[Q] Hyperion Extended Battery - General Questions and Answers

I didn't get a great answer on the other section, so I'll try it as its own post. I recently purchased the Hyperion Samsung Galaxy S4 7500mAh Extended Battery with NEW MicroPack Technology. It is the same size as their 5200mah battery. The battery life doesn't seem to be anywhere near 7500mah. Is this "MicroPack Technology" a scam? Is there anyway I can check the actual mah of the battery? Thank you for the help.

How about you consider an external battery charger?
There is plenty on mobile fun.com that you should check out!
I have a anker battery 1800 Mah and its crap its real capacity is 1500 just like standard one it weighs the same as well .....bought from anker web site too ..shame looks good but performs same as normal one....stick to momax 2700 as I have that as well and it last a very long time when used correctly
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App

How long does it take for the Anker one to charge ?

Extra battery comparison

So I have the TMobile S4, the regular battery, Anker's 2600 mAh batteries, and unbranded 3000 mAh batteries from ebay.
What's the go-to battery tracking app? I'd love to know how these things really are, because just as I expected, the 3000 unbranded batteries don't seem to be lasting as long as either of the 2600's.

As a general rule of thumb, it won't ever last as long. You can't put more battery into the same space ( generally speaking ) or it would come that way from the factory. To get a bigger charge battery, you get a bigger ( physical ) battery along with the new phone back.

I feel the anker battery is a bit stronger than the stock, and the ebay batteries go way too quick, so I really wanted to test them. I figured the ebay battery would be a little thicker and I'd leave the back cover off, but the case on, but it still fits under the cover.

I thing, from Galaxy S3 battery are usually with NFC able, but i will ask question from that about this. Even , I need strong battery, because i make couple days testing. My opinion: LTE (4G) network is worster from 3G for original 2600 mAh battery life, and for my way using, on 4G my original battery about hallf of thay live. Not enought for me, because i order this 5200 mAh (2 pieces, because i have speciall universal Sohsine charger for all handys). Wenn coming after test will request opinion about.

high capacity batteries

Hello guys, I wonder if you can help me at all. I have a Samsung gt-i9000 running android 4.3 at the moment . When I upgraded the OS (I was on 4.0) I have noticed that the battery life decreased dramatically, It lasts no longer than half a day. I have already changed one battery but with not much success, so
I started to look into high capacity ones. I had a look around and found a few reviews here and there but not specifically for the gt-i9000 – even this useful one here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1956293 . So I wonder:
1)has anybody tried one of these high capacity batteries on the gt-i9000? I looked at the zerolemon 7500mAh and the anker 52000mAh - although I don't know whether these are compatible with my phone;
2)I presume that the high capacity batteries are actually thicker than the default 1500mAh I have at the moment, so when you buy one do they come with another back cover?

Hi, I recently bought a Polarcell 1800mAh battery on Ebay which gives me half a day more juice on Galaxy running CM 10.2. I found out that all batteries above this capacity are massively thicker than the original one and do require a wider back cover. Most of these bigger ones are shipped together with a back cover.
Regarding your questions about the zerolemon, I only found batteries for the S2 and the S3 which wont fit for the S1.
not your battery at fault, sounds like you got wakelock issues. with your rom.
thanks guys.
@zegovernator I think I need something more powerful than 1800mAh so I might need to get a bulky one. I have found this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3000mAh-B...-Extended-with-Black-back-cover-/150981110923 that seems to be good enough.
@slybunda, thanks for your comment. If it is an issue with that, would you know how to fix it without me buying another battery?
thanks
use app called better battery stats and see the individual wakelocks I had issues with google currents and hangouts both which I don't use so I disabled them and got my full battery life back. have a look for one of my posts in the i9000 battery threads got screenshots of very good battery life
Got 1800 battery from Anker, very good.
Only charges slowly with the car adapter.
Depends on kernel and rom for how long it lasts.. Was very good using android 4.3 but recently battery was discharging fast after gapps update.
Fine again now on kitkat
Buy from Ebay 1800 in good price,I did =)

Does anyone have experience with Hyperion Micropack or other high mAh batteries?

Amazon has a Hyperion Micro pack battery which claims to have 3800mah packed into the size of the original s5 battery size (2800mah). Does anyone have any experience with these type of batteries ? Do they deliver or is it just fake hype?
Thanks
Definitely fake hype, there's no way they can pack 35% more juice in the same space. There's a thread regarding a "4300mAh" battery where the poster said it was better than the stock battery.
I do think they are just a tad bit thicker than the original battery, probably by a hair so I wouldn't be surprised if it was really a 2900-3000mAh battery which would give you the impression battery life is slightly better.

Do you have experience with these type of batteries or are you just assuming?
I have it. Came in the mail today. Bought 2x Micropack with wall charger. Label says capacity is 3800mah which I know is BS, but I needed extra batteries. I'm testing it out now.
Some notes comparing with OEM.
- NFC works
- Same dimensions
- It's weight is lighter.
- Drains ( percentage wise) faster.
- On first charge, charged faster.
My initial impressions tell me it's mah capacity is lower than OEM. I'll see if performance improves or not after a few more charge cycles.

What's there to assume? Hyperion is a good company, but mAh rating is clearly subjective to them especially in the case of these batteries. Just Google search it if you don't believe me, it is fact that it's impossible to have that much higher capacity in the same battery size made with the same metals.
I had a 3800 mAh Hyperion battery for my S3 and it was fantastic.

stock vs zerolemon vs external battery

i searched for a thread about this., i found none so here is my question.
i have galaxy s5 on at&t, with stock battery. i also have a zerolemon 8500 and an anker 7500 that i use too. my question is do you use stock battery or use stock battery and then change to a zerolemon or anker batter when your stock battery dies, or do you just use a zerolemon or anker battery or do you use stock battery with an external battery charger, i want to here your opinions on this specially if you work and go to college like i do. thanks for the input.
Collage life here. Usage from 8 until 17-19 o'clock. Can be from light usage to heavy ( music, taking pics of the presentation, audio recording, all these dropbox upload,...). I have the stock battery, an EasyAcc 10.000 and EasyAcc 3800. Personally I hate powerpacks because they are limited to a certain device whereas a portable battery gives you the freedom to charge everything

Ever since I got the Zerolemon 8500mah battery/case, I haven't gone back to anything else, I am a heavy user and I can go easy 2 days with one charge. My stock battery is collecting dust, also there is no point in switching batteries specially the Zerolemon one since once its in, its a pain to get out.
