Hi Guys.
I have a weird problem and i need somebody to please help me asap.
The problem is when I am accessing net. Here are a few cases when i click a hyperlink and see this error
Case1: When I am in RSS info feed, after the news i see "read more online" when I click this i get an error:
" There is no application associated with "XXXX". Run the application first , then open this file from within the application
Case 2: Running windows live Search from the home page. When i search something. it gives me the same error again:
" There is no application associated with "XXXX". Run the application first , then open this file from within the application
So the problem is accessing hyperlinks from any application. When i am surfing net using internet explorer, ther is no issue.
But when i try a hyperlink through some other application live live search or Info feed, it gives me this error.
Please help me guys

MDA Compact IV not view HTML files.

Hi,
My MDA Compact IV has stopped reading HTML files.
I think it was when I removed Opera from it and that is when it stopped.
I can still look up the internet and the pages display, however, if there is a HTML page saved on the phone it won't recongise it as a web page. It is a bit of a pain because I use RunGPS which allows you to show training files as HTML pages. However, when it tries to load the file it gives this error.
"The file Training Report cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found."
Even if I save this file to the phone, it does not display it as a readable file in explorer.
I am assuming that the phone has somehow lost its ability to recognise these files as HTML.
I also use Skyfire browser but the problem started before I installed this.
Any ideas?
Regards

Gmail crashing when viewing word documents

In the gmail application whenever i try and preview a word file i get the message:
"The application Gmail (process com.google.android.gm) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."
I have rooted my device and have RC33.
is viewing word documents supported at all?
supposedly if you have the QuickOffice app
not natively though...I myself was unsuccessful using that app but thats the only option as far as I know.

Click to collapse
Actually, about this, I can't see pdfs using the preview function.
Mine froze up on every attachment. I uninstalled download crutch and it works fine now.

[Q] Android: Exchange, Google Sync -> Attachments Corrupted

Just noticed this rather odd behaviour...
I've a Desire running Leedroid, and have set up Google Sync in Exchange.
The text contents of emails are received perfectly fine, but when I try to view attachments, that's when issues come in.
Originally I had Exchange set to download all attachments. While this would show every attachment as downloaded (and have the staple icon with the size), if I tried to open them, it would say "The file cannot be opened because it is corrupted."
I then changed it to never download attachments, and would fetch attachments manually. Now, if I did this, I could get the attachment, with the option to open directly or save to SD card. Either would be successful, and I could do either after the other IF I did not leave the email in question.
If I then pressed back and went back to the inbox list, then back into the email, trying to open the downloaded (and viewed! and saved!) attachment would result in the same error message as before.
What's going on?
Hi,
if anyone found please help its urgent
o.o
Dunno who that guy is, but yeah, still wanting to know if anyone knows why this is happening... closest thing I found was something that occurs on Droid phones, but the option that 'fixes' it (something about accepting all SSL certificates) doesn't appear on my phone.
I'm facing the same problem too. All my attachments are being automatically downloaded and saved. I am able to open the saved files but not the one's in the mail.
Anyone please help

Gmail attachments

I recently tried attaching a file such ass a pdf or just a regular word file from with in the gmail app using androzip pro and other file managers. It looks as if everything is attached ok but I noticed only after a few times if sending things and getting complains that nothing is attached that I noticed the file size doesn't show. So when I send the email it shows that nothing was attached. But on the other hand if I open a file and select to send the file via email that works perfectly fine until I try to attach a file from within the gmail app again. Please shine the light
Sent from my Sensation using xda premium
I've never used such a way to attach files to gmail messages on android, but what always has worked for me is to just:
start from within the gmail app
compose new message
tap the menu button
select attach file
choose your favorite file browsing app (i prefer root explorer)
select your file to attach
This has never failed for me at least.
