Hi guys.
I've just started using Lollopop and one of the first things I've noticed is that in my app drawer, there are now 4 apps always at the top that seem to be my most recently used apps.
How do I get rid of this? All I want is my installed apps in alphabetical order. I've looked through the menu but I can't find any kind of menu for changing the app drawer settings, and googling to look for the location of any such menu just gives results on how to install the lollipop app drawer on marshmallow.
I'm using a Nexus 6P incase that's relevant.
Hi,
Thanks for using XDA Assist.
I never used the stock launcher so I can only suggest you to ask in your dedicated forum:

On a side note, it's pretty weird to use the LP launcher on MM

Hello all, I would have liked to search for an answer or post in the correct section, however being that I'm a newby here and this is my first post, I can't do either. Or maybe its just that the search is currently down, either way...
Just bought this device (GT-P3113) and I've already rooted successfully. My question now however is does anybody have a link to a list of apps that are safe to freeze via Titanium Backup? I've looked all over and used the best google-fu I had, no luck finding any such list for this specific device. Thanks for your help! Next up is choosing a quality ROM!
I was just reading this yesterday maybe it will help.?.?

Check out my debloat tool.
I would just do a backup and go through each app that you don't want and freeze it.
When going through I was able to delete/freeze almost every single Samsung Touchwiz apk on the device without any issues what so ever.

rooted stock
i don't really use customs since they have problems in applications (i.e. game freezes, apps crashing)

In my experience some custom ROMs are faster and more stable than stock, but to each his own...
Try this:
http://www.xda-developers.com/android/changing-the-android-status-bar-clock-color-for-beginners/
also, as a suggestion I have a lot of luck just typing in what I am trying to do and "xda" into Google and getting my question answered pretty fast, e.g. Google search "how to change notification bar color in android xda" and it links you to a relevant xda thread about it.
You can also use the search bar at the top as well

Thanks for your help!
Searched before but didn't seem to find what i needed, not everything is on-hand.
I recently rooted my Galaxy S3 from VZW. It's the first time I rooted since my OGDroid. I was wondering if it's possible to run stock AOSP Google Apps with the stock touchwiz rom. There are a few things I like about Touchwiz (believe it or not) and I really don't want to install a ROM right now.
My question is can I install things like the stock AOSP Jelly Bean dialer, launcher, and messenger app on the stock ui? If so, where can I find them? There seem to be a lot of apps claiming to be stock.
No dialer, but you can have the launcher from the okay store: nova, adw, and apex. As for messenger yes you can head to the theme and apps and you'll find it there.

I'm working on a CM 10.0 based custom rom for my device samsung galaxy chat b5330. I want to add a transparent notification bar to my rom. I'd seen there are mods n tweaks available for this purpose. But can't seem to find a good one for android 4.1.2. Please redirect me to some useful mods. Thanks
The android development and hacking section would be a great place to look

If you can't find the info you need searching there then it would be a great place to ask to find help
Best of luck!

I found a thread of similar title, but didn't want to hijack it.
I have a Nexus 6 xt1103 running Chroma 3/27 build 5.1 Lollipop. The app in question is SUFBS 3.86. Yes, it is an old one. But IMHO it is better than most if not all the other root file explorer apps out there. It worked OK on stock rooted 5.0.1 on my phone. And it probably works fine on this ROM, but I just cannot get it to look right. I did some searching and there was some talk of using the old Spare Parts app and disable compatibility mode to make it look right. Well Spare Parts is out of date as well, sort of. I don't want to spend $2.49 on another outdated app to just see if it will fix the view for this other app I already spent money on.
Here's a screenshot for what it's worth:
If anyone is familiar with SUFBS, you can see that most of the features are no longer accessible.
TIA.
Bump please.
