1. Flashing a 4.0+ ROM/Kernel when you're using Gingerbread
If you want use a Jellybean/Kitkat ROM firstly you should upgrade your device to stock 4.1.2 otherwise get ready for brick.
2. Flashing CoCore kernel when you're using AOSP ROMs
Also you can't use this perfect kernel on AOSP ROMs (Cyano-AOKP-PA...) For some reason cocafe didn't add support for these ROMs. But AOSP kernels are based on CoCore. Shortly don't try to flash CoCore kernel on AOSP ROMs.
3. Writing false code in terminal
As you remember; early of our development there wasn't simple tools like UKF (and Triangle Away didn't support us.) You had to write DD codes in Terminal Emulator for flashing kernel and resetting warranty. Stretch out your fingers because even if you write false a single letter GUESS WHAT hardbrick.
4. Disconnecting your Odin process
Don't f*ck with Odin when he works with your device. (AKA rooting, recovery or firmware flash) If you disconnect your device at the false time, maybe you won't see Android anymore.

5. Flashing a China ROM when you're using Un-China device
Yes they have different things in their firmwares. If you didn't buy your Janice from China don't flash China firmwares.
6. Flashing a Gingerbread ROM when you're using Jellybean
You can't simply downgrade your device. You should have proper files for downgrading after you can flash any Gingerbread ROM/Firmware. MORE INFO
7. Ticking Re-Partition
If you're using Janice, re-partition is here for only downgrading. Don't use if you're rooting/flashing a regular firmware.
8. Dirty Installs
Clean install comes with stability. Dirty install might causes bootloops, softbricks or errors. It's your choice.
9. HAMMER
A hammer can cause too much thing.
So dear noobs (newbies), before spamming in Original dev threads or in inappropriate places to ask question about bla bla, take a look here, it may be useful! Good job King

Actually, what did you do with your device is? I read you mention PIT-16GB, if you want to downgrade your device to the stock GB? Or do you want to do an update of stock GB to stock JB?
Well, since you've mentioned PIT-16GB, then I assume that you want to downgrade your device to stock GB. Now, you need to consider is whether your device is 8GB or 16GB? If 8GB then use the PIT-8Gb. If 16Gb, then use PIT-16Gb when you flash through Odin. Try clicking on the "MORE INFO" above, then you will see a thread in how to downgrade your device.
Mmmh ... I guess my answer is too easy to digest. I just read your post on the other thread. Maybe you should do as suggested by Senior @shut_down

So.... Do you have any idea.... What will happen when I flash my phone with another firmware!?
I really need answer for that...
Thank you...
Which other firmware are you planning to flash. You can flash XXKPE then XXKPQ over your existing firmware. Most mods are based on XXKPQ so I would recommend that

If you flash with another update firmware that is exclusively for i9003 nothing will happen the only thing is that you will be updated.

Follow all instructions carefully and read up a lot on how to flash before flashing. As long as you do that, there really isn't much of a chance for you to hard brick your phone. Also, juz don't interior the flashing process

Baseband is related with modem and with the data transfer. For example i am from Argentina and has flashed XXXKPQ with the baseband of this ROM i have no coverga 3G/H only 2G cos this baseband works in 1900 frecuency and it isnt working in my location so i have to flash trougth odin baseband from LUBKB1 wich is for Argentina with works in frecuecy 950 and in this way I have covergage of 3G/H. I hope will be useful. And remember always flash firmware for i9003 or you will brick your phone.
sorry for my poor english.

That is beacause you have the ordinary Samsung recovery and not the CWM.
Flash the phone with the universal CF-Root of amitbagaria, and then you will be able to do a rom backup (nandroid) with the CWM.
OK, I've this question that prevented me from applying this upgrade.
1) I've stock ROM ddkt1 gingerbread 2.3.6 (through one package) on my phone. Is it a RFS or EXT file system?
2) Will it be OK to flash over it? (assuming the steps are followed correctly)
3) After installing this, if things go wrong while messing with the phone in the long run, will it be possible to revert back to stock ROM?
Please clear my doubts, I'm so ecstatic about this CWM release! Cheers!
as you are on stock 2.3.6 root it first.......and install cwm from tj_style.......stock rom is rfs file system it will not change unitl you flash a custom rom which is of ext4....you wont be able to do nandroid backup using cwm on your custom rom other features work as they should.....if anything goes wrong you can revert back to stock rom using odin download any official firmware and flash it.....if you are planning to use custom roms then after flashing a custom rom do a nandroid backup then there will be no need of a stock rom.....any doubts comment i will reply asap..
Simple, clear and to the point. Just what I needed to know, thank you.
This is my first appearance on Linux based OS and there are numerous questions flying around when tweaking around so the last thing I would like to ask is, will it be able to change the EXT to RFS after flashing the original ROM?
And yes, most importantly, among the few custom build ROM's (creed,razo...etc) around here which is the best bug free ROM with stability and performance? Let's be honest here since I don't want to follow that trial and error pattern in finding the best one once again, thanks for your help!
imho, it's razodroid.
and yeah you'll go back to rfs if you flash stock rom.
Thank you @lomash, so which version of razodroid you're referring to? Will it be flashable on my said ROM?
Wait for few days version 2.2 is coming for beginners razo 1 is the best its but free

