About
The WinDroid Toolkit is a Windows program built in Visual Studio using the C# programming language that simplifies the rooting process for many Android devices. The toolkit makes it easy to unlock your bootloader, flash a custom recovery and gain permanent root. It also includes other functions such as flashing kernels, pushing files and installing apps. If you find it helpful, give me a thanks and a donation if you can. If you find a bug or have a feature request, feel free to leave a reply. Thanks!

Bootloader unlocking definitely requires a PC, but there may be other methods since you are S-OFF. You'd have to check those for yourself though.

Post 1 - Information

Post 3 - Bugs, Future Additions to the GUI, FAQ
I would like to add for those that like my toolkit, PLEASE DO NOT POST IT ELSEWHERE WITHOUT MY PERMISSION!
I have seen multiple sites who copy and paste my work to their site! If I do not approve of it, then do not do it! it will discourage me from adding updates since it is being used for their own benefits!
tl;dr.
If you post my work without permission, don't expect updates!
I created an easy to use GUI program for the HTC Amaze and I decided to make one for the HTC Desire S. I spent a good over 10+ hours to learn how to script, watch videos on how to do it, working on it during school when I should have been listening lol and all that fun stuff. I am going to fix it and up and add more updates to it. You CAN place requests and I will try to fulfill it!
If this helped you out, Please press the thanks button and if you want, you can always donate!
FEATURES
- Install HTC Drivers
- Enter Bootloader (after it enters into bootloader, press the power button to enter Fastboot) REMOVED. No longer necessary.
- Get Token ID. Register at HTCDev, login to the site and submit the Token ID here. Buttons have been replaced and include links.
- Unlock Bootloader (Must place Unlock_code.bin in the folder)
- Install Recoveries
TWRP
User Provided Recovery
-Flash Kernels provided

- Initial Release
v2.0 Released! 1-31-2013
- Updated TWRP to 2.4.0.0

- When you want to relock the bootloader, it'll boot into bootloader and then lock it.

C:\Users\John_Smith\Dropbox\Phones\Amaze_All-In-One_Kit_V2.4

FAQs
Q - Why Did you make this?
A - To make life easier
Q - You are limited on features. Why?
A- You can always make a request!
Q - Will this work on other devices?
A - Only the fastboot commands, HTC Dev unlock (device specific) and the HTC drivers. Toolkit is made for the specific device.
Q - Will you support more devices in the future?
A - If people REALLY want, I can make it happen. I just don't want to make anything that nobody would use.
Q - Awesome! Can I make a donation?
A - Of course! Do not feel obligated though. If you would like to make a donation, you can click the button on my toolkit or under my username.
You guys should thank the person that requested that I bring you guys a toolkit

This is a GUI program built using C# in Visual Studio 2013 that takes advantage of ADB and Fastboot commands and puts them into an easy-to-use toolkit. I will be continually developing it and trying out new features, so feel free to request any features you may want. Keep in mind that I am only 16 and have only been coding in C# since June, so I may not be able to implement every requested feature, and if it is possible, I may require assistance from our more skilled members. Any and all criticism is welcome, from the handling of a certain function to the misalignment of a button. I'm a neat freak myself, so no issue is too small! I hope you enjoy the toolkit and I hope that I will be able to expand it further as time goes on. :fingers-crossed:

Hey just wondering, does this have the AT&T 3.18 root exploit or does that have to be run separately. I'm already rooted, I was just curious.

What OS are you running? My toolkit seems to have some issues with XP. It also requires .NET Framework 4.0, so check to see if you have that installed.

I'd love to, and have the capability to, but the S-OFF developers have specified that they don't want the exploits packed in to any programs, as they think it is easy enough already.

Just to let you know I used this and couldn't get supercid for some reason... So I obtained Supercid from the other method here and used this program to successfully unlock bootloader, install twrp, root, and s-off I suppose. Made things just that much easier when everything is together. Thanks again
HTCdev blocks superCid?
In this post here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2137959 they talk about how superCid is now blocked by HTC dev or something and that you have to do some workaround. I was just wondering if this tool implements the new method for unlocking your bootloader or if you need to use some other method. Apparently HTC doesn't want anyone having root cause they make the hardest phones to root lol. my Samsung GS3 was waaaaaayyyyy easier haha. Just wondering if this tool works with superCid still or if htcdev has blocked it somehow. Also, if there is some other method for gaining superCID, which at the moment im not even sure what superCID does, could someone direct me to a easy guide for attaining it? And maybe also explain why superCID is needed haha? I understand the bootloader unlocking and what not. Also why is it so important to have S-off? I rooted my old HTC G2 and I got S-off on it but I didn't really know why I needed it. Any and all help is appreciated!! Thanks!
Do you have to install the optional .net 4 updates to get this working in xp?

Considering it was written in VS, and there is only an .exe download... Imma go with Windows only.
It's also called "WinDroid"
I think it is not very hard to memorize the equivalent linux commands.
Besides, we (the linux users) have to use the terminal from time to time anyway.

Since I've upgraded from the Photon Q (now rocking a Z3) I figured trying to give some life to the Q would be worth it. The Toolkit works fine. In under 10 minutes I had root access with only a few mouse clicks. I'll try flashing a ROM next to see how that goes, but for unlocking your phone, this one stop shop works perfectly.

I post this one specifically for the tool to give feedback, and afaik youre not the OP here. it didnt work as you can see then i try to flash the recovery via fastboot. then i posted on your thread.
so instead of crossposting, I was only informing the OP here about my experience about the tool. Please re-read what i post here, then compare what i post on the thread. On the other thread I clearly said i tried multiple methods, which includes this one as well.

Thank you so much for this and your hard work! Do you happen to know if root through this method will still break our camera?

Probably, since the toolkit just puts together most of the unlock/root tutorials on the forum into one program.
Alright thank you! But you're tool is still greatly appreciated, I'll probably be using it soon! Since you've made it so easy to do. Thank you again!
Can this be used as individual steps? Like if one just wants root, so they would just do step 3?
Hi,
I just tried your tool,
Unlock procedure was ok
But flash TWRP seems to have failed, because when trying step3, it rebooted on a Droid with red exclamation mark.
I forced power off by holding power, then reboot in bootloader and flashed manually TWRP using IMG from the official XDA thread : and it was ok
Maybe something (link ?) wrong in your tool ?
No file available in Logs directory.
Cheers,

Thanks for letting me know. I tested the TWRP flashing with my HTC and Nexus devices, but it may be different for Motorola devices.

you might have to include mfastboot though I'm not sure as I don't have my Moto E unlocked.
Just a heads up, this doesn't work on the XT1528 variant, due to it not being eligible for unlocking.

Even mobogienies PC app can't one click root it just tell me what's the best application to root without using boot loader my only motive is to use link2sd not flash ROMs so I need one click root please help
Pratham Nathyal ( MotoE2 3G, Lollipop5.0.2)

This toolkit worked like a champ to unlock my bootloader on my Moto E 2nd gen XT1526. Can't thank you enough, donation coming you're way.

It's possible that the Universal ADB Drivers aren't working correctly. Try the drivers Xiaomi gives here and see if that fixes it.

The toolkit uses the official Xiaomi unlock, so there's not much else you can do except wait for approval. I wish I had a magic command to unlock all Xiaomi devices.
