[Help] Screen won't power on - Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE

So I've been having an issue that the screen won't power on. I've put the screen on other photon Qs and it works fine. I'm curious if the board has a backlight coil that powers the screen if so does anyone know where it's located? No water damage just stored working.

[Q] not waking after call

Hi I have a problem with my Desire S. Recently got update now I when I receive a text or call when it next sleeps it will not wake when I press the power button.
If I pull the battery out it reboots fine and if I plug in the power cable it wakes up but not from the power button and its not exactly easy to just quickly slip the battery out of this thing.
I've done a hard reset (volume power button thing) but the problems still there has anyone any ideas for a fix.
Wondering about how to go back to last version is it possible?
You should be aware that it's extremely risky removing the battery from a running phone, there is a real chance that you'll damage the phone permanently
Sounds like your power button could be damaged, some roms enable the phone to be woodmen up using volume button, the one I'm on, see sig

This problem occurs frequently endymion 3.4 after call or even if the call was not successful. It seems the problem is with proximity sensor. When I swipe my finger over sensor or show light over sensor area it wakes up but not always.I do not face this problem with other aosp ROM.
Left field, do you gave a screen protector? This can effect they proximity sensor

My desire s had a water touch, touch screen does not work :(

Hi,
Tonight my desire s had a water contact from the back side. When I realize, the phone was off and proximity sensor's light was red, and the buttons' lights under the screen was lit. Immediately I put battery, sim card and memory card out, dried phone and battery with a hair dryer. but proximity sensor's light is still red(?), the phone seem ok: it boots I can see my home screen but I can't use touch screen, it does not respond. Please help me with this issue.:crying:
The best way to try to get water out is to put the phone in uncooked rice, you'll have to leave it for quite some time but it is provably your best chance of getting it to work again

Screen digitizer weirdness

So every once in awhile my phone will start scrolling in-app. At first I thought maybe it was just oils on the skin, like some hp laptop touchpads, but after a while I disproved this. Now the real weird thing is that if I shut the screen off the come back to the app it stops. I'm thinking maybe something to do with sudden changes in ambient temps. Any thoughts?

Same here has done it since day one not very often but out of the blue screen acts up. I have watched it move icons on homescreens around before. But turning screen off then on stops it

Sometimes happens on mine, but only when using a high amperage charger or there are water drops on the screen (from rain).

Add me to the list. Mine has done it a handfull of times but turning the screen off then right back on has always corrected it.
Very odd.

Happens to me a lot when it's freezing outside. On/Off cycle fixes it
So my question now being, if we can assume its temp related, could this be solved by a patch to adjust based on ambient temps, or is that in the proprietary driver for the touch panel?

I notice it happens to me if I get the screen wet at all.
As stated, turning the screen off/on fixes it.

S view cover problem kitkat update

Hello
I'm using the original s view wireless cover but since the update to kitkat i'm experiencing problems.
Sometimes when pushing the standby button nothing appears on the screen. Even when opening tje cover it can take up to 5 seconds or more to turn on the screen. Sometimes it doesnt turn on
I've send it for repair my device without cover and they replaced the standby button but the problem remains.
Someone else with same problems?

Defect - Phone turns on without power button.

With double tap functionality off. Pressing the top left of the screen (next to power button) (moderate force) causes the phone to turn on/off. Just like pressing the power button.
Anyone else have this issue?