you can revert back to rfs by flashing any official firmwares i cant find a reason why you would do so.....razodroid v2 is the one with least bugs but it isnt that fast as a beast.......razodriod v1 is the fastest that ive ever used and im currently on it......but v1 comes at a cost a small music bug which is neglectable....the music stops and starts while changing from app drawer to home screen.....razodroid v2.2 is almost ready to hit the forums.... so taking these things into consideration you can either go for razodroid v1 or wait for 2.2.....in doubts comment below....

Can't wait for the v2.2 so I downloaded and applied the v.1 through CWM, and it got some punch of torque packed in it! Awesome and so fly!! About the music bug, yes I noticed a flicker with the audio while cruising around some apps, notification bar and on clicking the home button, but on installing GO launcher it disappeared (weird), can't be happier!

That doesn't work either....It starts to boot and freezes. The tablet is VERY hot. I cannot recommend this ROM to anybody. I have wasted more time trying to make this work than it's worth. I appreciate your effort and time, but this rom is completely unusable on our tablet (P5113 model).

Do i have to root before flashing this ? because if i directly flash this on my un-rooted stock phone then i wont be able to backup my EFS/Rom in case something goes wrong ? and if i do root my phone first then it will enable the flash counter which i want to avoid.
So what do you suggest I should do to prevent any disaster from happening ?
Thanks again for earlier reply

So what do you suggest I should do to prevent any disaster from happening ?
Thanks again for earlier reply

since you did not provide much information,
you can go into recovery mode (if you can)
You can buy a JIG from ebay or make your own. there are tutorials about it. all you need is 1 usb cable to sacrifice and 3 100K resistors.
okay,,this phone cannot boot in download mode..as no download mode is detected.
i cant install cwm because i cant use odin to flash it..

Try to find a service center that offers a Jtag service. Last resort to get the phone working again afaik.
Moved to General Q&A as OP has a note 2 clone

beside finding a service centre.anymore suggestions?
did you try recovery from firmware
Go to settings, power and turn the fastboot option off.
Then you should be able to go to bootloader using the power+vol thing
Also, you could go to developer, in settings, and enable the usb debug stuff
then try adb reboot bootloader
you can also search google for how to unlock bootloader you will get some ideas.
already tried..but stiil the same..when i get this phone.this phone is pre rooted.i cant even install cwm in it..i can only use stock recovery?

A note 2 clone? There's no development support so hope there's a service centre for clones.. Good luck.
If u are in stock recovery put the philz kernal+cwm match to your rom in the ext sd card and then choos the option update from the from sd card u will find philz + kernal zip select it.
It will help u I think
See the dr ketan thread of root and unroot.

Read this and u will find kernel match to your rom modem. You must remeber what modem you installed.

If u brick your fon then it will cost u a lot.

i tried that .and still the same.and whenever i install,it will will show install halfway and show installation aborted.and please note..that this phone is is pre rroted.so i do not know how the seller rooted for me
If its showing custom recovery and in the home menu there is not super su app then its not rooted. But if there is a super su app its rooted. And its will be a rare case. And most of the Phil'z kernal are bootloop fixed. See this.

okay..just found out this.
my phone is using mtk 6575 single sim phone.
anyone 1 know where i can find the recoveries?..i tried everything..and nothing seems to work..
and my phone has grren android with red exclamation mark.
Take it to a service centre which offers Jtag. That is your only chance to get it working again. Flashing kernels wont do anything if your bootloader is messed up.

You can not flash any ROMs if your bootloader is messed up meaning it won't load any kernels and let alone a ROM. Recoveries are parts of the kernel or the TOM but since you can't use any of those you won't be able to use a recovery. I'm sorry but seems like you've hard bricked your phone, making it as useful as a paperweight.
for the bootloader part..i did not break..it come with this intact..
