I tried flashing the ROM on my ladies tablet and got a boot loop. I almost lost my life...lol. I say stay away until the op can confirm that its the wrong file. I tried no wipe, bootloop.....nandroid back, wipe and flash, bootloop. No good for me!

That doesn't work either....It starts to boot and freezes. The tablet is VERY hot. I cannot recommend this ROM to anybody. I have wasted more time trying to make this work than it's worth. I appreciate your effort and time, but this rom is completely unusable on our tablet (P5113 model).

FYI, I have installed this on our two here at home, been running flawlessly since the 7th. We also have the P5113.
It is no problem, I won't add any more time, effort into the tablet section. I'll stay compiling my I9000, I9100, I9300 ROMs.

i agree dont leave because someone else cant appericate your work. i do get the bootloop on the start screen as well but im not discourage just need to fiqure out what im doing wrong. question do i install from interal sd card or external. thanks again for the ROM

According to the instruction from the developer it says" Copy the ZIP to your sdcard" assuming he is talking about external storage. Not sure as I am rumminf CM10, and running without ant issues.

So basically this is a stripped down rom of fresh rom 2.3.3
took alot of apps that were taking up alot of memory. this means no friendstream no live wallpapers i do not know about overclocking i think it does but im not sure i really dont use it, also i dont know if it has a2sd. you should have 109 mb availible after flashing. remember i am not responsible for what you do to your phone. always do a nandroid back up. wipe everything before flash.

Well, it's failing at verificaiton. I tried a wipe, but it didn't fix it (didn't think it would...). I'll try re-downloading it to see if that might fix it.

alright i downloaded and did a wipe and everything then flashed and everything went ok maybe it was a corrupt download and something happened but everything went fine with me tell me if this keeps on happening after you redownload.

This is the EC10 update for the Mesmerize. There is no difference between this one and the official update from the USCC homepage other than I rebuilt this one to work with Odin, instead of Kies.
To use these files, flash in Odin.
#####IF YOU HAVE VOODOO ENABLED, DISABLE LAGFIX BEFORE YOU USE ODIN#####
1. Pull your phone battery
2. Start Odin
3. Click PIT and select the .pit file from the download
4. Check the PDA box, Click PDA and select the .tar.md5 file from the download
5. Plug your phone into the USB port and hold volume down
-your phone should go into download mode
6.Verify that Odin sees your phone.
-if not, try another USB port
7. Click Start

Quick question, does this rom require a factory reset/will I lose everything if I flash the rom?
I always backup anyway, just wondering if I should flash this now or wait till I get home and can access my titanium backups.
Also, do I need to do the odin flash first (like when going to the 2.2 PnP's) or can I just flash the rom on it's own?

I'm thinking that the AOSP part is the kernel (or at least part of it) and it's voodoo and faster than our previous one - but I could be way off. I'm about to find out just getting the files downloaded.
Phidelt would have to advise on whether EA11 kernel would work but I would imagine it would considering it did with the last two and this is just closer to being polished off, no major changes.
Is MMS and bluetooth working in the hybrid rom?

this is definitely a WIPE ALL situation. With Opt. A, you should have us firmware *.21. with opt. B, it doesnt matter which fw you are on. As long as you have clockwork installed, you can flash B. It also does not matter which rom you are coming from, just remember to wipe all

The _full_ version can be flashed from everything, doesn't matter. You will end up with stock US ICS rooted.
The smaller upgrade can only be applied if you are on US STOCK 8.6.5.21 (root or rooted doesn't matter).

This release is an JellyBean Update Checker for the Acer Iconia A210. Many people who already
rooted the device got into trouble making an update to Jelly Bean. With this "tool" you can check
the Acer-Dependencies for the official JB-Update and correct things before you make the actual
update itself.
What does this "tool" do?
This "tool" is a stripped version of the original Acer-JB update. It's only the checking-part for the
update-dependencies.
What does this "tool" not do?
It will NOT update your system ! It's only checking whether you changed needed files on the system.
This "tool" also won't check your kernel or your bootanimation since these are most customized things
for now. If you were able to change these, than you know how to get them back on "stock" again.
Requirements
You need a custom-recovery file or CWM. Since this "tool" is a normal "update.zip" i had to sign it
myself. Therefore....
YOU CAN'T USE THIS TOOL WITH THE STOCK-RECOVERY!!!

Well.... let me put it this way.... I don't think that ACER will bring out an update to JB on specific regions... With this in mind i'd say "yes".... it's suitable as long as you have ICS... If not... all you get is an error...

... you have done strange things to your system app... Replace them with stock "AcerShellData.odex" and we'll see how far you'll get. If you don't have the "stock" version... i'll could dump you.

You have a tablet that stuck on boot? Stuck on acer logo?
You have a rooted ICS tablet and install the update to JellyBean?
THAN you have a problem at the moment, because you have a JB bootloader that don't cooperate with boot.img, system.img and recovery.img.

i want JB system.img, but I think to lock the bootloader can help original system.img from ICS, because original boot.img from ICS

- 'fix permissions' works
- the backup archives can still be opened by renaming .tar.a to .tar and easily be edited
This already makes some things easier. Let's see what else is in there...

- couldn't mount sdcard. Anybody else can confirm that (maybe a win driver problem)?
What about all the bugs the old one had like not being not able to turn the phone off, mount sd as mass storage and can it flash boot.img?

Tried turning it off and it don't stay off and can't mount sd as mass storage, so guessing it can't flash boot.img but not tested it.

Black wing Is a hell of a dev and I'm sure he will fix the broken stuff.
But as Darky said there's features in twrp like flagging boot that cwm can't do. Maybe more time will tell.

1 or 3 things are fixed, Clockworkmod Poweroff no longer exist blame koush for that , SD mas storage dont work for the moment, but now you can flash boot.img in recovery w/o any kind of problems.
please repor any problems so i can track them down and fix them.

I love CWM and it sucked that it had some bugs but I always new it's limitations and never tried TWRP. Not hating on it just felt since I paid for CWM back in the myTouch 3G/4G days I wouldn't abandon it unless it was completely useless[which its not].
So are you working directly with Koush or are you just fixing what you can to make it function better?
Also, when I downloaded from your link it wasn't a zip, just the disc image.. OP says extract but I'm guessing that's not the case.
