hi. my phone is samsung i9003. already rooted and upgraded to GB almost a year ago without any problem.
recently, it started rebooting on its own at first, i thought maybe it got a virus so I started uninstalling apps but it would reboot again. the apps I uninstalled are back again but the phone is saying error and I need to force close the apps. I did factory reset (vol down+ ok + power) but stil the same. I flashed it to another firmware thinking it will turn out ok but it got worse, set up wizard error and if i flash another firmware its the kernel error message. I read that its probably the internal sd that got fried and im better off buying a new one. is there any solution to this? thanks!

Hi everyone, this is my little Guide how to flash a modem (baseband) or a bootloader, or both together in Odin. Reading many threads in the last weeks, has showed me there are many people who have problems with flashing via Odin. I hope this thread will help and result in a successful flash for you guys and girls.:fingers-crossed:
First of all, i want to say, i'm using Odin 3.09 for flashing.:good:
You can get it from here:
<MODERATOR EDIT - MALWARE LINK REMOVED>
I explain how to flash a modem and a bootloader together at the same time. You can follow the steps also for only one of both.
Everything you are doing with your phone is on your own risk. I am not responsible for anything.
So let's start with the flash:
You have downloaded your modem (let's say NB9....tar.md5) and your bootloader? OK, so
1. rightclick on Odin and start it as administrator.
2. Now open the windows taskmaster. End all "Kies" processes.
3. In Odin untick "Auto reboot"
4. For the bootloader select BL and browse to your bootloader file.
5. For the modem select CP and browse to your modem file.
The next step is VERY IMPORTANT
6. Power off your phone
7. Start your phone into download mode by holding Vol down, and power button.
IMPORTANT: DON'T REBOOT INTO DOWNLOAD MODE FROM YOUR POWER MENU! ALWAYS USE THE THREE BUTTON COMBO!
8. Once your phone is in download mode, connect it to your PC. (Best results always with your original Samsung USB cable)
Odin should say "Added" now.
9. Press the Start button in Odin and let it do it's magic.:cyclops:
wait about 2 - 5 minutes.
10. When Odin shows "PASS" you can unplug your phone.
IMPORTANT: WAIT UNTIL YOU SEE "PASS" DO NOT UNPLUG THE PHONE BEFORE!
11. When you have unplugged your phone, it is still in download mode. Just hold the power button about 8 seconds until your phone reboots.
DONE
Go to Settings/my device/about phone. There you will see your new baseband.:good:
To check if the bootloader was flashed correct you need a terminal emulator.
type: su (press enter)
Type: getprop ro.bootloader (press enter)
The result shows wich bootloader you have.
THANKS TO: @Wuby986 who teached me many many things.
Well done!! And if i helped somehow i am really happy mate !!!!

Well, i think there is a problem with the display if is booting and in recovery is the same. You can try to flash with odin stock firmware but you have to do it "blind". Search for odin tutorial anf follow step by step even if you don't see enithing on screen.
Sent from my GT-I9105P using Tapatalk
If you want to go blind into download mode maybe the following will help:
1: hold power volume down and home button for around 5/6 seconds then let them go
2: press the volume up key and see if odin recognize the device.

What you've done before, did you flash any customs/zip files??, have you tried flash it to the stock using Odin??
Hello,
My friend gave me a Samsung Galaxy SM-J100H because it wouldn't go past the Samsung Logo so I tried to root it. I used Odin and everything seemed to be going well until it restarted. When it restarted it said there was a problem with the USB connection. A window appeared with 3 different device drivers and the first two checked with a green tick and the 3rd the Samsung one gave me a red cross. I quickly tried to reinstall the USB driver but to no avail.
Now, I can't get into the Power+Home+Volume Up menu, all I can get is the Power+Home+Volume Down to work which brings up Press Volume Up to Continue. When I do that, even without the USB plugged in it just says Downloading.... Do not turn off target!! I left this overnight in case it somehow cached the root but to no avail.
Have I bricked it totally? Is there any way I can recover this? Is there a program that will wipe everything completely so I can start from Scratch? I refuse to believe that I can't solve a software issue with software. Is there something in the hardware I can do that would wipe everything like using a Jumper to clear the CMOS and BIOS for a PC, is there anything like that I could do? I know there would be any jumpers but maybe connecting certain connections it could effectively wipe it?
Even when I try to start again with Odin I can't since it will just go straight to Downloading.... Do not turn off target!! as soon as I press Volume Up.
Is there ANYTHING I can do?
Hi there and welcome to assist,
If you can enter in download mode using combo Power+Home+Volume Down then you can flash stock firmware. Search with google for this firmware and flash thru Odin.
Flashing instructions:
Extract (unzip) the firmware file
Download Odin v3.11.1
Extract Odin ZIP file
Open Odin v3.11.1
Reboot Phone in Download Mode (press and hold Home + Power + Volume Down buttons)
Connect phone and wait until you get a blue sign in Odin
Add the firmware file to AP / PDA
Make sure re-partition is NOT ticked
Click the start button, sit back and wait few minutes
