the LP launcher on MM

Is there a way to develop a custom ROM for Galaxy ace style by myself? because i've found some threads in forums and I didn't find anything about SM-G310HN model. Can I get some information if someone's developing it, or how can i develop ace style custom ROM? I would post my Custom ROM in XDA Forums

Hi
Thanks for using XDA Assist.
You can read through the official CM wiki that has instructions on how to build or port cyanogen to other devices. Just do a google search for Cyanogenmod development. Or you can also look at this thread for making a port http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1941239
